The Ninth Rose Part 1-The Meeting Chapter 3
I awoke to feel someone shaking my shoulders very gently. "Hey,
sleepyhead, time to get up." Someone whispered. This was how my mom always
woke me up when I had to go to school.
I was still groggy, and I mumbled, "No, mum. It's too early to get
up yet." I pushed a hand off my shoulder. This gesture was answered by a
lot of laughter. "What are you-" I opened my eyes to see Nick, and it took
me a second to realize it was him. "Oh, hi. I can't believe I fell asleep.
What time is it?"
"It's one o'clock on the morning." I heard AJ say, "And it's time
to go. The storm's cleared up." I looked up from my "Nick pillow" to see
everyone that had been there earlier standing around us. I sat up, yawned,
and then Nick stood up.
"Help me up?" I joked sweetly. Nick took my hand and pulled me too
my feet. To my sweet surprise, he didn't let go of it. "So I guess this is
goodbye." I said
"Not necessarily." he replied. He handed me a piece of paper. On it
was written a room number, floor number, and "The Hilton, Windsor". "We'll
be there for three more days" He said.
"Great. do you want to do something tomorrow night?" I asked.
"Sure. I have something in mind."
"So when should I stop by?"
"After nine would be great."
"Hey you lovebirds over there! Break it up cuz we all want to get
going!" Called Brian.
"Alright, just a sec!" Nick replied. "Want to come with us in the
car? We'll drop you off at home." He said to me.
"That would be wonderful." I said. We walked out, still holding
hands. When we got to the limo we saw that Steph and all the guys were
already inside. Steph was sitting beside Howie. I stepped in and Nick sat
down beside me. I leaned on his shoulder. I was still so tired.
"How cuuuute!" said Steph.
"Oh, let us be." I told her.
"Okay, okay." she replied. I smiled at her.
I told Nick to directions to my house and he told the driver. When
we got there after dropping Steph off, Nick followed me out of the car and
walked me to my steps.
"See you tomorrow." he said.
"Of course." I smiled. "I'm looking forward to it."
He leaned over to my ear and whispered, "Me too." I was very
surprised when he gently kissed my cheek. As soon as he did I heard all the
guys in the limo cheering. I smiled again and so did he. He squeesed my
hand, turned around, and got back in the car. Before he closed the car door
I heard calls of "Woohoo!" and "GO NICK!", which of course made me laugh. I
watched the car drive off until it turned a corner, then walked inside.
