A year later, Marissa had them flown back to America to live with their dad. The nanny had accompanied them on their flight. Their dad had told all this to them just but a few years ago. He didn't come out and directly say that Marissa hadn't wanted them, but Jason and Jasmine knew it was true. They confronted their dad with this, and he told them that Marissa's job was more important at the time.
A play from Europe had made it so well over there, that it came here for the Americans. Her dad's boss insisted that he took her dad to the play. And who knew that Marissa was going to be the lead character. "Get back to reality Jas." She shook her head and stood up. Her stomach flipped. Jasmine reached out for the doorknob to steady herself. "Guess I stood up a little too fast there." She said out loud. She went across the living room to look out the large picture window that overlooked downtown Austin. Jasmine rested her forhead on the glass. She loved the view from up here. She felt like she was on top of the world. Underneath their appartment was a record company with a recording studio. They only had artists assigned to them that were not too well known yet. At least, that's what they say. Jasmine spent a lot of her vacation time in the studio. The receptionist there was almost like a mother to her. They spent lots of time togeather. "Hey. I'll go talk to her." She told the window. Jasmine went to the bathroom and checked over her appearance. Besides. You never know who'll be there. She left the appartment, carefully locking the door behind her. She ran to the elevator and pushed the button for the first floor. Slowly the elevator began to move downwards. "I hope she'll be there." The elevator stopped, and the doors opened.
