Episode Nine: Ding Dong

Reward Challenge
The remaining eight survivors made their way onto Challenge Beach. The lush green waves crashed upon the shore as they saw the two hosts looking at them. They turned towards them and told them the essence of the day’s challenge. The Host’s said, “Today, we have it in easy for you.” The Survivor’s seemed pleased with that. They continued. “The challenge is this: Each one of you will take turns looking in the center bin. In that bin there are nine different sections, and in each of these sections is a different colored rock. You will have a minute to memorize which rock is where, and then you must go back to pick up your pad. I will ask questions on where the rocks are placed, and the person who gets the most correctly will win the challenge.”

The Survivors took their minute to look in at the nine rocks and were then asked the questions. The Survivor who got the most points correct was Asher, and he won the reward: A Helicopter Ride with a friend. Asher wanted to take Kyle along as a date, but instead he decided to take his “best bud” in the game along. This person was Cole.

Brotherly Love
As Cole and Asher were being swept away on a scenic helicopter ride of all Indonesia, they began to talk about the game. Asher thought that things in their alliance were getting a little bit rocky because of Mick, Madison and Emily. Asher asked, “Do you think we’re doing something wrong?”

“Not that I know of,” Cole said. “I do think we need to support Emily’s wishes, though, and maybe vote out somebody else besides Mick, because otherwise she may leave us behind and all that we’ve worked for may become a big bust.

“I guess,” Asher said somewhat disappointed. “I really wanted Mick to be voted out though, I think he’s a risk.”

“Well, we’re going to have to deal with him for now,” Cole responded. “I just hope Madison doesn’t flip out.”

The Truth Be Told

Madison talking to Olivia

Meanwhile back at the Air Tegrin camp, Madison took the opportunity when Olivia was alone to talk to her about the game. “Hey Olivia, can I have a word with you?” Madison screamed to her.

Olivia rolled her eyes, for she didn’t really like Madison, and said, “Sure, what’s up?”

“I want to talk to you about voting today,” Madison said. “I think that we need to join together to vote out Mick.”

Olivia was extremely shocked when she heard of the plan Madison had. “Why Mick?” Olivia asked.

“I think Mick’s the one of us who can prevail and be strong in the challenges. He’s ruining all of our chances of winning by sticking around, that’s why I think he should go.”

“I don’t know what to say,” Olivia said.

“Then say, you’ll do it!” Madison snapped at her. “The old fool doesn’t have an alliance, so he can’t form a voting block against us! So I think this is a perfect plan.”

“For you,” Olivia snapped at her. Olivia calmed down and told Madison, “I’ll think about it.” Later in a confessional, she said her plan: “I think that maybe if I told Mick about what Madison is trying to do, then I can get him to vote with us for the next Tribal Council. Then things will be so screwed up between him and the Horsemen that he’ll want to pick more of them off, and we can get Matahari back in this game!”

At that, Olivia walked up to Mick and started talking to him. “Hey Mick, what’s up?

“Nothing much, sweetheart. How are you?” Mick asked.

“I’m doing great, but I need to tell you something,” Olivia said.

“Sure, what’s that?” Mick asked.

“Well, Madison just came up to me like fifteen minutes ago and said that her, Cole, Emily and Asher wanted to vote you out because you were too strong.”

Mick looked shocked as if in a state of disbelief. “Why would they do this?”

“She said they all think you’re too strong and a big risk, and that you’re an old fool and that you couldn’t possibly stop it if they got this upper hand.” Olivia saw Mick was very pissed off, but she continued: “I like you a hell of a lot more than the others, though, and I think that maybe we can form an alliance to vote out Madison tonight.”

Olivia and Mick finished their conversation and Mick went over immediately to Emily to confront her and ask her if it was all completely true. Emily broke down, started crying, and balled: “Yes! It is, I’m sorry. They want to vote you out and I tried to convince them not to, but they’re set in it. I don’t know what to do, Mick.”

Mick was shocked and realized that this whole time he was being played as a pawn. Then he got an idea, “Join an alliance with me!”

“Pardon?” Emily asked, somewhat confused.

“Join an alliance with me, that way we can pick off the other Bulans.”

“How will this work?” Emily asked.

“This week, we’ll act as if we’re on line with Matahari and vote with them to get out Madison and Asher the next two weeks. Then once we did that, we can take Kyle on board our alliance and vote out the other three. That way it will be an ideal Final Three, and I can win us immunity and get us Final Two!”

“It might work, but I’ll have to see. Can I get back to you?” Emily asked.

“Of course!” Mick replied.
