Chapter Fourteen
"So now that you can talk openly with us, tell about yourself." Ike said from a chair at the foot of my bed.
"Well, what do you want to know?"
"Why is your name French and Kaitlin's not?"
"I was born in France. She was born in Kansas."
"Do you speak French?" Zac asked.
"No."
"How old were you when you came to the States?" Tay questioned.
"Not even a year. Kaitlin and I were flown over here, without our parents, to our grandma's house."
"You've spent your whole life in that place?!"
"Yeah."
"Then it was about time you got out of there anyway." He said with a flair of anger.
"You said your father was a Frenchman. How did your parents meet then?" Zac Zac asked.
"Well, my mom flew over to France looking for a job being a model or actress. She met Pierre- who was her agent. They fell in love, got married, and us. They flew to my mom's parents' house when they had Kaitlin, and then the three of them flew back to France, and had me." Walker was on a nearby table, listening intently.
"So, who of your two parents do you look like the most? Kaitlin doesn't look anything like you." Ike asked.
"I've been told that I look exactly like my mom- with my hair down and make-up on. Kaitlin looks like my dad."
"Did you mom ever make it big?" Zac asked.
"Only in France. Nowhere else."
"So if we fly to France, we'd see you mom." Tay concluded.
"Yeah." A nurse came in pushing a tray loaded with pill bottles and a heap of food and liquids.
"Visitors, if you'll please excuse her- she has to eat and take her medicine." I saw their eyes grow wide at the numerous bottles of midicine. Walker ushered his boys out of the room.
"We'll grab a bite to eat in the cafeteria. Be back in a while." I nodded and watchedhim close the door. I turned my attention to the nurse.
"You need to eat all of this this time. The pills you'll be taking are mostly vitamins since you are so mal-nourished. You'll also be taking pain killers. Now eat up." She placed the tray on the rolly table and pushed the arm over me. "Try to drink as of the fluid as possible. You're also severy dehydrated. If you hadn't come in when you did, you'd probably becoming in soon- for not getting enough food and liquids." She dissappeared again.
