45 Matters of Honor On assignment from an Earth Alliance Senator, Special Intelligence Commission agent David Endawi investigates the knowledge B5 personnel have of the shadow ship encountered by Lt. Keffer. The Centauri blockade of a Ranger training colony in Drazi space leads Marcus Cole to B5 for assistance. Delenn and Marcus introduce Sheridan and Ivanova to the White Star, which they use to rescue the stranded Rangers from Zagro 7. Sheridan loses an intervening Shadow ship by destroying it in the Markab jumpgate. Londo tells Morden he doesn’t need the assistance of his associates any longer, and they set up the terms of their separation. The EA Senator consults with Morden and an agent of the Psi Corps after receiving Endawi’s report.
46 Convictions While a group of monks take up residence on Babylon 5, a mad bomber terrorizes the station. Lennier nearly sacrifices his life to save Londo. Londo and G’Kar later share a touching moment in the transport tube.
47 A Day in the Strife Sheridan and Ivanova must negotiate with the cargo pilots association. A “berserker probe” arrives and demands answers to many complicated questions in return for medical cures and advanced technology. Franklin depends on stims a little too much. Londo arranges for Vir to be transferred to the Centauri mission on Minbar.
48 Passing Through Gethsemane Brother Edward is frightened by mysterious memories and visions. Lyta returns as a passenger of Ambassador Kosh’s Ship. She is able to share Kosh’s methane environment with the help of some new accessories: gills.
49 Voices of Authority The Nightwatch sends political adviser Julie Musante to Babylon 5. Ivanova takes a turn in the machine of Epsilon 3 and uncovers some startling information about the death of President Santiago. She then pilots the White Star to contact some First Ones at Sigma 957. G’Kar lends the book of G’Quan to Garibaldi with the suggestion that he learn to read Narn.
50 Dust to Dust Bester arrives to investigate use of the telepathic drug Dust. G’Kar experiments with it and learns some dark secrets from Londo Mollari in a Dust-induced attack. He also has a “revelation” from G’Lan, which was actually manipulated by Kosh. G’Kar is jailed for his assault of Mollari.
51 Exogenesis David Corwin is promoted to full lieutenant, and Ivanova is enlisted to find where his loyalties lie. A symbiotic race has been joining with some lurkers, which prompts an investigation from Marcus and Franklin.
52 Messages from Earth Garibaldi receives a package from Mars—Dr. Kirkish. She tells of the IPX discovery of shadow ships buried on Mars and Ganymede. Meanwhile, investigation of President Clark’s involvement in the death of President Santiago continues on Earth, while the Nightwatch gets more and more suspicious of Captain Sheridan. G’Kar begins writing a book about his experiences with the shadows.
53 Point of No Return President Clark dissolves the EA Senate and declares martial law on Earth and on B5. Nightwatch subsequently receives orders to take over station security. G’Kar is released from jail three weeks early and later asks to be included in the “conspiracy of light.” Meanwhile, Lady Morella, third wife of Centauri emperor Turhan, visits B5 at Londo’s request and brings some surprising prophecies for Londo and Vir.
54 Severed Dreams Several Earth Alliance colonies cede from the Alliance, and Babylon 5 is forced to join them. Delenn splits the Grey Council. Sheridan shares a vidphone call with his father. Babylon 5 is the site of a major space battle against other Earth Alliance forces. 1997 Hugo Award Winner for Best Dramatic Presentation.
55 Ceremonies of Light and Dark Delenn attempts to arrange a Minbari religious ceremony of rebirth to help heal wounds from the recent events on B5, but it seems most everyone has plans to be somewhere else. A few of the remaining underground Nightwatch personnel attempt to assassinate Sheridan and then Delenn. Londo threatens to poison Refa if he does not break his alliance with Morden. While changing passwords to the Babylon 5 computer system, Garibaldi unlocks an early attempt at giving the station computer artificial intelligence.
56 Sic Transit Vir Ivanova has strange dreams. As Vir arrives from Minbar, he finds a young Centauri woman named Lyndesty who tells him they are betrothed, as arranged by his uncle and her mother. As Vir warms to the idea—and to her—he learns how she feels about Narns. Zack and Ivanova notice a certain Centauri’s name showing up frequently on Narn relocation papers.
57 A Late Delivery from Avalon A man claiming to be Arthur, King of the Britons, arrives on B5. Ivanova and Sheridan negotiate a mutual defense treaty between many of the non-aligned worlds and Babylon 5. Garibaldi faces off against the Earth Force Postal Service.
58 Ship of Tears Psi Cop Alfred Bester travels to Babylon 5 to notify Sheridan of a shipment of weapons components from Psi Corps to the Shadows. The shipment is hundreds of reeducated telepaths who are intended to be merged with Shadow ships. When Bester discovers that one of the telepaths is his lover, he pledges support to Sheridan against the Shadows. G’Kar again asks to be included in the Army of Light, and Sheridan and Delenn agree. Garibaldi discovers a connection between Narn “mindwalkers” and G’Quon’s defeat of the Shadows in the last war 1000 years ago.
59 Interludes and Examinations The Shadows begin openly attacking worlds on the rim. Sheridan requests the Vorlons’ help in convincing the rim worlds their cause is unified. Londo’s lover Adira is murdered by Morden; Morden uses this to turn Londo against Refa. Garibaldi confronts Franklin about his stim addiction.
60 War Without End, Part One On Minbar, Ambassador Sinclair receives a note from 900 years ago which is addressed to him. He leaves for Babylon 5 where the crew has been picking up a distress calls from Ivanova from eight days in the future. Sheridan, Delenn, Sinclair, Ivanova, Marcus, Lennier, and Zathras take the White Star to sector 14 where they plan to steal Babylon 4 and take it 1000 years into the past to help the Minbari win the last Shadow war. Sheridan experiences a time flash that puts him on Centauri Prime 17 years into the future.
61 War Without End, Part Two As Sheridan continues to be “unstuck in time” on Centauri Prime, Marcus, Ivanova, Zathras, Delenn, and Sinclair work to prepare Babylon 4 for its travel to the past. Sinclair reveals that he will not be returning to the present, for someone has to be on Babylon 4 when they deliver it to the Minbari. He uses a Chrysalis machine provided by Zathras and undergoes a change... to become a full Minbari called Valen.
62 Walkabout Sheridan takes a spacewalk as the new Vorlon ambassador arrives on Babylon 5. The new Vorlon, who calls himself “Kosh,” accosts Lyta Alexander, looking for a “piece” of the dearly departed Kosh. Sheridan takes the White Star out to test the theory that telepaths can be used against the Shadows. Dr. Franklin meets a singer in downbelow while on Walkabout to “meet himself.”
63 Grey 17 is Missing Delenn and Lennier visit Minbar and retrieve the belongings from Ambassador Sinclair’s quarters. Rathenn tells Delenn that she would be the perfect leader for the Rangers now that Sinclair is gone. Neroon, however, feels otherwise and threatens Delenn if she accepts the position. Lennier brings news of the threat to Marcus, who challenges Neroon to a fight until the death. Meanwhile, a maintenance worker disappears in Grey Sector, prompting Garibaldi to investigate.
64 And the Rock Cried Out, No Hiding Place A Rabbi and a Baptist minister bring information about a resistance on Earth. The minister reminds Sheridan that he needs someone to help share his personal burdens. Sheridan and Delenn find a pattern in the Shadow attacks. Refa and Londo compete for the favor of the Centauri Emperor, and Vir gets caught in the middle. Londo wins, and with the help of G’Kar Refa is killed. Delenn takes Sheridan to see a fleet of newly built White Star vessels, and they share their first kiss.
65 Shadow Dancing After finding a pattern to the Shadow attacks, Sheridan decides to engage them in a battle. The Captain sends Marcus and Ivanova out in the White Star as advance scouts, and en route Marcus tells Susan that he thinks she’s beautiful (but he says it in Minbari). Delenn tells Sheridan that after they come back from the fight they will spend the night together. Franklin is almost fatally wounded while trying to stop a fight in downbelow. As a result, he meets himself and realizes he doesn’t much like what he sees. He vows to change, and Sheridan tells him his old position as medlab chief is waiting for him. While Delenn watches John sleep, the door to his quarters opens and in walks John’s wife, Anna, back from the dead.
66 Z’Ha’Dum John Sheridan agrees to accompany Anna to Z’Ha’Dum. John and Delenn fight because Delenn and Kosh kept the knowledge of Anna from him. G’Kar and Ivanova examine a shipment of thermonuclear devices courtesy of the Gaim. Londo receives word that he is receiving a promotion to the Royal Court. After the Sheridans leave, a fleet of Shadow ships appear outside Babylon 5. Garibaldi and his Fury are missing after the fleet mysteriously disappears. Anna, Morden, and Shadow agent Justin explain to John the history behind the Shadows and Vorlons. John jumps into a pit beneath the Shadow city as the White Star nosedives into the city and detonates a nuclear device.
