Chapter Twelve

"Hey Kaitlin. Where's Angelique's room?" Ike asked the girl.
"Oh- you mean the Hanson room. Across from the parlor right over there."
"The Hanson room?"
"Yeah. Every room has a name and her's is the Hanson room. Just look in there and you'll see why." She smiled at Ike.
"Do you know where Angelique is?" He asked.
"Nope. I haven't seen her since before we left for town. Do you know where she is?"
"Ah, yeah. You don't know what happened, do you."
"If it has to do with where she is, I haven't a clue."
"Okay. Well, Angelique, is ah, in the hospital in Oak Grove."
"Oh my god- what happened?" She had shock in her expression.
"Your grandma beat her. Angelique has three broken ribs, one dislocated knee and a banged up elbow. She has to stay in the hospital for at least five days."
"Granny?! She couldn't have! She's so old and sweet- you must be lying."
"Did you know sbout her being sick for a month?"
"I knew she was sick."
"Do you know why?"
"She cought the flu?"
"No. "Granny" poisoned her food."
"I think you must have the wrong people mixed up. I think you need help."
"Okay, don't believe me. But when she never comes back, don't be surprised, because we're taking her to Oklahoma with us. Your "Granny" has been trying to kill Angelique. When we visit her tomorrow, you can come and talk to her for yourself and see who's lying then."
"Alright, I will." Ike went to get the rest of his family to pick up Angelique's stuff. When they entered her room-
"Kaitlin's right. This is the Hanson room." Pictures covered the walls.
"Holy cow! Look at the pile of magazines!" Zac shouted.
"She has pictures everywhere." Tay remarked.
"Well boys, lets get to work." Walker said.
