Chapter Twenty Two~ Final Chapter!

Standing behind him, they could hear him humming while he doodled.
"MMMBop!" Emily mouthed. Whitney nodded.
"Hey Taylor." He looked up at the two girls with a smile, then a confused look flashed across his face, then was repalced with a smile again. His eyes swept over Emily. Whitney held her breath and waited for his eyes to return to her. "I hope you don't mind, but my friend Emily was dying to meet you." "It's okay, really. Hi. I'm Taylor." He held his hand out.
"Hi. I'm Emily." She took his hand gently, in shock of meeting him, then held it. "Do you mind if I give you a hug?" she asked slowly.
"Not at all." His smile widened. So did Whitney's as they held eachother for longer than a usual polite stranger hug.
"Lets go get some ice cream." Whitney said. Emily and Taylor jumped apart.
"After you." Whitney and Emily went in a and found a booth. They set their purses and his rollerblades down while they ordered.
Whitney slid into the booth first with her mint chocolate chip. She motioned for Emily to set next to her when she came with her ice cream. Taylor came last and sat across from them, smiling.
"What?" Whitney asked.
"The guy behind the counter just told me how lucky I was."
"Why?" Asked Emily.
"Because I'm with the two most gorgeous girls." Emily giggled. "He's right you know." Whitney looked at Taylor, who was smiling at Emily, when she saw over Taylor's shoulder Isaac come striding towards the parlor.
"I'll be right back." Grabbing her purse, she made Emily get out, then she too saw Isaac. Taylor saw Emily's expression, and turned around. "I"ve got it. You two have your ice cream." Emily sat back down and gazed into Taylor's eyes, ignoring her melting ice cream. Whitney met Isaac at the door. She slipped an arm throught his, and led him out of sight from the doors. "What're you doing here?" She asked, knowing he was angry. She could practically see steam coming out of his ears. She controlled the urge to laugh at the mental image.
"I'm here because I'm mad at Taylor for asking you to come here. He knows I asked you out first, amd most of what happened on our date, and he still had the nerve to ask." He turned his back on Whitney for a mement.
"And?" Turning around, she could see he had calmed.
"And I know we agreed to keep our dating casual..." He ran a hand over his hair. Whitney stepped up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. She could see the suprise in his eyes before he closed them. Closing hers, she felt him kiss her back.
"You kissed...me." He said after a moment.
"And?" Whitney smiled.
"I thought that because you met Tay this afternoon..."
"I met for ice cream after school. And in case you didn't notice, I also brought a friend, who seems to be doing a good job of keeping him occupied."
"You- you brought a friend?"
"Of course. Remember my friend that I was telling you about who was interested in Taylor? I suprised him." She smiled and brought her arms down to his waist. Isaac smiled.
"You're unbelieveable." He kissed the tip of her nose. "How's he buying it?"
"I think you won't have to worry about him after me anymore. I almost feel left out and unimportant he brushed me off so fast."
"Good for us. So does this mean we can be- togeather?"
"Yeah. About that double date...How about some melted mint chocolate chip ice cream?" She smiled sweetly, batting her eyelashes.
"For you. And this doesn't qualify as a second date."
"Are you still mad?" She took his hand and led him to the door and opened it.
"Only a little, but at least I don't want to strangle him."
"Good hor him." They stopped dead in their tracks. Taylor had moved to Emily's seat, and Emily had moved to Whitney's seat, and they were making out. Isaac cleared his throat. They turned to look, dazed.
"Ike. Whitney. I'm sorry. I came for Whitney and..." He smiled at Emily. "I'm glad she brought you."
"Me too." Emily said quietly.
"Well, that worked out nice, didn't it." Whitney said proudly. Everyone nodded. "I think I need new ice cream." she said, looking sadly into her melted bowl of green soup.
"I'll get you another. To go." Isaac said.
"Thank you. So." Whitney turned to Emily and Taylor. "I'm glad you came with me Emily, and I'm glad Taylor asked me to come today, even with his brother's disapproval."
"Yeah, we're going to have to smooth that out. Thanks again for bringing her. I'm sorry I caused such a mess for everyone."
"I'm glad we all found a perfect solution." Emily added. "So maybe a real double date sometime?"
"Lets have a couple more private ones first." Isaac said, waiting for Whitney to stand. "We'll catch you guys later."
"Bye."
"Bye." Whitney took her ice cream.
"Thanks for my ice cream."
"It's the least I can do for you with Emily."
"So where are we going?"
"How about back to my place so I can sing for you? And you can see my house durning the day." Whitney laughed.
"I'd love to."
