Gimmicks: NONE This is a genuine free house
offering comfortable classy surroundings away from the usual modern crap.
The bar is big and expensively decorated. There is no in your face rubbish
hanging from the walls and ceilings. Its gimmick if it has one is making
you feel you never want to leave. (See below about the Landlord and his
beer)
Comments: This pub has something for everyone
and it works. Great food. Pool. Bar Billiards. Darts. Juke Box. Karaoke.
Live Bands. Garden Patio. B&B. The best bit though is the beer. With
no brewery ties there are always 7 draught ales offering local brews, famous
favourites and stuff you have never heard of - always served as it should
be. 3 lagers on tap, ciders, bottled beers, The best of the velvety black
stuff, 22 optics and 25 Single Malts! The important thing is the
Landlord really does know how to run a cellar. Every pint is pulled to
perfection. If it ain't right it ain't served.
