  CONSTRUCTION UPDATE WEEK OF OCTOBER 3 - OCTOBER 10 Motorists on I-280, between the Buckeye Greenbelt in North Toledo and Seaman Street in East Toledo, may encounter periodic daytime traffic stops of up to ten minutes in length, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. No daytime lane closures are anticipated, but motorists may encounter nighttime (7 p.m. - 6 a.m.) and weekend lane closures. Westbound Front Street is reduced to one lane between Consaul Street and I-280. The speed limit on I-280 between Summit Street and the Buckeye Greenbelt is 35 MPH. The following ramps in north Toledo are closed: The Buckeye Greenbelt entrance ramp to southbound I-280. Traffic is detoured via Galena and Summit. The northbound I-280 exit ramp to the Buckeye Greenbelt. Traffic is detoured via northbound I-280, northbound I-75, Alexis Road, southbound I-75, and southbound I-280 back to the Buckeye Greenbelt. The southbound I-280 exit ramp to Summit Street. The Summit Street entrance ramp to northbound I-280. Ash Street and Huron Street are both closed at I-280. Manhattan Boulevard is reduced to one lane between Beaumont Drive and Counter Street in North Toledo, during the replacement of the Manhattan Boulevard bridges over I-280. Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, there will be traffic stops of 15 minutes in duration on the southbound I-75 ramp to southbound I-28, during the placement of steel bridge beams on the Manhattan Boulevard bridge over I-280. These traffic stops will be complete by 6 a.m. on Friday, October 3. Other ramp and street closures associated with this project: The Manhattan Boulevard entrance ramp to southbound I-280 is closed until April 2004. Harvey Street, at Manhattan Boulevard, is closed until April 2004. Buckeye Street, at Manhattan Boulevard, is closed until April 2004.
Road widening and median construction restrict traffic to one lane each way between I-475 and Holloway Road. Intersections on the south side of the road may be closed for up to an hour at a time next week during final paving of the eastbound lanes.

Reconstruction and resurfacing require lane closings on Detroit between Dorr Street and Woodruff Avenue, and on Fearing Boulevard between Airport Highway and Buckingham Street.

Repairs and resurfacing require varying flag zones between the Ohio-Indiana line and Defiance, while landscaping may require flag zones east of State Rt. 424 in Defiance. Delays are likely.

Resurfacing restricts traffic to one lane each way at varying locations between State Rt. 579 and the Toledo-Oregon line. Delays are likely.
Final work on a bridge reconstruction project requires occasional flag zones through next week.
CHERRY STREET BRIDGE Reconstruction restricts traffic to one lane each way. Delays are likely during daytime hours.
Bridge reconstruction south of Portage reduces traffic to one lane each way.

Resurfacing restricts traffic to one lane each way in work zone areas between State Rt. 582 and Roachton Road through Monday.

Resurfacing requires daytime flag zones between the east side of Delta and the State Rt. 109 junction west of town.
W. SOUTH BOUNDARY ST. Widening restricts traffic to one direction between State Rts. 25 and 199, with delays likely.
Repair work requires lane and ramp closings at North Huron River Drive in Rockwood, Mich.

Joint and deck repairs require varying nighttime lane closings on the DiSalle Bridge, starting Monday and continuing through Oct. 17. Certain repairs may require two-lane closings, resulting in extensive traffic delays. Work hours are 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Stripe painting and reflector installation require daytime lane closings between Bowling Green and Cygnet through next week. Delays are likely.

Interchange reconstruction requires lane closings near North Baltimore from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The State Rt. 18 entrance to northbound I-75 is closed until Oct. 17. Bridge repairs north of Bluffton require one southbound lane to be closed from Sunday night through Friday morning.

MIAMI ST./FIRST ST. Reconstruction closes this route between Navarre Avenue and Oak Street starting this morning. Miami has reopened to southbound traffic south of Navarre.
Pavement repairs and resurfacing restrict traffic to one lane each way between I-75 and Raintree Parkway. Expect delays.
Pavement repairs and resurfacing require nighttime lane closings and occasional ramp closings between U.S. 23 and I-75, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through next week.
Road realignment closes the route between the Ottawa-Wood county line and Genoa. Detour via State Rt. 51 and I-280.
Turn lane construction closes Route 295 at U.S. 24 until Oct. 15. Detour via U.S. 24 and State Rt. 64. Delays may occur on U.S. 24.
A culvert replacement closes the road between Fort Meigs and Hull Prairie roads, near Perrysburg, for 45 days starting Monday. Detour via State Rts. 25 and 582.
Repainting of the Central Avenue bridge over I-75 requires nighttime lane closings on the freeway. Expansion joint repairs have closed Central through Oct. 6. Detours are posted.

Expansion joint repairs close the bridge over I-75 between North Cove Boulevard and Jeep Parkway, with detours posted. A waterline project causes eastbound lane restrictions between Midwood and Upton avenues.

SYLVANIA AVENUE Starting Tuesday, road reconstruction closes the road to through traffic for two weeks between Lathrop and Berkey-Southern roads.
A pavement reconstruction project restricts traffic to one lane each way between Summerfield Road and Dundee, Mich. Delays are likely, including on weekends. Use I-75, I-275, and I-94 to get to Ann Arbor.
Sewer construction on the north side of Tiffin closes the road for three weeks, starting Wednesday.
Overpass reconstruction closes the route at I-75 in Findlay until early October.
