We cannot escape the storms of life, for they will come.
1 Peter 4:12,13 Beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's suffering, that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto the appearing of Jesus Christ.
But through the storm, he has His way, if we are submitted to Him.
Nahum 1:3b The Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
He is also a refuge from the storm.
Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the needy in his distess, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
And oh how He makes the storm a calm.
Psalm 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves there of are
still.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:6,7 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peacably with all men.
Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things where with one may edify another.
Galatians 5:22.23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering/ gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law.
He doesn't promise that there will be no storms; but he does promise peace in the midst of storms, if our minds are stayed on Him.
You may be in a set of circumstances that makes you feel like you are in a prison. God can take the circumstances and give you fulfillment and joy, if you surrender first your life, and then your circumstances to Him. He may be trying to train you for a greater mission, or to draw you closer, or just to bring glory to Him.
Zechariah 9:12a Turn ye to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope:
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
The apostle Paul spent a good portion of his christian life in prison. While in prison:
Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Those who are in prison may be bound in chains, perhaps the Lord has chosen you to help set them free.
Isaiah 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
If we turn our eyes toward Jesus and what He has done for us, then we can say, "Father take my life and use it to honor Thee."
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though out outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

We are not to strive, contend, or argue over the Word; because it does stir up strife.
