Chapter Ten
Walker sat back down.
"Well, she obviously can't go back there. Is this the first time it's happened, do you know?" Walker asked.
"This is the first time she's been beaten, but her grandma poisons her food, so Angelique doesn't eat." Tay answered.
"Well, she deffinitely can't go back there." Doctor Whiteman came back out.
"She's breathing again. She's alive. In a lot of pain, but alive. They're puttin' on the casts now. She'll be moved into a regular room in a couple minutes. Then you can see her again."
"Thanks." The doctor went back in the emergency room.
"So what'da you wanna do with Angelique?" Zac asked.
"We have to leave in three days." Ike added.
"Does her grandma hurt her sister?" Walker questioned.
"No. Doesn't toutch her." Tay told his dad.
"Maybe we can fly her down to the hospital in Tulsa when we go home. When she's able to get out of the hospital, she can stay with us. How old is she?"
"Fourteen." Tay said.
"She could be schooled with you Tay. What do you think about that guys?"
"Cool!" Tay said.
"Great."
"Awesome!" Zac yelled.
"When we find out what room she'll be in, I'll call mom and what's up. I'm almosy positive she'll accept her. And when we go back tonight, to our rooms, we'll tell her sister and have her lead us to her room so we can get her stuff. She can have the guest room at home." The doctor came out.
"She's been moved to E211. It's in the east wing on the second floor."
"Thanks Dr. Whiteman."
"You're welcome. Good luck with the girl."
"Oh. We're taking her with us."
"Where are you going?"
"Back home. She'll be moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma." Walker explained.
"Wow. That's really generous of you. I'm sure your boys here won't mind."
Everybody smiled. "Well, it was nice meeting you."
"You too doctor." The two men shook hands again. The doctor left them and went back into the e.r.
"Well boys, shall we go see our newest member of the family?"
"Yeah!" They shouted.
