Michelle Harmison stood in front of the grave. 'Trevor Lee Scott Penick, 1979-2003.' Her fiance had been stabbed 4 times by his best friend. It was only 2 months ago.  

"Hey Trev," she said talking to the gravestone. "Guess what today is. It's October 24th. We're supposed to be married today. But I guess that can't happen, right." She kneeled in front of it. "I mean, we were supposed to be so happy together. And Ashley goes and takes it all away from us." 

"I'm sorry," Michelle heard behind her. She got up and turned around.  

"What are you doing here?" 

"Giving my love to the bride and groom." 

"Go away Ashley." 

"He's my friend too." 

"The one you stabbed!" 

"I didn't have a choice!" 

"Yeah right, Ashley," she said walking away. He grabbed her arm. 

"You don't think that I didn't want to do that?" 

"No, I think you were in it for the fun of it." 

"You really don't know me than, do you Elle?" 

"No, I don't. You never seem to be around me." 

"I promise, I'll make an effort to try." 

She walked away and went back home.

"Where have you been all night?" her stepsister Nisha Townsin said. 

"Graveyard." 

"You scare me sometimes. I mean, all this week, you've been up there." 

"I have a right to be. I was supposed to be married tonight." 

"You have to move on. It's been 2 months." 

"I love him, Nisha. You just don't understand that." 

Michelle stomped up to her room.

"Hello?" 

"Hey, is Nisha there?" Michelle heard a male voice say. 

"Yeah, hold on." 

She banged on her sister's door. "Phone." 

Nisha ran downstairs. Once she was done, she went to Michelle. 

"I'm leaving, I'll be back before morning." 

"Right." 

With that, Nisha left.

"Hello!? Erik...I don't like playing scary games, get out here now!" Nisha said as she walked to the back of an old abandoned house. Erik told her to meet him there, and that he had a surprise for her. It was cold and damp, and the floor creeked, as if she would fall through at any minute. "Erik! I'm not playing!" 

"Are you scared" a deep scratch voice said from somewhere. Nisha, looked around, her hands were shaking. 

"Yes I am, Erik stop playing!" she said, her voice catching, and she started to cry. Lights started to flicker, and Erik came up behind her, touching her neck. "AAhhh!!" she screamed, turning around. 

"Its ok baby...come here" he said pulling her towards him. He hugged her. 

"Why'd you do that!?" she said pushing his chest. 

"I was just seeing how you would react, I'm sorry babe" 

"Yeaa, you better be! Now lets get out of here" 

"You wanna go back to my place?" 

"Yeaa, sure" she whispered as they walked out of the old house 

~*~ 6 am ~*~ 

"Where have you been?" Michelle asked Nisha as she walked in, trying to be quiet. 

"I went to a party" 

"What the hell is that on your neck!?" 

"What's what!?" She said holding her neck 

"What's that!" Michelle said pulling her hand away, she gasped "Its a hickey! Who the hell gave you this!?" 

"None of your business" 

"I think it is my business, this is my house and your coming home early in the morning, and you worry me, yeah, we may not get along to well, but I still care 'bout you!" 

"I'm going to bed" 

"And that! You've become like, nocturnal! What's wrong with you?!" she yelled at her 

"Talk to me when I'll listen, and that's when your NOT yelling at me!" she said going to her room 

*Ding Dong* (the door bell rings) 

Michelle opens the door to find Ashley standing there. 

"What do you want?" 

"I came to make friends...is that ok?" 

"No, its not ok...just leave" 

"All right...but Nisha is in danger" 

"How do you know?" 

"I know a lot of stuff, somethings that you need to know also...but I'm gonna go" he said walking away 

"No! Wait...we can talk" he turned around and walked back to the house. 

"No...I'm gonna go...just keep your eye on her" 

"Yeaa, I will, come back sometime though" 

"Sure" he said leaving 

~*~ Later ~*~ 

"Nisha! I want to talk to you!" Michelle yelled coming in the house, she just got back from the grave yard. 

"What?" Nisha said coming in rubbing her eyes 

"Where you sleep?" 

"Yes" 

"Oh, ok, well...your not going out tonight" 

"Why aint I?" 

"Cause, me and you are going to eat" 

"What is this, a sister bonding dinner?" 

"Maybe it is" 

"Well, I already had plans tonight, and I cant break them" 

"Why cant you?" 

"Cause I promised I'd be there" 

"Be where?" 

"Somewhere...I'm going back to bed" 

"And when you wake up, get dressed, cause me and you are going out to eat" 

"I said I cant ok! Did you not hear me?" 

"I heard you, but your not going!" 

"You cant stop me!" 

"Your right, I cant...how bout you take me with you then" 

"No" 

"Why not?" 

"Cause I said so" 

"Right...have fun" Nisha rolled her eyes and went back to her room "I'll be there with you" Michelle said once she was gone

Michelle went to the graveyard, expecting Ashley to be there like he is almost every night. She really needed to talk to him. All of a sudden, someone grabbed her from behind, but she grabbed the person's arms and got him off of her. 

"Holy fuckin' shit, Ashley," she yelled. 

"Just saying hi." 

"You could have just said it." 

"I have to be different." 

"Obviously. So what were you going to tell me?" 

"Nothing important." 

"Bullshit." 

"OK, it's about your sister." 

"What about her?" 

"She's been hanging around some people." 

Michelle sat down, leaning on Trevor's gravestone. 

"People that I know you wouldn't like her being with." 

"People like you?" she asked as he sat down next to her. 

"Yeah." 

"Nothing weird, right?" 

"Well, actually..." 

"What?" 

"She's seeing this guy, Erik. He's a pretty good guy. But he's a vamp." 

Michelle sighed. "Is she in danger?" 

"Not anymore." 

"What's that supposed to mean?" 

"Let's just say this, when it comes to bites, he's a little more picky than I am." 

"Is my sister one of his selections?" 

"Maybe in time. He just bit one yesterday so he's good for another two days. But you may want to watch her." 

"Do you know if she knows?" 

"Oh she knows. I was watching them yesterday. She knows." 

"That's good." 

"I feel like I'm in an episode of Buffy here." 

"You should." 

"Should I be calling you Spike now?" she smiled. 

"Only if I can call you Buffy." 

She laughed. 

"You know what happened in the end though, right?" 

"No, I stopped watching after the musical episode." 

He leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "they had sex." 

"OK, you're not being Spike." 

He started kissing her neck. 

"Ashley, what are you doing?" 

"Nothing," he said getting up. 

"Where are you going?" 

"Home." 

She got up and walked behind him, "why?" 

"I told you all I know." 

"Ash," she said walking in front of him. 

"What?" 

"Um, I don't know." 

He looked into her eyes, searching for anything. And then leaned down and kissed her. "Sorry," he said walking away. 

Michelle walked back to Trevor's grave and sat down, speechless

Nisha walked into the kitchen.  

"Hey," she said. 

"Hi." 

"How was your night?" 

"Good. Yours?" 

"Good." 

"So, Ashley told me that you're seeing Erik behind my back." 

Nisha spit out her coffee. "He knows?" 

"Yes." 

"God damn it." 

"Well, I just want to warn you about vamps. They tend to go for younger ones. Oh, look, that's you. Just tellin' you," Michelle said walking into her room.

"You know...I've done some research on you" Erik whispered to Nisha as they sat on his couch, in his basement. 

"Ooh, really...what did you find out?" 

"I learned that your name means Night" 

"Yeaa....it does" 

"I think its kind of cool...its kind of like we fit together...I rule the night, your name means night...would you like to be the queen of the night?" he said kissing her neck softly 

"Umm...not really" She said pushing him away from her. She looked into his eyes and a dash of red sparkled in them. "Erik...I'm gonna go, I'm really tired tonight" 

"Why you so tired baby?" 

"You wear me out honey" she laughed lightly, getting up and walking towards the stairs. When she got to the front door Erik grabed her from behind. "Shit!" she screamed as he pushed her aginst the wall. "Erik, what are you doing, dont hurt me" she cried, he turned her around to face him. 

"I'd never hurt you" he said kissing her 

"Why do you always want to scare me now?"she asked still crying 

"I'm sorry...I guess its my nature you could say...can I tell you something?" 

"Sure" 

"I love you" he said, his eyes turning back to a beautiful dark brown. Nisha kissed him passiontaly 

"I love you too" she said, and he kissed her, trailing to her neck. "Erik...I was leaving remember" she said grabing his face, looking into his eyes, they were still brown. "What happened when we were down there, with your eyes?" 

"You were getting him hype for blood" Ashley said from behind them 

"Ashley! You told Michelle we were dating!" Nisha said getting in his face 

"Dont start missy...I was just watching your ass" he said smaking her on the ass. 

"Hey man, hands off!" Erik said pushing him 

"Chill man....I got you some blood, you wouldnt hurt the one you love now would you?" 

"No, I dont" he said winking at Nisha, she smiled at him 

"Well...I'll see you tomorrow night baby?" 

"Yea, sure will...are you walking home?" 

"Yeaa, I'm gonna take the short cut" 

"Baby, I'll just take you home...I dont want you going that way..." 

"Erik, you need your blood, you dont have time" Ashley broke in 

"I'll be fine, ok baby? I have my cell phone, if I need you, I'll call you" she said kissing him and walking out, going on the bad side of town. She was a ways down, when to motorcycles flew passed her. She screamed and they turned around towards her, comming back at her. She stood there in shock, and they stoped right in front of her. She looked at their red glowing eyes, and started to run towards Erik's house. They followed her. 

"Nisha!! Come on get in the car!" Michelle yelled, she was at the corner, and had the car door open for her. Nisha hoped in and they drove away "Are you ok!?" 

"Yes! I'm fine" she cried, out of breath from running 

"Since your alright, I dont want you seeing Erik any more, and what in the world possesd you to go on that side of town!?" 

"I wanted to get home faster!" 

"You should have called me, I would have came to get you" 

"I dont need your help and I will see Erik" 

"Looks like you needed my help and minute ago! And you wont see him" she yelled 

"Through one ear and out the other!" 

"Its only a matter of time before he bits you, and I dont want you to get it!" 

"Shut up and drive!"

"Ashley, I know you're here!!!" Michelle yelled in the graveyard the next day.  

"Yeah, so what if I am," he said sitting on a gravestone behind her. She turned around.  

"Thank you." 

"What I do this week?"  

"For saving my sister." 

"No problem," he said hopping off the stone. 

"Wait, I want to talk to you about yesterday." 

"What about it?" 

"Nisha said that when she saw vamps, their eyes were glowing red." 

"Yeah." 

"How come I've never seen you do it?" 

"I've never had the urge to bite you." 

"Why not?" she asked sitting on a grave. 

"I don't know." 

"Oh come on Ashley," she said smiling, "why not?" 

"I told you, I don't know." 

She rolled her eyes. She then took out her pocketknife. 

"What are you doing?" 

"A little test," she said. 

"You wouldn't." 

"I would, and I am." 

"Michelle..." 

"Nope, I want you to." 

She made a little slit in the thigh of her leg and looked at Ashley. His eyes had turned the red that Nisha was talking about. "Go ahead," she said. 

"I can't," he said shaking his head. 

"Why?" 

"I can't do that to you Michelle." 

"Damn it Ashley, why not?" 

"I love you, Michelle!" he said and as soon as it came out, he turned around and started walking away.  

"Ashley.." she said trying to catch up with him. 

"Leave me alone, Elle." 

"No," she said running in front of him. 

"Meech, I'm giving you three seconds to get out of my way." 

"Meech?" 

"One...." 

"You never call me Meech." 

"Two...." 

"Only Trevor called me Meech." 

He stopped and looked at her. "That's the last thing he said to me. He looked at me and said..." 

-----------flashback 

"Ashley, before you kill me, I need to tell you something," Trevor said looking at his friend. 

"What?" he lowered the knife. 

"Can you do me a favor?" 

"Yeah." 

"Look after Meech, all right? Make sure nothing happens to her." 

"I will." 

"And tell her that I love her." 

"All right." 

With that, Trevor closed his eyes as Ashley penetrated the knife into his chest.

"How come you never told me?" she said looking at him. 

"I couldn't." 

Michelle walked in the opposite direction as Ashley and went back home.

"Ok....I'm not that smart on this vampire knowledge, but from what you've told me, and from what I know...Ashley and Erik have souls, because they love us" Nisha told Michelle as they sat at the table 

"Thats right" 

"So...that means, they cant drink human blood?" 

"Not in all cases" 

"Oh...well, if I became a vampire, what would happen" 

"You'd be living a vampire life" 

"Well, I kinda am now, cause I'm dating one" 

"If you want to become a vampire, let Erik bite you...then bite him...but I know you wouldnt like it" 

"Why wouldnt I?" 

"Cause the beach is your favorite hang out, fun in the sun, vampires, plus sun, equals dead" 

"But I love him" 

"You love a death trap! If you don't break up with him, I can guarntee, he'll bite you!" 

"No he wont! I'm not gonna leave him" 

"Well, if you guys stay together, he's gonna want you forever, and that means you'll have to become one of him" 

"Well....He's busy tonight, so I guess I'm saved" 

"Whatever you do, dont have sex with him...and dont you EVER bring him in this house" 

"I know I know...you know...I had my cross on the other night, and he freaked...and I laughed at him, it was funny" 

"It wasent funny to him" 

"I know...so what do you think of Ashley?" 

"I still dont know him....I'm about to go see him, he's always at the grave yard, but he loves me, which I still cant believe" 

"Yeaa...but dont do a me!" 

"Why do you say that" 

"Dating a vampire is tricky!" 

"Now you realize this!"  

"Oh, I knew it was, but it gets hard when you make your boyfriend horny for blood!" Nisha said laughing, going to her room. Michelle laughed and left for the grave yard. 

~*~ At the grave yard ~*~ 

"Hi Ashley" Michelle said to him, he was leaning on a large tomb 

"Hey...I think you should leave" 

"I want to talk to you" 

"About what?" 

"About you...and why you couldnt tell me what Trevor said" Ashley looked at her, his blue eyes were sad 

"Because...I love you, and as far as me....I'm a vampire, you know that, I do what vampire's do" 

"But you have a soul" 

"Yeaa, I do, so what?" 

"Act like it then, and take me to eat" 

"You dont want me to take you to eat" he laughed 

"Why not? How bout we try the blood thing again" 

"No...not tonight, I'm meeting with some friends tonight, I'm not gonna bite you Meech" 

"Whatever Ashley" Michelle turned and began to walk away when she heard a scream. Two large vampires came running over to Ashley, they were draging a girl between them, and she was trying to fight them. 

"What the hell are you two doing!?" Ashley asked them in anger, Michelle turned around and seen Nisha between the two large men. 

"Well...Erik is tied up, at her house...we went with him when he went to give her a gift, and we seen her, and she was so hot, we had to take her, she'd make a great addition to our clan, wouldnt she!?" one of the said in one breath 

"No! Let her go!" 

"Why?" 

"She's Erik's, now let her go!" the two of them droped Nisha and she fell to the ground. Michelle came over and helped her up, she looked at Ashley in anger, but then her face softend when she seen his watery blue eyes. 

"Ash...call me tonight, you promise?" 

"Yeaa" Michelle walked Nisha to the car and drove home. 

~*~ Home ~*~ 

"Did they bite you?! Are you ok?" Erik asked as he hugged Nisha, once she got him untied. 

"No, they didnt I'm fine, but they were planing on it" 

"I'm so sorry, I bought you this ring, its a promise ring...I promise we'll marry one day...and I promise to never bite you...unless you want it" Nisha smiled at him, and kissed him 

"Ok, thank you, I love you" 

"I love you to...I'm gonna call it a Nisha....get it, Nisha, night" he laughed 

"Yeaa, I get it" she laughed 

"GoodNisha baby" he kissed her, and left.

Michelle looked out the window, watching the sunset. Her dyed black hair had her naturally blonde roots coming in. She thought that if she let herself be with Ashley, she would never be able to see another sunset. As soon as the sun was set completely, she turned off her Linkin Park CD and grabbed her black cape. She needed something to do while she waiting for Ashley, so she grabbed her black nail polish so she could redo her nails.  

"Hey, you leaving already?" Nisha said as Michelle was walking downstairs.  

"Yeah. I have to talk to him." 

"I think it's becoming 'need to talk to him,' not have to." 

"It might be." 

"You're becoming obsessed." 

"No, I'm not." 

"Ha! Yes, you are. He's taking the place of Trevor." 

She looked for her keys. "No one can take the place of him. Ashley will never be Trevor." 

"He might not be Trevor, but you're starting to care for Ashley, I know it." 

Michelle opened the door and looked out. Completely pitch black. "So what if I am?" 

Nisha just smiled as Michelle closed the door behind her.

"Don't want your hand this time, I'll save myself. Maybe I'll wake up or won't." Michelle recited Evanescence's "Going Under," while painting her nails on the grave next to Trevor's. "I died again. I'm going under, drowning you. I'm falling forever, I've got to break through. So go on and scream. Scream at me, I'm so far away." 

"Why are you singing that?" Ashley said breathing on her neck. He was so close to her, she could feel his chest against her back. 

"I'm not singing." 

"OK, saying." 

"Because this place always reminds me of that song."  

"It reminds me of the whole CD." 

"I guess," she said closing up the bottle.  

"You want to try that blood trick again, don't you?" 

She smiled, "yes." 

"OK, but not here. I don't want Trevor's spirit to see it." He grabbed her hand and they walked out of the cemetery. 

"Where are we going then?" 

"You'll see." 

He lead her to what looked like, from the outside, an abandoned house.  

"You'll get to see how I live." 

"This is your house?" 

"Sort of," he said opening the door. There were no lights, just candles, everywhere. He lead her up the stairs and down a hallway. He opened the door. "This is it." There was a bed centered in the middle with steal beams coming from the corners, connecting at the top, forming what looked like a box. There were a couple pieces of furniture, but it looked almost plain. The only light in his room was the moonlight shining through his one window. 

"This is your room?" 

"Yeah." 

"It's a little bear, huh?" 

"Who do I have to impress?" 

"No one, I guess." 

He walked up to her and touched her lips with his fingertip. He leaned down and kissed her. "Are you sure you want to try this?" 

"Yes." 

He then kissed her again. "I'm sorry," he said in between kisses. He then started kissing her neck. All of a sudden, he bit her. She screamed in pain, but he kissed her again to calm her. He then began to slowly lick the blood completely off of her neck.  

"Don't kill me," she said moaning. 

"I would never kill you." He leaned her back on the bed and kissed her again.  

"Ashley? You here?" they heard from downstairs. He stopped and rested his head on her chest.  

"Yeah," he yelled back. 

"Come down here!" Erik yelled.  

"Hold on." He turned to Michelle, "I'm sorry." 

"It's OK. This was fun," she smiled weakly. 

"You're one of a kind, Meech." 

"I know."  

He grabbed her hand and then went downstairs to see Erik and Nisha.

"I bit her...I was kissing her...and and I bit her" Erik stammered as Nisha stood there in a daze. Michelle was leaning on Ashley looking at Erik with anger in her eyes. 

"If I could right now, I'd kick your ass!" she spat 

"You bit her Ash?" Erik asked 

"Yeaa, I did...she wanted it" he said smiling at her, she smiled back. 

"I wanna be your queen of the night" Nisha suddenly whispered to Erik, she pushed him aginst the wall and bit him heavely on the neck. He winced in pain but didnt scream, he then smiled and lifted her face to his. 

"I love you Nisha, and now we'll be together forever" he said kissing her bloody lips. Ashley and Michelle looked at them in shock. 

"Ashley...what do you think Trevor will think of me, if I become one of you?" 

"Trevor cant do anything about it" 

"I dont know, maybe I should leave Ashley...my sister..." 

"She's safe with him, and I'll watch over her also...but if you joined us, you can be with her too" 

"Isnt there a downside to being a vamp?" 

"Yeaa, we cant be in the sun...we'll die if we dont get blood when needed....we are dead, our finger nails grow really fast...there's clans of us, and we are considered...how should I say this...good vampires" he laughed 

"Who's we?" 

"Well...Erik and I are part of a clan...there is Dan and Jacob, they live around here...we do good..." 

"How do you, do good?" 

"Well, we mostly feed on animal blood, leaving mortals to live" 

"And who are the bad clan" 

"Well...they would be Justin, Nick, Jc, Drew, and Vin" 

"And how are they bad?" 

"Well, they kill us, kill mortals, and try to change and take our women" 

"So its not in your blood that your good, its what you choose to do?" 

"Yep, thats right, just like with mortals" 

"So the other clan aint evil?" 

"Naw, they have souls too, thats why they get our girls, thats the only reason they do" 

"Wow...I think I'm gonna take after my sister for a change...but not yet" 

"Well...you got until tomorrow night, or I have to bite you again for it to work" 

"Ok...I'm gonna go, Nisha" 

"Yeaa" she said breaking her kiss with Erik 

"I'm leaving, are you comming?" 

"I cant...my room, is not, vampire proof" she laughed 

"Well...I'll vampire proof it, and you'll come home tomorrow night ok?" 

"Yeaa, sis...bye" 

"Bye" Michelle kissed Ashley good bye and left for home. 

"Look at her...she's hott..." Justin said from behind his binoculars, he and Nick were watching Erik and Nisha from the corner. 

"Her name is Nisha" 

"Nisha means night" Vin broke in, he came walking behind them 

"We got ourselfs a leader, Queen of the night...Nisha, Oh so sexy" Nick said 

"Well, its only a matter of time before Erik losses his love, oh well" The three men laughed and walked back to their house, not to far away.

Michelle rubbed her eyes. The sun was coming up. She had to go to work.  

"What's up, Chelle, where you been?" Cynthia, one of her coworkers said.  

"Family emergency," she said putting on her apron and getting ready to serve coffee to the business people and students she served everyday. 

"What was it this time?" 

"My sister. She got in an accident and lost a lot of blood." 

"Oh. Well, Glen was looking for you." 

"Oh, why?" 

"Promotion time is around the corner." 

Michelle smiled. She didn't know what she would buy with the extra money. Lord knows she doesn't have to buy much food anymore. She's only feeding herself now. 

"Ah, Michelle, there you are," Glen said walking in. 

"Yes, sir." 

"Can you come with me?" 

"Sure." She handed the coffee pot to Cynthia and followed her boss. 

"Yes, sir?" 

"Where were you earlier this morning?" 

"Family emergency, sir. My sister was in an accident." 

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." 

"Yes, sir." 

"Well, next time, can you call me and tell me?" 

"Yes, sir." 

"OK, down to business. I just want to let you know that you got a promotion." 

"Oh, thank you, sir." 

"You're welcome. Now, get out there and serve those people." 

She smiled. When she opened the door, she was greeted with the sun's warm rays. She then settled down and got to work.

Once she got home, Michelle went to the garage to get pieces of wood to cover Nisha's windows. She walked slowly up the stairs, thinking of how her step father would have never wanted Nisha to turn into what she had become.  

She finally reached Nisha's room. She opened the door and peered in. The bed was made like no one had ever slept in it. She looked at the two windows. The high-noon sun was shining through. She now had to cover the windows. Michelle put down the wood pieces, except for one, which she drove a nail through.  

At that point, she shed a tear. Once Michelle got the wood piece on on both sides, she fell on Nisha's bed and started crying. She knew at that point she couldn't become one of them.

That night, she waited on Trevor's gravestone for Ashley, like she did every night. Suddenly, she felt someone move her hair to the back, exposing her neck.  

"Hi Ashley," she said as he began kissing her neck. 

"How was your, dare I say it, day?" 

"Fine. I had a lot of thinking to do." 

"Have you decided?" 

Michelle sighed. "Yes." 

"And?" 

She turned around and looked into his glassy blue eyes. Her eyes were becoming water. "I can't." 

"Why?" he asked sadly. 

Michelle looked away. "I couldn't go through it. I mean, today, I woke up and saw how beautiful the sun was. It took me hours to nail Nisha's windows shut because I kept tearing up, knowing that she could never see what I see again," she bit her lip, "and I really don't want to be 21 forever, Ashley," she burst out in tears.  

He put his arms around her, holding her. "I know how you feel. I didn't have a choice. I was forced to be this way. And I hardly remember what it's like to look outside and see the sun shining. I don't blame you for not wanting to be one of us," he said putting her hair behind her ears. "I'd give anything to be mortal again." 

Michelle reached up and kissed him. Once she ended it, she walked back to her home.

~*~ Night ~*~ 

"What have I done?" Nisha asked Michelle 

"You've become a vamp, why?"

"Umm, sure" she said as she seen Erik and Nisha making out. 

"Erik its hard to make out with these damn fangs!"

As soon as he closed the door, Michelle jumped on Ashley and kissed him. 

"Whoa, where'd that come from?" he asked holding her. 

"Just felt like doing that," she smiled. He went to the bed and laid her down. 

"So how are you?" 

"Great. Never felt better," she said. 

"Liar," he smiled. 

"No, really. I feel great! My life is good." 

"You know what would make it better?" 

"Huh?" 

He whispered in her ear, "if I could share it with you." 

She frowned. "It would be better." 

"I finally found out a way to get me mortal again." 

"Really?" she smiled. 

"Don't smile yet though. It's dangerous." 

"It is?" 

"Yeah. But I love you so much, I would die for you." 

"What are you talking about? I would rather have you alive than not at all." 

"Michelle, technically, I'm already dead! What do I have to lose if I completely die?" 

"Me!" she screamed back. 

"Meech, with or without you, I am going to try to become mortal again. If I don't have your approval, I am still going to do it." 

"Fine," she said getting up, "die. See if I care! It will just be another dead boyfriend! I'll add to my collection!" she slammed the door and downstairs and through the door, right past Erik and Nisha. 

At this sight, Nisha ran up to Ashley's room. 

"Ashley, what the hell did you do?" 

"I think I lost her over mortality."

"Hey Hot stuff" A deep voice said from behind Nisha, she was a block away from Erik's house. She turned around slowly to see a tall, built, bald guy staring at her. 

"Don't start with me you ass wipe" she said and started to walk away, he then appeared in front of her. 

"Such a beautiful girl, with an ugly mouth" he said bringing his face closer to hers. She then hissed showing her fangs. He then growled showing his. 

"What do you want?" 

"I want you beautiful" 

"Well, sorry I'm taken" she said turning around, he grabbed her arm forcefully. 

"Well, I'm sure he wont miss you for one night" 

"Yes he will, let go of me!" She screamed, fighting his grip. From no where someone picked up her legs and they put her in the trunk of a car, and drove away. 

"Mission complete, now we just gotta get her to think like us" Justin told Vin

"I Love you Ashley" Michelle told him, as they laid in her bed together 

"I love you too....I get to see the sun in the morning" he smiled 

"Yeaa, and you get to see it with me" she said kissing him 

"I'm so happy...when you have a day off, can we go to the beach....I need to get a job!" 

"Yeaa, you can have a real life again" she laughed 

"I'm not going back there ever again...I mean, I'll miss my friends, and if I talk to them it will be on the phone...but I'm never going to be a vamp again" 

"Good, I like that idea...what do you think Trevor would say about us?" 

"Well...seeing that Trevor is gone, I think he's OK with it...he would want the best for you, and for you to be happy"

"Justin was planing to get him, I overheard his plans, and I got Trevor out of the trap before it happened"

"Brainwash her, lucky she's already a vamp...but we gotta find her soon, and if she doesn't do what they say...they'll kill her" 

"Oh gosh, Erik...Ashley says Justin has her" 

"I figured...I'm heading over there now...there's one problem though"

"I'm mortal...I was gonna surprise her tonight" he said crying 

"Aww, it'll be OK...we'll figure something out, stay there till we get there"

"Hey sweetie...you gotta follow our rules, or one things for sure, you will die" he said kissing her, she was bond and gagged, in their basement. 

"First rule, don't break our rules" Jc said 

"Second rule, don't resist us" Nick said 

"Third rule, don't try to get out" Drew said 

"Right now, we have somewhere to be...Vin will be guarding, and I don't think you want to go against him" Justin told her, as the four of them left, and Vin sat on the steps.

"Well, Nisha's in trouble. Must be Tuesday," Michelle said rubbing up against Ashley's chest. 

"It's OK. She'll be fine until tomorrow. Just get her out tomorrow morning." 

"Yeah, since they are vampires." 

Michelle looked over at the clock. 5:34. The sun was going to come up soon. 

"Come on, it's almost time." 

She grabbed the sheet off of the bed and threw Ashley the one that was on the floor. She walked out on the balcony of her room just as the sun started coming up. Ashley walked out a few minutes later. 

"It's beautiful." 

"I know, I see this everyday." 

"I meant you in the sunlight." 

Michelle smiled. 

"I haven't seen this in forever. I'm glad it's with you," he said. 

"I love you." 

"I love you too." 

"Now come on, I have to get ready for work." 

"Aw, do you have to go?" he said as she walked inside. 

"Yes. I already took a day off because I didn't feel like going." 

"Come on," Ashley said kissing her neck, "stay here, with me." 

"I wish I could, but I'll be back at noon." 

"That's too long." She laughed. 

"What day is it?" 

"Uh," she looked at her calendar, "August first." 

"No way!" 

"Yeah, why?" 

"Today, since I'm a mortal again, I'm 22." 

"No way!" 

He laughed. 

"Well, when I come back, after we quote 'save' Nisha, we can go celebrate," she smiled.

After Michelle came back from work, she went home to get Ashley. They had to go get Erik to help them. They were going to stake out until dusk. 

Finally, the sun was setting. Michelle went in first, to the protests of Ashley. The door was open. There was still a little sunlight shining through the windows. 

She went up the stairs and looked though the rooms. She kicked one of them in. Sure enough, there was Nisha, tied up to a bed. She untied her. 

"Michelle, I am so sorry, I was coming...." 

"Stop, wait until we get home." 

"Chelle, look..." Justin was behind her. Michelle put a stake in his heart. 

"Lucky he is vamp!" 

"Yeah." 

"Come on, we need to go." 

They were met on the stairs by Vin. She kicked him with the spike on her boots and killed him. 

"This is almost too easy for you," Nisha laughed. 

"Tell me that when we are out." 

Ashley and Erik were waiting at the bottom of the stairs. 

"Let's get out of here," Erik said grabbing Nisha.

"Nisha....I'm mortal" Erik said looking into her eyes 

"WHAT! I thought you didn't want to risk anything!?" 

"I didn't, then I thought about it, and I wanna see the sun with you...and feed you garlic mashed potato's, and lay with you on the beach, I want to let the sunshine in!" he said with excitement 

"Well....just hope that I don't die from the saonce" she said sadly 

"You wont die baby, I know you wont, its fast and easy...and I'll stay in the dark with you until you mortal" he said kissing her 

"Thank you" 

"Lets go do it now!" Erik said running away with her 

"Meech....I'm sleep!" Ashley said yawning 

"Aww, poor thing! Getting used to the mortal life!" 

"Yeaa, can we go home?" 

"Sure, lets go, I hope Nisha makes it through the saonce" 

"She should...I mean, me and Erik did...I think over the years they have gotten so much better and less vamps are dying" he laughed 

"Well...if I see her in the morning, I'll have a big relief!"

"Good Morning!" Nisha said as Erik joined her on the porch, they watch the sunrise. 

"Wow, that's amazing...I thought I'd never see this again, till I met you...you are the sunshine of my life....I love you"

"Yeaa, I'd like that" 

"Then for dinner we can have garlic mashed potato's!!" 

"Yeaa! I'm so happy! I say...we get jobs, make money, and get a house together!" 

"You gotta learn to live again baby...it wont be easy, for now you can live with me, I have a car, we'll go looking for jobs...Oh! We gotta get back so Chelle wont worry!"

"Chelle, I'm MORTAL!! And home!" Nisha screamed coming in the bright house 

"Yay! Thank God!" she said hugging her 

"I want to go out to dinner, and have garlic mashed potato's!" 

"Ok, we can do that, in the mean time, I have to go to work...and you can show the guys around, and get yourselves some jobs!" she said picking up her purse 

"Do you have to go?" Ashley said holding her hand 

"Yeaa, I do baby, I'll be back..." She said as they kissed 

"Ok, I'll miss you" and she left 

"Ok boy, since you had a mortal life before, I'm just gonna refresh your memory, welcome to...'Mortal life 101'" they laughed 

"Ok, well...we know what to do, we just gotta go and get a job!" Ashley said

"Hello? Anyone home?" Michelle said walking in 

"I'm here...Erik and Nisha went out to dinner, for garlic mashed potato's" he laughed 

"Aww, how was your day?" 

"Great, we all got jobs!"

"Well, first we had to go and get license and stuff, and I am a waiter! So is Erik, while Nisha works at the mall" 

"Aww, you let her get a job at the mall! She's never gonna make money!" 

"We couldn't stop her" he laughed 

"Ashley....I was followed today" 

"By who?" 

"I don't know, this guy dressed in all black...but what scared me was....he looked like Trevor" she said crying 

"Well...maybe its his angel...we both know it cant be him" 

"I haven't gone to his grave in a long time....I think I'm gonna go now" she said walking out the door

She laughed, "well then I've been really stupid by talking to a gravestone this whole time." 

"No you haven't. I've heard you every time." 

"Why didn't you tell me?" 

"I knew you would freak out." 

"Then how.....what....huh?" 

He laughed, "I know you don't understand. It's OK. I wouldn't either." 

"I just don't get it. I mean, Ashley told me up to the minute things about your death." 

"I told him to say that." 

She sat down of the grass. "This is hard for me to believe." 

"I know." 

She looked into his eyes. "I love you." 

"I love you too. Oh yeah," he said digging in one of his pockets.

"I have something that belongs to you," he said holding the engagement ring from when she gave it to him at the funeral. 

She gasped. "I forgot about that!"

"Oh my god. I totally forgot. Trevor, I have to tell you about my life."

"Ashley and I are, well, going out."

"I'm not that stupid," he smiled.

"Tell me about it," Michelle said walking into her room. She saw Ashley, asleep.

"I have no clue...I dont understand why they did this in the first place" 

"Maybe they were trying to protect you or show you something" 

"I dont know...but now that Trevor's not dead, I dont know what to do"

"Fine, I talked to Nisha and Erik, they had their first fight, and I helped em out, then I talked to Ashley for a while"

"Ok, thats fine, I guess we have alot of explaining to do"

"Honey, I'm home!" Ashley screamed, kissing Michelle, then looking to Trevor "Oh, hey"

"Well, to start off, we are sorry" Trevor said "I'm especially sorry, because I hated to see you hurt" 

"It was all in an act of love, and for your safty" Ashley said 

"See, when he was a vampire, his 'Master' told him to make me on of them, or not to assciate when me, but we were to good of friend, and he told him no" Trevor said 

"Yeaa, so my master told me, kill him, or bring me his woman" 

"Wait, you have a master!?" 

"Yeaa, well....had, he was killed by sun light" he laughed 

"Anyways....We decided to act it, and it had to be real or it wouldnt fly" 

"Yeaa, so thats what happened, if I had of brought you to the master he would have made you his slave, and we didnt want that" 

"Well, thank you guys....but what are we gonna do about us?" 

"Well...I can give you back to Trevor, cause I know he means alot to you" 

"But I want you to be happy Michelle, and we will love you no matter what you decide"

Ashley walked up to his and Michelle's room. He knocked lightly before going in.  

"Ashley, can you sleep downstairs tonight?" Michelle said, sounding like she was crying. 

"Baby, what's wrong?" 

"You want to know? You. You're what's wrong." 

"What? Why, Meech?" he said sitting next to her on the bed. 

"Because if I hadn't fallen in love with you, this decision would have been so much easier." 

He kissed her, "I love you Michelle. And I love you enough to tell you that if you go back to Trevor, I will be OK." 

She looked down. "No, Ashley. I don't wanna leave you. Since Trevor, you're the only person who's ever understood me. You know more about me then I ever will." She looked in his eyes, "I think I'm ready to move on from Trevor." 

"Are you serious?" Ashley asked smiling. 

She nodded. 

"Thank you Meech. I love you."

He grabbed his pillow and started walking to the door. 

"Where are you going?" Michelle asked. 

"You told me to sleep downstairs." 

She rolled her eyes, "get over here, you dork." 

Ashley kissed her, this time with more meaning. He leaned her back on the bed. Michelle took off his shirt and he did the same to her. "Are you sure?" he asked out of breath. 

"I've never been more sure of anything," she said reaching up and turning out the light.

Nisha cringed, hearing the moans coming from her stepsister's bedroom. "Well, I guess we know who she picked," she said looking at Erik. 

"I guess so," he replied. 

"I wonder if she made the right choice though. I mean, she's loved Trevor forever and even when she was with Ashley, she still thought about Trevor." 

"Yeah, but Ashley loves her so much. He even became mortal just to be with her." 

"I know, but still, I remember when she was going to the graveyard one night and she said 'No one can take the place of Trevor. Ashley will never be Trevor.'" 

"Maybe that's changed." 

"I know one thing that won't change."

"That I love you," she said kissing him.

The next morning, Michelle woke up to the sun shining through her curtains. She smiled and turned in Ashley's arms, watching him sleep. A few minutes later, he woke up.

"How long have you been up?" 

"A couple minutes."

"For what, last night?" she laughed. 

"That, and for giving me a chance."

Ashley moved a piece of hair out of her face. "You are so beautiful. I don't know how I could have made you a vampire and not kick myself later." 

She smiled. 

"Don't you have to get to work?" 

"Ash?" 

"Yeah?" 

"It's Sunday." 

"Oh yeah. So that means we can do more of this," he said kissing her, "and this," as he moved down to her neck.

"What? OH! I dont know...I'll tell him gentally" she yawned 

"Do I need to move out?"

"Cause I don't wanna hear you and Ashley having sex!"she said getting a little loud 

"Well sorry! Why dont you move in with Erik!?" 

"Cause he can't live in the house he used to live in!"

"Cause, other vampires lived with him, and they'll take him back, so he is living here until we put some money together to get an apartment" 

"Oh, ok, well, good luck!" 

"Thanks, what are you doing today?" 

"Telling Trevor...and maybe going out to eat" 

"Well, good luck, Erik and I are spending the day at the beach...he says he wantz a tan" she laughed

"I know, but I tan easy, and when you in the sun, you just can help it....I'm gonna soak up the!"

"He wants to make love on the beach!"

"Trevor...from the time of your death, and when we met again, we've grown apart...I still love you, but I need to move on...I mean, I thought you were dead...but your not, a part of me went with you when you died, and its still dead. I'm sorry, but I choose Ashley, but I will never stop loving you, ok?" 

"Ok, thats fine...as long as your happy" 

"Thank you for understanding" she said hugging him 

"Your welcome...so does this mean, I'm out of your life?" 

"No, we can be friends! I wouldnt want to lose you completly, like I thought I did" she smiled at him 

"Ok, well, I guess I should be going, I gotta get my life going again"

"Michelle!" Nisha screamed running in, she was out of breath, and had blood running down her neck. 

"Oh Gosh, Nisha, what happened!?" Michelle said jumping to her aid 

"Well, me and Erik were getting dressed when this group of guys came behind us, we tryed to get away, but they held us down, they were vamps Chelle, they started to bit us, then the gaurd came, and they ran off...Erik was taken to the hospital, I dont know if he'll make it" she said breaking down into tear. 

"N, your still bleeding, why didnt you have them check you at the hospital?" Ashley asked 

"I was so scared, I paniced, I ran all the way here, I dont know what to do" 

"Well, lets get you back to the hosptial" They took her to the hospital, and sat in the waiting room, to know how she and Erik were doing.

"Are any of you family of Erik Estrada?" the doctor said coming out. 

"I'm his sister," Michelle said. 

The doctor looked at her suspiciously.  

"I'm adopted!" 

"All right then. It looks like he's lost a lot of blood in his vein that is near his throat. He is going to make it, but it will take a while. You can see him now, but he is asleep." 

"Thank you doctor." 

Ashley and Michelle went in to see him and closed the door. 

"Ashley, he's gone!" Michelle said as she looked at the empty bed. 

"Are you really surprised? Nisha is probably gone too. It's almost dawn." 

"Do you think...?" 

"Most definitely. It was probably JC, or Drew." 

They walked out of the room and snuck past the doctor.  

"So, they have to change back again?" 

"Well..." Ashley said starting up the car. 

"What?" 

"They can't necessarily do that." 

"Why not?!" 

"It's the rules. You can only change back to mortal once." 

"You mean Nisha and Erik are gonna be vamps forever?" 

"Sorta....well....yeah." 

"What aren't you telling me?" 

"Nothing." 

"Ashley Angel!" 

"Alright. The ceremony can only be done once. But what I'm not telling you is that whoever bites you after the ceremony has been done, you must join the biters clan." 

"What? You mean they are going back on the wrong side?" 

"Yes." 

Michelle looked down into her lap.  

"But hey, don't worry about it, babe." 

"How in the world can I not?" 

Ashley kept his eyes on the road as they sat in silence the rest of the way home. When they pulled up to the driveway, Michelle just stayed in the car. 

"Babe, you OK?" 

"Ashley, I can't take this." 

He got back into the car and shut the door. 

"It feels like I'm losing everyone again. Trevor, Nisha, Erik. They are all almost dying." 

"That's not true. Trevor, you can see him whenever you want. Nisha and Erik, you can see them at night, but you can still see them." 

"Ashley, you don't understand! I'm losing everyone." 

"You still have me." 

"No, I don't. You're gonna leave me too." 

She got out of the car and slammed the door running down the street, giving herself a headstart over Ashley. The rain began to fall. 

Once he caught up with her, he grabbed her and made her face him. 

"Michelle, you're not going to lose me. I'm not going to leave you Meech. I love you." 

"No you don't." 

"Come on, Meech. Let's go home."

"Erik....I'm a vampire again, I dont want to be a vampire again, we were just having fun" Nisha said crying.  

"Its ok baby, I'm sorry, I was having fun too, just sleep"  

"But what about Jc....is he going to find us?"  

"I dont know honey, but we are with them now, we cant get out, unless we kill off their whole clan" "Impossible"  

"You never know baby, you never know"  

~*~ The morning ~*~ 

"Ashley wake up!" Michelle screamed at him, he rolled off the bed and droping to the floor.  

"What is it?" he groaned  

"Are you ok?" She asked helping him up  

"Yeaa, I'll be alright"  

"I'm going out, I'll be back later tonight, I want to go with you when you go and talk to Erik and Nisha"  

"Wait, where are you going? And I dont think you should come with me tonight, not right away, the clan is following them, I dont want anything to happen to you"  

"Dont worry about where I'm going and dont worry about me tonight, I can handle myself"  

"Yeaa, alright, I'll see you tonight" he said kissing her  

"I love you"  

"I love you too"  

~*~ Starbucks ~*~  

"Hey, glad to see you made it" Trevor said as Michelle sat down in front of him  

"Yeaa, I didnt tell Ashley I was meeting you"  

"Oh...ok, well, whats going on?"  

"Nisha and Erik are vampires again....and they are on the wrong side....I'm losing everyone Trev" 

"No, no, Meech, your not losing anyone, you got me...you got Ashley...we can get Nisha and Erik out of this....but it will take a lot"  

"What do you mean?"  

"Erik and Nisha would have to kill off the clan that bit them"  

"Well, I already did away with some of them"  

"Yeaa, but I'm sure they have replaced them already...if there was only a way to change them back again"  

"I know, this sucks"  

"Is everything ok between you and Ashley?"  

"Yeaa, I guess, we kinda had a rough one last night"  

"Ooh, would you like to meet again tomorrow?"  

"Sure, tonight Ashley and I are going to talk to Erik and Nisha"  

"Ooh, ok, good luck"  

"Thanks, I'll see you here tomorrow?"  

"Yeaa, meet me here, bye sweety"  

"Bye babe" Michelle left the place, feeling good

"Shit! Erik! whats gotten into you!?" Nisha screamed hitting him, he was holding her on the bed kissing her  

"I'm just loving on you baby"  

"Your lovin too hard! Get off!"  

"He's doing what he's been told to do" a voice said from the door, Nisha looked up to see Jc and Drew standing there.  

"And what might that be...ouch!"  

"To bring us a lil demon vamp into the world"  

"How can we bring a life into the world when we are dead?"  

"Cause, we are more then dead..."  

"NO, I'm not having a baby!" Nisha screamed pulling Erik's head up to meet his eyes with hers, they were burning red. "Erik, dont do this, I love you...your not suppose to turn on me" his eyes imeditally turn back to brown  

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry"  

"Its alright, just get off" she said pushing him up and walking up to Jc. "I'm not going out like this" 

"Whats that suppose to mean"  

"It means I'm not living forever" Nisha said walking outside, and sitting on the pourch. Erik greeted her moments after. Ashley and Michelle arrive.  

"How's it going Erik?" Ashley asked him, while Michelle huged Nisha who was crying.  

"Not good...They are getting to me"  

"Have you done anything yet"  

"I almost forced myself on Nisha, then she told me she loved me, and I stoped"  

"Thats whats gonna save you two, love...cause these guys have no love in their hearts, they only fool you"  

"Yeaa, I hope...I dont think you two should be here long though"  

"Oh we wont, we are leaving in a minute, and dont worry, we are working out a plan"  

"Chelle, he scared me, his eyes were red, I didnt know what to do, but tell him I loved him, and then he stoped"  

"Its ok N, hes not gonna hurt you, you just watch your back with the other guys, Ashley and I are comming up with a plan, everything will be fine"  

"I dont want this again Chelle, I want to mortal, thats all I want, for Erik and I to be mortal again, I'm sorry for bring you so much trouble"  

"Its ok N, dont worry about, I'm gonna get you outta this some way or another, ok?"  

"Ok, I think you guys should go, I hear someone comming"  

"Lets go Meech, Jc is comming" Ashley said grabing her hand and running away with her.  

"Who the hell were you two talking to?"  

"Some people that passed" Eirk answered  

"Were they mortals?" Jc asked pulling Nisha's hair  

"Let go of her, and yes they were mortals"  

"Why didnt you BITE them?" Jc screamed letting her go, throwing her into Erik.  

"Cause there was no need!"  

"Just watch out, you two are asking for it" Jc said walking back into the house  

"Lets go to bed baby" Nisha said as they walked into the house.

Michelle woke up and looked at the clock. 9:34. She sighed, knowing she had to leave. She grabbed the white blanket and wrapped it around her naked body, leaving Ashley asleep with the other one. 

"Meech?" Ashley said waking up. 

"Morning." 

"Where you headed?" 

"The living room." 

"Why? Come here." 

"I had a bad dream," she said sitting next to him. 

"Oh really?" 

"Killer Umpa Lumpas." 

He smiled. "You don't have to worry about that now." 

"Good, because those were a little freaky." 

He sat up and ran his fingers through her hair. "You know what I think." 

"What?" 

"You should let your blonde hair grow out." 

"Why?!" 

"You're so beautiful and the blonde would make you even more so." 

She looked at the clock, "I gotta go." 

"Where are you going?" 

"Somewhere," she said walking down to the laundry room. 

"Michelle, where?" he asked once she came back up. 

"Why does it matter?" 

"Meech..." 

"Ashley." 

He grabbed the back of her head and kissed her forcefully. 

"What was that for?" 

"Nothing. I'll talk to you tonight," he said going back into the bedroom, leaving Michelle confused.

Michelle walked into the house as the door creaked open. She slowly made her way up the stairs, not wanting to wake anyone who might still be there. Opening the door, she looked inside. It looked almost disturbed. It was so dark, she lit a candle, not wanting to open the shade. She opened the cabinet door to reveal everything she was looking for. 

"Hey," Michelle heard behind her. She turned. "What are you doing?" 

"Nothing. Ashley wanted me to get some stuff." 

"Oh, so you're Michelle." 

"Uh, yeah." 

"Well, in that case, I'm Dan." 

"You are in the clan Ashley was in, aren't you?" 

"Yeah. So I guess he's told you about us?" 

"Yes. A long time ago." 

"Judging from what you are getting, are you guys in trouble?" 

"Not us, but Erik." 

"What's wrong with him?" 

"It's a long story, so let's just say he's a vampire on the wrong side of the state line." 

"Justin has him?" 

"Well, no. Justin's dead. But yeah, that clan." 

"Why didn't you say something earlier?" 

"When would I have?" she laughed. 

"Do you guys have a plan?" 

"As of right now the only plan is kick some butt." 

"OK, listen. Tell Ashley to meet us here tonight. We'll talk about it." 

"All right," she said walking out.

By the time she got even close to home, it was sunset. She had to walk through the graveyard to get back home. 

"Hey," Trevor said as she walked by, sitting on his gravestone. 

"Sorry I didn't come. I got a little held up." 

"Oh?" 

"Yeah. Official vampire/slayer-wannabe business." 

"I see. Well, how is everything?" 

"From yesterday? Well, Ashley just confused the life out of me this morning, Nisha and Erik are still vampires and I met Dan. He's interesting." 

"How'd Ashley confuse you?" 

"One minute, he was telling me what to do with my hair, the next we are in a fight, and then he kissed me." 

"I never thought I would say it, but that's weirder than us." 

"Yeah, we were all Billy Bob Angelina in our relationship," she laughed. 

"I miss you," he said hopping down off of the gravestone. 

"I miss you too." 

He looked down into her eyes. There looked to be a fire in her eyes that never happens when she is talking about Ashley. Only when she is close to him. He bend down and kissed her. Michelle wrapped her arms around his shoulders to deepen it.  

"This is wrong," she said. Trevor placed her on the gravestone. 

"Who cares?" he said kissing her again. 

"We shouldn't be doing this," Michelle moaned as he kissed down her neck. 

"Michelle?" 

"Hmm?" 

"Come with me. Back to my house." 

She looked at the ground and bit her lip. Then she looked back up at him. 

"OK."

They drove for a while before they got the Trevor's house. Once there, he took her into the house, it was bright, something she was not used to at that time of night.  

"Wow...Trevor, this house is beautiful..." Michelle said in disbelief  

"Yea...I bought it for us...but we never got to it"  

"Aww, Trevor I love you so much, and I miss you so much, and I'm so confused about things, just kiss me and make it better" she said smiling at him, he smiled back and kissed her. He took her up to the master bed room, where there was a fire place lit. He laid her on the bed, when her cell phone went off.  

"Umm, you gonna get that?" Trevor laughed  

"UGH, I guess" she answered the phone "Hello?"  

"Where are you Meech?" Ashley asked on the other line "Dan called me and told me about a plan, and your supposed to be here!"  

"Oh crap! Umm, I'm out of town Ashley"  

"What? Out of town? Where are you Meech, we need your help"  

"Look, I'll be there as soon as I can"  

"OK, love you bye"  

"Yea, uh, bye" she hung up the phone and looked at Trevor.  

"What's up?"  

"I gotta go and kick some vampire ass...but I'm to horny right now" she giggled, he laughed and kissed her.  

"Well...You can come back, sometime" he said pulling her up from the bed.  

"I think I will...thanks for having me over...can you take me back?"  

"Yea, lets go"  

~*~ At the house ~*~  

Ashley, Dan, and Jacob were standing outside the house. There was screaming inside, someone was hurting Nisha. Ashley had a bag of goodies for these vampires. But needed Michelle there to help.  

"Should we go in first, and see what we can do?" Dan asked  

"Yea...I think you should, be careful"  

"You too, watch your back out here"  

"I will" Dan and Jacob went into the house, going towards the screams. They came to the door where she was screaming and found Erik at the door, he was knocked out. And the door was locked.  

"MOVE!" They heard a loud female voice from behind. It was Michelle with Ashley and they had a metal pole running into the door with it. They blew the door open and the guys jumped, dropping Nisha to the floor. Immediately Ashley and Michelle took action. Ashley choking Jc with a string of garlic, and Michelle driving steaks into hearts. Dan was also using his fighting skills, while Jacob was getting Nisha out of the room.  

"Help him Jacob, please, help him" Nisha cried half conscious.  

"I gotta help you to Nisha, Erik will be OK" he comforted her  

"Ooww, my head" Erik groaned, looking at Jacob  

"What happended to you E?"  

"They were hurting Nisha, Nisha! Where is she!??"  

"She's right here next to you, I think she'll be OK, now what happened to you?"  

"I was trying to get in, and the door opened, and I was hit with something, and I don't remember anything after that"  

"What were they doing to her?"  

"She didn't do something they wanted her to do, and they took her to the room and she started screaming, I didn't know what was happening...I was...biting."  

"Looks like they were biting her, whipping her, and...Ahh! Shit!"  

"What is it?!"  

"She's burning up! She's so hot she burned me"  

"Nisha! Is she OK?" Michelle said coming out of the room, all was quiet now.  

"She's been whipped, bitten, and for some reason she burning up, she burned me" Jacob said showing her his red hand. Michelle touch her.  

"That's really odd...she's freezing to me"  

"I found something" Ashley said coming out the room with a big black book.  

"Let me see" Michelle said, as Ashley handed her the book.  

"Its the book of vampire spells..." Dan said coming out. Michelle opened it and found a page that was saved.  

"They must have put a spell on her...it says here, The frozen hell spell...while any good vampier will touch her, they will be burned, while mortal will feel freeze, and bad will feel normal, she will stay in a state between a volcano and a blizzard. She's staring, Oh gosh...the only way we can get her out is for a bad vamp to reverse, we killed off all of them in this room..."  

"Well, Erik and her are still vamps, so there has to be someone left" Dan stated  

"But where and who?" Jacob asked, there was sounds coming from down stairs...

Michelle slowly walked down the stairs with what seemed like everyone behind her. Nisha just stayed back by Erik. 

"Don't do anything stupid," Ashley warned. 

"You know me too well," Michelle smiled. 

She walked down the stairs and saw a guy she didn't recognize. He was standing by the wall. 

"Go get his attention Michelle, I have an idea," Dan said. 

"Oh no, I'm not doing it!" 

"Come on Meech," Ashley said. Jacob pushed her into the room.  

She straightened herself out and walked over to where he was and climbed on the table next to him. 

"Hey," she said. 

He looked at her like she was crazy. 

"Are you a vampire?" 

"Yeah." 

"Oh really? Cool! So am I!" 

"Since when?" 

"Since right now," she said. At that moment, Dan came around from behind and stabbed him with the stake. 

"That wasn't very nice," Michelle said jumping off the table. 

"Who ever said anything about nice?" 

"True." 

Five minutes later, they got Nisha and Erik and took them back to the "good vamp" house. Nisha was knocked unconscious from her body temperature ranging. 

"Can we leave her here?" Ashley asked. 

"Yeah, they should be fine. Judging from what happened, they might still have to live here," Dan said as Jacob carried Nisha upstairs. 

"Thanks so much, Dan," Michelle said. 

"You're welcome." 

"Come on Meech, let's go home," Ashley said dragging her out of the house. 

Once they were outside, Ashley said, "Where were you when I called?" 

"With Trevor." 

"What were you doing?" he said suspiciously. 

"Not that it was any of your business but we were talking." 

"It is my business. I want to know what my girlfriend is doing." 

"Ha, girlfriend. You're really acting like a boyfriend, aren't you?" 

"You don't let me in, Michelle." 

"Like you let me in!" 

He stopped in his tracks right outside the front door and turned to her. "Maybe I would if you were ever around. But no, you're always with Trevor. I swear, you should have just picked him!" 

"Maybe I should have, because you're really acting like someone I need right now!" 

"I WAS GONNA PROPOSE TO YOU LAST NIGHT!" 

She stopped and looked at him. "What?" 

"I said I was gonna propose to you last night." 

"You were?" 

"Yes. But I guess it doesn't matter." 

"Ashley..." 

"Just, don't Michelle." 

"Ashley, talk to me." 

"You don't wanna talk to me, so why should I?" 

Michelle sat on the floor in front of the steps and started singing "Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you?" 

"Michelle stop." 

"Why can't I speak whenever I talk about you?" 

"Meech..." 

"It's inevitable." 

He picked her up in his arms and brought her to the bedroom. 

"Michelle, I love you." 

"I love you too." 

He knelt down on one knee in front of her, "Michelle, will you marry me?" 

"No Ashley," she said as she got up, got in her car, and left.

Dazed and confused Ashley stood.  

"No, she said no" he repeated to himself. "But she loves me..." he ended, his fist clenched and he began to walk away. He didn't know where he was going, but he wasn't coming back.  

~*~Pay Phone~*~  

Michelle picked up the phone and called Trevor.  

"Hello?"  

"Trevor, he proposed to me" Michelle cried  

"What did you say?"  

"I told him no, I know I hurt him, I said I loved him, and I do, but I told him no"  

"Well, why did you tell him no?"  

"'Cause the man I was supposed to marry is alive, and my love never died for him, when he did"  

"Do you want me to come get you?"  

"Will you please?"  

"Yes, I will be there in a few"  

"Thanks, bye"  

"Bye"

"Good Morning Baby" Trevor said as Michelle opened her eyes and looked at him.She smiled. 

"Good Morning"  

"Did you sleep well?"  

"Very...but I'm still worried about Ash...and Nisha, I hope we hear from them today"  

"Me too Babe, do you want to go and check on them?"  

"I don't know, depends, if Nisha is still a vamp, we have to wait"  

"True, guess we'll wait till they call, what about Ashley?"  

"We can go to the house, and see if he's there"  

"OK, we'll do that"  

"All right"

Nisha opened her eyes. She was alive. She hurt all over and was scared, she didn't know where she was.  

"Erik?" she cried. She reached up, placing her hand in her mouth. No fangs. She was mortal again...but how? She slowly got up, looking around. Going down stairs, and into a dark cold den. Candles were set up everywhere and Dan, Jacob, and Erik were in a circle, holding hands and chanting odd words. Nisha didn't interrupt them, she just watched.  

!!!!BOOM!!!!  

A loud explosion occurred, which made her jump. Smoke covered the guys and the chanting stopped. When the smoke cleared Nisha went and kneeled beside Erik, checking his pulse, he was alive. She checked the pulse of Dan and Jacob, both still alive. She looked at the book of spells that was laying open next to Dan. The open page said 'Never Returning Mortals' she read the spell and started to smile. They were mortal and could never return to the vampire world.  

~*~ The house ~*~  

"He's not here, he didn't leave a note or nothing, doesn't look like he stopped by" Michelle said getting upset.  

"Looks like he might have left a message" Trevor said point to the answering machine with the blinking red light. Michelle ran over and pushed the button.  

"Michelle....Its Ashley....I'm gone, probably for good, I don't know where I'm headed, but I've never felt so much pain in my life. I thought about ending my life truthfully...but I decided that, I can grow old and die now. I hope Trevor and you get married, and have a beautiful family together. I hope Nisha is OK, as well as Erik, Dan and Jacob. I'll always love you...even though you broke my heart. Good bye."  

Michelle stood back looking at the machine. She sat down on the bed, and looked at Trevor.  

"I'm so sorry Meech...I really am, what are you going to do?"  

"I want to find him, and tell him I'm sorry! I am I really am! Why do I always have to lose the men I love? But this time it was my fault!"  

"Its OK Chelle, you got me, I came back." 

"Yea, I do have you...but I'll never get to tell him I'm sorry"  

"You never know...he might come back, like me...one day" Michelle laid in the bed and cried.

Michelle woke up to her phone ringing. She didn't even remember going to sleep. Hoping everything was a dream, she sat up and looked to the empty side of the bed. She laid back down and sighed. The phone rang once again.  

"Hello?" 

"Michelle!" 

"Nisha! Thank god!" 

"Yeah, I'm still here." 

"Are you..." 

"Vampire? No! Great news! Erik, Dan, and Jacob found something to keep us mortal." 

"Thank god. I was worried." 

"How's Ash?" 

Michelle sat in silence. 

"Chelle?" 

"He's not here." 

"What do you mean?" 

"Well, it's a long story." 

"Is he coming back?" 

"I don't know." 

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, Chelle." 

"It's OK. I just need some time to think." 

"Well, I'll give you that time. We're gonna stay here until tomorrow." 

"OK, see you then." 

"Bye Michelle." 

"Bye." 

She put the phone back on the cradle and laid down, starring at the ceiling. 'If only I said 'maybe' or 'I'll think about it.' But no, I had to go and say flat out no.' 

Michelle got up and walked down into the basement, where her and Ashley had made a sort of studio, complete with guitars and a piano. She sat down at the piano and started to play a tune she had stuck in her head for days. Suddenly, the words just seem to come to her.

Michelle wrote down what she had just sang. She laughed to herself. "Ten times better than that stupid 'Gone' song by stupid NSync." She put away the journal and went back upstairs. She went back to her bed and slept away the rest of the day, too depressed to do anything else.

"Chelle! I'm home!" Nisha screamed as Erik followed her inside.  

"I'm in my room! Come up here!" Michelle yelled from upstairs. Nisha made her way upstairs, leaving Erik in the kitchen.  

"Hey, how are you?" Nisha said sitting next to her  

"Um, ok, I guess, I wish Ashley was here"  

"Aww, did you try to call him?"  

"NO! I didn't think about that! He always has his cell phone with him!" Michelle smiled picking up her phone and calling Ashley.  

"Hello?" a deep tired voice answered  

"Ashley?"  

"Yes, Michelle?"  

"Hi...uh, where are you!?" she asked  

"Somewhere"  

"Look, I'm sorry Ashley, I shouldn't have told you no, it was the first thing that came out, and I didn't think before I spoke, and I'm sorry, please come home" she spilled  

"Meech, you confused me so much, you just don't know, you tell me you love me, but you say no, I don't get it"  

"I know Ashley, but I know how I feel, I love you, and I've been so depressed since you've been gone, I need you here! I even wrote a song about it, in our studio, please Ashley come home"  

"I don't know Chelle...what about you and Trevor?"  

"I have decided that I would rather be his friend, what I did, was not fair. I was giving you the chance, and then I cut you off, like you died, and you didn't, but I know I probably killed your spirit" 

"I love you Meech, and thank you for calling, but...I'm going to think about coming home, if I show up, it'll be tonight, ok?"  

"Ok, thank you for talking to me Ash"  

"Your welcome, good-bye"  

"Bye" Michelle hung up the phone and looked at Nisha.  

"What's up?" Nisha asked  

"If he comes, it'll be tonight, he has to think about it"  

"He'll come back Chelle, I have a feeling he will, he loves you too much"  

"I hope your right Nisha, what are you doing today?"  

"I'm not sure, just relax I guess. Erik is down stairs...Chelle, I gotta tell you something"  

"What's that?"  

"You promise you wont freak out, or try to hurt me in any way shape or form!?"  

"What is it Nisha!"  

"Erik and I had sex!" she said really fast, looking at Michelle with wide eyes.  

"YOU WHAT!" Michelle screamed  

"Your freaking!"  

"YOU WHAT!!" Michelle screamed, hitting Nisha with her pillow, repeatedly.  

"Your hurting me!" Nisha screamed.  

"When did you do it!?" Michelle stopped and looked at Nisha seriously.  

"Last night" Nisha said holding her head  

"Did you use protection!?"  

"Ummm"  

"NISHA!!" Michelle scream, hitting Nisha with the pillow again.  

"I'm sorry Chelle! I know that you are really strict on wanting me to wait till I'm with someone for a looooooooong time, BUT! I feel like I've known Erik forever, and last night, we went to the next step on showing our love for each other!"  

"Nisha, you didn't use protection, I don't wanna be an aunt!"  

"Who says your gonna be an aunt!? Maybe I'll get lucky! And you have no room to talk, because, you don't use protection either. Hey! You know what, you didn't know Ashley that long and you slept with him!"  

"So! I'm older then you!"  

"Well, technically, since I'm not a vampier any more, I'm turning 20 tomorrow!!" she smiled  

"Aww, Nisha, you would be a lil teenager any more, we have to celebrate!"  

"Well, I hope we would! I was only sure of one celebration so far, from Erik"  

"You two don't need to be having any more sex! No celebration! Wait! Didn't you and Erik have sex on the beach that one night?"  

"Well, see, we had just gotten undressed, and we heard some people coming, so we got dressed...And You cant stop us! Chelle, shoot me if I'm wrong, but sex feels good!" Nisha said laughing  

"Ok, ok, I cant shoot you, cause I have to agree! But I will stop you!"  

"Yea, yea, whatever! Why don't you take a shower, and get dressed, meet us down stairs in an hour, so we can go eat, ok?"  

"All right, I do need to get out" Michelle got up, and picked out what she was going to wear, then the phone rang.  

"Hello?" Nisha answered down stairs  

"Hey, how are you Nisha?" Trevor asked  

"I'm good, good mortal!"  

"Really! That's great, what about Erik?"  

"He's mortal too, Dan and Jacob also are, and great thing is, we cant go back!"  

"I'm very happy for you, is Meech home?"  

"Yea, just a minute" Nisha walked to the bottom of the stairs and screamed "Michelle, telephone!" Michelle picked up  

"Hello?"  

"Hey baby, how are you today?" Trevor asked  

"Oh hey Trev, I'm...better, how bout you?"  

"I'm ok, have you heard from Ashley?"  

"Uh, yea, I called him"  

"What he say?"  

"Trevor, I gotta go, I'll talk to you later ok?"  

"Umm, yeaa, call me"  

"Ok, bye bye"  

"Bye" Michelle stood in front of the bath room mirror, staring at herself.

Nisha and Erik were in the kitchen. 

"I feel so sorry for her, E." 

"I know. But if he's smart he'll come back." 

"What if he doesn't?" 

"Then I'll personally go drag him back and beat him until he realizes what he's missing in her." 

"I love you," she smiled. 

"I love you too," he said as he put his arms around her waist. Right as Erik started to lean in, they heard a large thud. 

"What the hell?" Nisha said running up the stairs. 

Nisha got to the bathroom. There Michelle laid of the floor. 

"Oh my god." 

She got down on the floor. As soon as Nisha got to her knees, Michelle's eyes opened. She looked around. 

"What happened?" 

"I think you fainted." 

She sighed. "Lovely." 

"Wanna talk about it?" 

She laughed and rolled her eyes. "It's a long complicated story." 

"I got time." 

Michelle sat up against the sink. "You know how when I called Ashley?" 

"Yeah." 

"After you went downstairs, Trevor called." 

"And?" 

"I don't know. That's the thing. I was like, oh my god, I don't love him anymore. It was weird." 

Nisha laughed.  

"What the heck? Why are you laughing?" 

"Because. You realized you want to marry Ashley and you didn't know it." 

Michelle looked confused. "What?" 

"OK, here's the deal. You realized you didn't love Trevor the same day you realized that you did want to marry Ashley. Just not now." 

"But I don't want to marry Ashley." 

She raised an eyebrow, "you sure?" 

"Oh, I don't know anymore!"  

"Listen, how 'bout you stay here and me and Erik will stay with Dan and Jake tonight. OK?" 

"I guess." 

"You need to think about things. And if Ashley comes, I sure as heck don't wanna be here," Nisha smiled. 

"OK," Michelle said getting up and hugging her. "But what if he doesn't come." 

"This is the second time I've had this conversation tonight. Trust me, he will." 

"But..." 

"Michelle?" 

"Yeah?" 

"Shut up." 

She smiled.  

"See ya tomorrow sis. I'm expecting someone here tomorrow!" 

"Bye sis." 

She locked the door behind her sister. She walked up the stairs and went to sleep.

Michelle woke up to the sun shinning in her room. 'He didn't come last night.' She felt a tear leave her eye as she thought about it. She then heard someone sigh quietly. 

She sat up quickly and looked to the chair beside her bed. He stood up.  

"I thought you were never gonna wake up. Do you know what time it is?" 

"I thought you weren't here, so why bother getting up?" 

"I came, didn't I?" 

She got up and stood by Ashley. "Thank you." 

"For coming back?" 

"That, among other things." 

He bent down and kissed her. "So what's this mean?" 

She put a hand in his front pocket and pulled out a ring case. She took out the ring and put it on her left ring finger. "That's what it means." 

"Really?" 

"Yes." 

"That was so untraditional," Ashley said as he followed her downstairs. 

"How so?" 

"You just reach in my pocket and pull the ring out? Man, what happened to me getting down on one knee and asking you?" 

"You did that once." 

"Well, I was turned down that time." 

"I didn't want you to do it again." 

"You know what?" he said putting his arms around her waist. 

"What?" 

"It feels like I never left and none of this ever happened." 

"That's how I want it." 

"I like it this way." 

"We're home!" Nisha shouted from the doorway. "Oh, dang. Erik, let's go," she said seeing the display. 

"Oh shut up, N." 

"Ashley, nice to see you again," she laughed. 

"Yep." 

"You know what?" Erik said. 

"What?" 

"It's like you two were made for each other." 

"That's what I think too," Ashley said looking at Michelle. 

"You're my sweetest sin." 

"Ew, mushiness. Get it away, get it away!" Nisha said hurrying them upstairs.
