Chapter Eighteen

At seven o'clock Saturday morning, my dad came and woke me up.
"I think that's your record for all-time longest sleep."
"Ha ha. Everybody knows now?"
"Yeah. They'll all be here a quarter to eight."
"Okay." He left me so I could get ready, then I remembered about the magazine. I found it where my address book had been. I looked over the cover. Hanson still consumed the front, but in a small corner, was a picture of us. The one on the inside of our c.d. cover, so I read the caption- 'Inside- the hot new girl group Hojja!' I turned to the contents page, found the page we were on, and turned to it. There was the cover of our single blown up, taking up the top half of the page. I started to read. "Since these five girls made their debut yesterday, we've been getting an amazing about of mail requesting information about these fabulous five. Listen on radio station KRML 102.6, Atlanta, Georgia for an exclusive interview at eight o'clock on Saturday, March 27th. Keep reading for more information!" Then there was the second cover picture at the bottom. Next to it was a pin-up of us- the picture inside the cover blown up and in color. I tore the page and picture out, put the picture up by my bed, put the article in a folder, and the magazine in an empty drawer of my dresser. I went to my closet, and tried to decide what I was going to wear. I ended up wearing tight black leggings, big slouch socks, tennis shoes and a light long sleeved pale purple shirt. My hair was back in a low pony tail, except the binder was pulled to the end of my hair. I took a curling iron to the few stray whisps of hair. I was ready two minutes before the first person arrived- Mallory. I ran down to answer the door.
"Hi Mallory."
"Hi April. Any body else here yet?"
"Nope. But it's about time they should all be here. Come on in." We sat down on the couch in the living room. I got to sit for a minute, then had to jump up again to answer the door. This time it was Brittney and Megan.
"Hey guys. Now we just need Monica. Mallory's in the living room." I opened the door to look for Monica, and there she was, hand poised to ring the door bell. "Perfect timing. Everybody else is here. I'll get my dad and we can go." I ran downstairs to the studio and found dad. "We're all here. We can go now."
"Okay then. Let's cruise." We went upstairs, got everybody together, and headed downtown to the radio studio.
