Chapter Sixteen
The next morning when I walked into school, everywhere I turned, people were talking about the new song 'No Love's Left'. Everyone was saying how much they liked it and that as soon as school's over, they're all going to go get a copy and see what they look like. I was so happy. Third hour, Lance approached me in a flurry of excitement.
"Have you heard that new song by HO...HO..."
"HOJJA."
"Yeah! 'No Love's Left'? It's the bomb song!"
"That's nice you like it. I like it too. Hey. Can I talk to you later? I desperately need to talk to Brittney."
"Sure. Bye."
"Bye." I left Lance and ran for Brittney. "Brittney! I just got the best idea! What if all of us make a tape or go into the studio and make a thing for them to play before the song. You know- "Hi. We're HOJJA, and you're listening to ______" or whatever station it is. Maybe that'll promote sales. We have to either get another single or make an album."
"You're right."
"Have you heard what everybody's talking about?! Us! HOJJA! 'No Love's Left'! I was soooo close to spilling to Lance!"
"I know. It's all so exciting!" Lunch flew by, and so did the rest of my classes. I got home and collapsed on the nearest chair.
"Wow. What a day." I said aloud. "I remember back when Hanson's 'MMMBop' was the talk of the school." I fixed myself a snack and went to the den to veg out in front of the t.v. I flipped through the channels and decided to watch M.T.V. "Oh my gosh! We have to make a video!" I called Brittney and left a message on her machine to call me back A.S.A.P. Then I left another note on my dad's desk. I sat, watched t.v. and ate, then did my homework. Finally my dad came home. At dinner, I told him about making a video and another single or album. He said that he'd arrange to have a video shot on Saturday of this coming weekend. Since everything was done and taken care of, I decided to go to sleep, and that was one thing I did need to catch up on.
