"Gonna storm." A small utterance, remeniscent of a gasp of breath escaped her mouth as she stumbled into the large, ornate building. It didn't matter, nothing mattered anymore. The storm was a freak occurance of nature, it happened- shit happens. she quoted to herself. Love, it was a distant thing, not at the forefront of any one aspect in her life. She had thought her parents loved her, wrong; too gathered in their hatred for one another they had no time for the girl they had concieved.
Confusion seeped from her very being as she gazed blankly around the large space, everything systematically merging into one and then seperating to become doubled, tripled. Where am I? a deep pondering within her soul, too exhausted to even listen to her thoughts she stumbled towards an unfamiliar woman, blinking for one inextinguishable moment, the woman was gone. She vaguely heard a giggle- her own voice and a whisper.
"Bye-bye." on the verge of collapse, unable to make her legs stand for more than she already had, a familiar face came into perspective. Bright blue eyes swam in and out of her vision, a smile, genuine and caring- someone she loved. It was a sad prospect, she was in love with the boy standing before her, it was deep heated and intense what she felt for him yet she knew, his intention, his reason for inviting her here today- sex. He just wants to shag you, she told herself callously unable to entertain the idea that maybe, just maybe this boy wanted to get to know her better. Why should he? her inner voice had sneered, no one wants to know a druggy like you, he wants your body Kalli thats all, and you'll give it to him right because thats all you're worth, a quick fuck in a hotel room before he gets more kicks from those screaming girls- twelve year olds who wouldn't deem it imaginable for sweet little Tay Hanson to have a hardon.
Giving up to the voice, like so many times before she had shaken two small little white tablets out of the plastic bag and swallowed, numbing herself to the screams and thuds of her father beating her mother. Go on Kalli, escape it all, take some more then maybe you won't feel it, the voice had pushed, he won't care about you but for once in your life you'll feel a moment of ecstasy and pleasure and...love- remember you've got to give a little to get a little. The voice had disappeared but the echo remained... give a little.
Lighting a joint she inhaled deeply, taking in the familiar herbal scent and gradually feeling at ease with herself disregarding the chaos in the lower floor of her home, she lay back contentedly as minutes drifted restlessly into hours and the taxi she'd forgotten about ordering arrived and took her to a place she'd forgotten she was going.
