i wrote this thing really long
ago, like last summer or something. and i've sent this article
thing to a ton of e-newsletters
i'm in, but none has ever put it in the newsletter (they probably
don't saher my point of view), so i figured that the only
way i could get someone to see it (at least hope that someone
will see it) is by putting it on my page.
to hate or not to hate
a couple of weeks ago [now many
months ago] i got a mail from a person i dont know, about
britney spears.
it was a petition looking thingy, and i think it said something
like "sign this so we can see how many hates
britney spears. i want to get this to britney herself". i
never signed that thing, nor did i pass it on. why not?
well first of all, "hate" is a very strong word, and i
dont exactly know that much about britney, just that shes
american and sings "
baby, one more time" &
"sometimes", and yeah, the breast thing (has it been
confirmed?),
and im not exactly the biggest britney fan in the world.
but most importantly, think back like a year, year and a
half, maybe two, or maybe even last week, how did you feel when
you got one of those "sign this if you hate
hanson" or any other band you like, petitions? fortunately i
never really got any of those, but some of my friends
did, and they got pretty upset. my point is, if i had signed that
thing and/or passed it on, would i be any better
than the people who made/signed/passed on the ones with
"sign this if you hate hanson"? are the people who did
really any better than the hanson haters (i got it from a hanson
fan)? think about that the next time you get one
of those and consider passing it on! thank you.
