"Hi! I'm Lindsay!" I heard Lindsay say to them.
"Who's that?" Zac asked her, pointing to me, and smiling.
Lindsay nudged me in the ribs.
"Ooof," I squeaked. 'Great! Now they probably think Im a big weirdo who can't talk for herself. Really smooth Lauren, Really smooth,' I thought to myself.
Lindsay rolled her eyes at my flushed face. "Thats my sister Lauren. I guess she's still in shock about meeting you. She usually talks and talks and never stops!"
Taylor laughed. "Sounds like Zac, here."
"I'm Zac, and I'm the cutest member in this band," Zac said, putting out his hand.
I shook it, not wanting to let go.
"Yeah...I know," I smiled. "I-i-i'm Lau-ren.." My voice trailed off, realizing how stupid I must've sounded.
"Yeah, so I've heard,"
Everyone else laughed, and I managed a weak smile.
"In case you don't know, Im Isaac, and thats Taylor," Isaac said to us.
"Yeah, everyone knows who you are," I said, calming down some what.
"Aren't you supposed to be talking to other fans, too?" I asked curiously.
"Umm, what other fans?" Zac asked me, looking around the room.
I looked around also, and realized that we were the only ones in the room, besides two adults, who I figured were Walked and Diana Hanson, the boy's mother and father.
"Ooops......I must have been really out of it..." I commented.
Zac laughed. "Don't worry about it. I mean, its only natural. We ARE the best looking guys on the planet!" He joked.
I giggled. "True..." I said.
We talked for what seemed like hours, but was really only 15 minutes. We knew alot more about each other than we used to.
"Hey Zac?" I asked a little later. "Where did everyone go?" I noticed that We were the only ones there. Isaac, Taylor, and Lindsay were all gone.
"I don't know..." Zac said, a puzzled look set on his cute face.
" Lets go look for them!" I suggested.
"Okay, come on!" Zac yelled, taking my hand, and pulling me out into the hall.
I felt a bolt go through me as I let Zac guide me.
We finally found them, on stage. The really odd thing was, that Lindsay was at the microphone, and she was singing!
When she was done singing 'I will come to you', I clapped my hands, and called to her "Wow Linds! I didn't know you could sing like that! Your voice is amazing!"
"I didn't know I could sing like that either. I guess I never really tried to sing before." she admitted.
"Well.......maybe it runs in the family! I suggested. "Come on, lemme try to sing!"
"Okay Lauren, lets see whatcha got," Tay said, turning to me.
"What song do ya want?" Isaac asked me, plucking a few strings on his gituar.
"Ummm.....Wheres the Love, I guess," I said, after thinking for a few minutes.
"Sure thing boss!" Zac said, suluting me.
I smiled, took a deep breath, and waited for my cue.
Zac came in with a drumroll, and Isaac and Taylor followed in.
I closed my eyes, and started to sing :
"Something's been going on, and I don't know what it is,"
"You don't mind taking girl, but you don't know how to give"
"Oh, you drove me crazy, but I don't know baby"
"Your thinking that its me your fooling"
"Wheres the right in, all our fighting"
"Look at what you doin"
I continued thinking "Oh Lauren, how could you even THINK you could sing? Your voice is awful, your off key, and you can't carry a tune in a bucket!"
When I finished, I stepped timidly away from the microphone. I looked at Lindsay, then Zac, then Taylor, then Isaac, and then back at Lindsay.
"Well??!!" I asked them expectantly. "Oh come on! I wasn't that bad!" I thought I would burst into tears right then and there.
"Bad??" Taylor asked me, astonished. "Your think you were bad?? You were just as good as Lindsay!"
"Really?" I asked him, incredously, a smile playing on my lips.
"I agree with Tay. You girls are BOTH very very talented. Have you ever thought of making a band?" he asked us.
I blushed. "Well....I already tried that....It didn't work out though, because I didn't think I was good enough. I formed a band with my friends Jessica, Nicky, their twins, Shannon, and Melonie,"
"Wow, really?" Zac asked.
I nodded.
"Did any of you play instruments?" Isaac asked curiously.
"Um, yeah, I played the drums, Jessica played keyboards, Nicky played precussion, Shannon played gutair, and Melonie played violin. The violin just kinda fit in, I guess," I said simply.
"Can I hear you play the drums?" Zac asked, obviously interested that I played the drums. (*AN - I really do play the drums*)
I blushed, but quickly recovered, and nodded. I walked over to his drums, took the sticks he offered, and sat down. I started off by playing a beat on the cymbals, and then added the drums in. I played like never before, and when I was done, Zac's eyes were wide open. "Wow!" He said. "You're better than me!"
"I wouldn't go that far," I said.
"Hey Zac! Come here! I gotta talk to you and Ike for a second.
"I'll be right back, okay?" Zac asked me.
"Yeah, okay."
He walked off, and I thought about how lucky I was. I woandered over to where Lindsay was, fingering the keyboards, and said "Wow, isn't this SO cool?"
"Yeah, definately! Im so glad we came!"
Isaac, Taylor and Zac came out, and they were each grinning from ear to ear. "Okay, we have a propisition for you two," Taylor said.
"Oh yeah? And whats that?" Lindsay asked.
"We want you two to join Hanson." Zac cried, jumping forward, wraping me in a hug.
"Are you for real?" I asked.
"Yup." Isaac smiled.
I was shocked. Literally. I couldn't move. I quickly got over it, and took a few exagerated bows. I laughed, but got two close to the stage. My foot slipped, and and I could feel myself falling. I screamed, and landed on the floor below with a sickening thud.......
