WEIRD THINGS THAT ACTAULLY HAVE HAPPENED TO ME!
One day I listened to the radio and I turned that wheel to find a cooler station. Well I did, kinda, it was a Spanish station. But after listening to it for about ten minutes I remembered one important thing: I don't speak or understand Spanish, at least not that much. So I had wasted ten minutes of my "valuable" time listening to a guy who spoke a language I don't understand. I am very absent minded sometimes, and I guess that was one of those times.
The summer of '97 I was on vacation in Portugal. One day we were going from the south coast to Lisbon, and that's a really long bus ride. We were literally in the middle of nowhere when I listened to Hanson's song Man from Milwaukee. When they started to sing:"It started at a bus stop in the middle of nowhere..." we drover by a little bus stop...in the middle of nowhere...a coincidence? I don't know, but it was weird, very weird.
I was listening to Fastball's The Way (the single), and I'd listened to it...a couple of times (four or something), and when I turned over from the CD player to the radio, guess what I heard? Yep:"...they left before the sun came up that day..." For those of you who don't know what's so weird about that I'll tell you: That's The Way.
It happened again, The Way was on the radio right after I'd listened to it on CD (actually right after Are You Ready For The Fallout? this time, which is track #2 on the Fastball single). The same thing happened on New Years Eve, only then with MMMBop, so cute.
Ok, you're probably sick and tired from reading about all my weird experiences with The Way, but I can comfort you with the fact that the single now is broken. So until I get a new one this will be the last thing you'll hear about this: I was listening to The Way (single), and then there was a skip (thanx for telling me Diana) so I had to turn over to the radio. The skip was where they sing "...children woke up and they couldn't find them..." and when the radio started playing The Way was on, and it was exactly where I'd stopped the CD.
In Science we did this kinda stupid test thing, and that was how long we could manage to hold our breathes after sitting still, breathing heavily, and walk up and down on a chair about 15 times. Well, there was this boy in my class, Kristian, really nice, and he sat on the row in front of me, and every time he said his results I was speechless 'cause I got the exact same results as him, all three times! And in another Science class we checked our pulses, and again Kristian and I had the same! And we chose to read the same book by a writer, without the other person having a clue what book the other one read. We didn't find out till some Norwegian class when the teacher asked.
Ok, this happened a while back, it was a Friday afternoon, and as bored as I was I turned the TV on (I don't watch much TV). And there, after zapping for a while, I found a movie about some teenagers who were going to see The Beatles, but they didn't have tickets or something (I didn't see the beginning), and they were locked in the basement of the building. I watched the whole movie, or the rest of it, without knowing the name of it or anything. So when the movie was over I looked through the TV Guide to find out which movie it was, but did I find it? No! So I looked through another TV Guide, and as in the first one I looked at all the channels' show list, but did I find it there? Nope! So I checked the text tv on the channel, but it wasn't there either. So all I wonder is: did I really see that movie, or did I fall asleep and dreamt the whole thing?
Those of you who like Beavis and Butthead probably know that there's a movie, or at least a video called "Feel Our Pain". Well, I went to the music store at the mall, and they had that video there (of course I didn't buy it, I'm not a fan of them). But when I got home I couldn't get the picture out of my head, and I kept thinking of it. But then I started thinking of Fastball instead 'cause their album is called "All The PAIN Money Can Buy", and just as I started thinking of it, "Fire Escape" started playing on the radio!
One Sunday morning when I woke up I thought "I wish someone could play "Semi-Charmed Life" (you know, that really cool Third Eye Blind song that I can't get out of my head once I've heard it), and then, just a little later, Radio Tango played the song. I don't know how old that song is, but they shouldn't have played it when I wished that someone would play it (did that make sense?)
On MTV Europe there's a VJ called Eden. We don't have MTV anymore (*sob*), so I hadn't seen that lady in ages. But then I listened to "I Know What You Did Last Summer- The Album" and to L7's song "This Ain't The Summer of Love", and in that song I think they say something like "This ain't the garden of EDEN...", and that's when I started thinking of her. I don't remember what was on TV, some beauty contest (Miss World I think), and guess who was one of the hosts...yep, Eden, from MTV. [can't you hear the Twilight Zone theme song playing in the background? If you do, go see a shrink!]
Now you must be sick of my Fastball experiences, but there's one more. Sometimes we get MTV Europe for free for a couple of days and I didn't know that. So I was in my room, took the Fastball cd "All The Pain Money Can Buy", and said to my posters (yes, I'm weird) "You know, I still haven't seen the "The Way" video". So I went into the living room, with my Fastball cd in my hands, turned the TV on MTV and some song was playing on MTV Say What? Guess what song was next...yepperz, "The Way"!
