*Hanson News!*
Hanson has a new dog named Wickit (Let me say right now, I didn't name the poor dog)
They now love paintball and dirt bike riding in addition to lasertag
They were in Ringo Starr's video for La De Da
In DC, Taylor supposedly gave a girl named Tracy Schaffer a silver ring when she got to talk to him for half an hour before the show. I thought it was Ike with the silver ring...Friends! This has been confirmed true in a Baltimore newspaper. Taylor gave her the sterling silver ring and she wears it around her neck. He also gave her his private e-mail address and told her he wanted to see her again. I felt like suicide last night. It was awful.
Ozzy Osbornes daughters, Aimee and Kelly, 13 and 14, paid $16,000 at an auction for quality bonding time with Hanson. They got a private jet ride to the DC show, being escorted by the oh-so-cool MTV VJ Jesse Camp (although Carson is awesome too!), a meal with them (minus Ike...go figure) and time backstage with a backstage pass. Now if I had an extra $16,000 lying around the house, I'd bid that high too but we aren't all filthy rich.
The 2nd issue of MOE is on the way. There are some TO-DIE-FOR pics in it...especially the back cover...woo-eee!!!!!
Tentative plans on recording the next album HAVE been made. At the conclusion of the tour, they're going to get a studio in Tulsa for awhile and begin the recording process. The album is due out in the summer of '99.
The Tour opens June 9th in Paris
3-Car Garage was released May 12th...GO GET IT!!!
Weird and Thinking of You are being released as foreign singles :(
Hanson's New video places Weird Al behind the Camera for the "Three Car Garage" album. In the video, Weird Al tackles the role of Bill Paxton's modern-day underwater scavenger, and "Titanic" star Gloria Stuart revisits her role, only this time around she is a devout follower of the Hansons. Instead of flashing back to the tale of the doomed ship, she regales Weird Al with stories of Hanson's early days.
* Hanson In Ringo Starr's Video Shoot: Ringo Starr's video for "La De Da," the first single from his much-heralded new album "Vertical Man," will feature Hanson in a clever sketch shot in New York's Times Square. The shoot, under the auspices of video director Nancy Brewer, had the 57-year old former Beatle drummer sitting on a bench where he's joined by the teen trio. In short order, the Hanson brothers are spotted and chased by screaming teenage girls. In a complete turnaround from Beatlemania, they leave behind Starr, untouched and unnoticed. Hanson also showed up at Starr's rare club appearance at the Bottom Line in New York Tuesday night
More on the way!!
