Chapter Two

Trigonometry sucked. She wasn't with any of her good friends, which made it worse. So instead of listening to the teacher go over the day's homework, she wrote a note to Travis.

Travis-
Taylor wants to take me out after school
someplace besides Perkins before his
meeting with Chris. So I have to push our
plans back till I get done with Taylor.
After that, I'm good for anything. I like
that idea you had earlier with all the
chocolate and candles. That sounds really
romantic.
He hinted to me that he thinks I'm cheating.
He brought up the whole rumors thing, and I
think he's starting to believe them, about
us. I think I know who's starting them.
Anyway, I'll call you when I'm done with
my afternoon with Taylor Hanson.
Love,
Maiandra <3

The class ended forty five long minutes later, and then there was only one more class left. Then it was time to spend the afternoon with Taylor. That should be interesting. It'd been over a week since they'd spent any time alone with eachother, and it was all his faultr. Well, except for one day. He'd wanted to do something for once, but she told him she had plans with Travis, and she would not break them for him whenever his schedule was convienient for him. That was their second of two fights so far in the three months they've been together. At the beginning, he was great. There all the time, caring, fully attentive all the time, everything. Went out on a lot of dates, all that stuff. But then he changed suddenly. Just one random day, he decides he's going to be busy every single day. So to occupy her time, she started messing around with her good friend Travis, on the side. Taylor just doesn't know about it yet. Maybe he was cheating on her too? That's why he's suddely busy all the time. He's with someone else the way he was with her in the beginning. Hey. That's a thought. She'd have to talk to him about that.
The bell rang, and Maiandra picked up her purse and books, and left the room. Her next class was honors history, with Arista. She's going to have to confront that little rumor mill about the one she started last. Maiandra practically ran to her next class, only handing Travis his note on her way by.
She stood outside the door to her next class, waiting for Arista. Finally after a minute and a half, Maiandra saw Arista coming down the hall, talking to one of her friends. Her friend left Arista for her class. Arista was alone.
