Episode Seven: Trust Noone

Day Twenty:
A Question for Kyle Harriet decided to avoid Kyle for a while until she was sure that she’d say the appropriate thing. As she said in a confessional, “I don’t agree with what Kyle did to our tribe but I still love him to death!”

“Kyle, why did you do what you did?” Harriet asked him somewhat disappointed in his actions. Kyle looked at her and sighed.

“Ruben, Olivia, Babette and Cecely had an alliance to get us out of the game,” Kyle told her.

“No they didn’t,” Harriet replied. “They just had an alliance to get to the Final Four, not to get us our specifically.”

“I know, but that means if we didn’t switch it would have been one of us as their next victim.”

“Look Kyle, just because that happened doesn’t mean you can put our tribe at a disadvantage. I like how we’re all playing the game and at this point I would be happy if any one of us Matahari won the game.”

“Harriet, I love you like my mother. But I think that joining this other side will give you and me a better advantage in this game,” Kyle told her.

“Who exactly is the other side?” Harriet asked.

“Cole, Emily, Asher, Madison and Mick,” Kyle said.

“Just four days ago, Cole and Emily were trying to vote me out of the game, now they want me in an alliance? Kyle I can’t trust them and I don’t want to betray Ruben, Olivia and Babette.”

“Harriet, you have to do this for us,” Kyle said.

“Tell me this, then. If we vote out the other three wouldn’t you and I be at a disadvantage with the Bulans? The furthest one of us would make would be Final Six. If we were to stick with the others, though, we could at least get Final Four. It’s all worth it, Kyle.”

“I’m not joining the others,” Kyle sternly said. “I’m sorry, I like the Bulan tribe better than them and I would really like to see the downfall of Ruben and Babette.”

“What has gotten into you?” Harriet asked him. She attempted to change his mind but Kyle was firm in his plan to vote with Cole and the Horsemen alliance. In a confessional later that day, Harriet confessed all her feelings into the camera: “I love Kyle but I can’t trust these people. Cole and Emily both voted for me to leave the game no more than a few days ago and then all of the sudden they want me in that alliance? I don’t want to be a pawn, and I know they only want me in their to be an extra vote so they get their way. I don’t understand why Kyle is being so stubborn about this, because he’s not acting like himself. He’s high on a power streak or something.”
