Chapter Four
I finshed up in the pool house and headed back inside. I passed the boys on the way in. I kept my head down and kept walking, but a little faster.
"Hey! Wait up a sec!" Tay called out to me. I ignored him and dissappeared inside.
"I guess she doesn't want to talk Tay." Zac shrugged. Tay's face had a mixed expression of sadness and determination.
I went upstairs to the boys' room while they were out. I made the beds and cleaned the bathroom, and left as soon as I was done. I retreated to the safeness of my room. I looked out my window. Kaitlin was walking towards them. I turned away in disgust. Kaitlin is grandma's favorite. She could mingle with anyone she wanted and not get in trouble. But not me. My dream of meeting Hanson up close and personal is being destroyed by one thing- my grandma. I decided to take a shower. Maybe that'll help the mood I'm in.
Afterwards, I got dressed an put my hair into a low pony tail. The lunch bell for the guests rang. This meant I get to play waitress for the people who decided to stay in the hotel for the meal. What we do is make one huge thing of something for the meals, and if nobody wants what we're serving, you go out to eat. There were twenty plates of food to bring out. Kaitlin, grandma and I all brought out the food. Going back and forth between the rooms, I could feel someine stairing at me, but I couldn't look to find out who it was. In the kitchen-
"Angelique, I was talking to those Hanson boys you like, and I noticed that Taylor was watching you serve dinner in there." Kaitlin teased.
"So what? He can look but he can't toutch. I can't even look. You remember the last time I tried something like that. I ended up cleaning the whole house, in case you happened to forget."
"I know. But I can telll he really wants to talk to you-"
"It'd be nice to talk, but I can't."
"What if I arrange to get grandma out of the house and Taylor in the house so you two can talk?"
"I don't think that'll be such a good idea."
"Angelique! Come get these dishes!" Grandma hollered.
"Yes grandma!" I yelled back. I left Kaitlin and gathered up the dishes.
"Wash them too!" She added.
"Okay." I rinsed them and put them in the dishwasher. I leaned back against a counter and heard my stomach growl. I ran to my room and grabbed a couple pills and went back to the kitchen. These pills made you feel like you're full- to not eat anymore. When it comes down to it, I was just too plain scared to eat. Eversince the poisioning ordeal, I haven't been too keen on the idea of eating. I always worried that some kind of drug would be in the food, so I took the pills. I knew it was silly, but I didn't care.
"Angelique! I'm going into town for a while with Kaitlin. I want you to sweep and mop the basement and this level, and vaccume all the carpets. Do you hear me Angelique?" She screeched.
"Yes grandma." I answered, as programmed. The door closed and I started my work by vaccuming the carpets. After that was done, I moved on to the sweeping and mopping. I was running the water in the kitchen, getting ready to mop when I turned around and came face to face with Tay. I jumped, spilling water all over myself.
