Chapter Thirteen

After Zoe fell back asleep, we decided to play Monopoly. Isaac won. I got up and went in to the kitchen to get something to drink.
"Do you guys want anything?" I asked them.
"I'll have a Dr. Pepper!" Zac said. I handed him a can. He took it, shook it a couple of times, opened it, and drank half of it. Then did his famous talking while burping trick. "Thanks." He burped.
"Nice one Zac." I said. He grinned and said, "Thanks Love. Gotta impress the girl somehow!"
"You're such a charmer Zac." I smiled and laughed. "Anybody else want anything?"
"I guess I'll have one." Tay said.
"Me too." Isaac replied. Zoe cried again.
"I'll be right back. I think I'm gonna bring her down and give her a bottle." I ran upstairs and lifted Zoe out of her crib. As soon as Zoe and I entered the kitchen, Zac, Isaac and Tay yelled "Hi Zoe!" I lifed one of Zoe's hands and waved it.
"Zoe's awake! We can be loud now!" Zac screamed.
"As if Zoe being asleep kept you from being loud anyway." I said. Just then, the garage door opened. We all looked at the door, then the clock, then eachother.
"It's only twelve thirty!" Isaac shouted.
"She's early." Zac said.
"Oh no." Tay groaned. The door burst open and Mackie runs over and clings onto my legs.
"Hey Mackie!" I greeted.
"Hi Love!"
"Did you have fun shopping?"
"Yes."
"What did you get?"
"Can I sit on the counter?" I looked at the boys. They nodded.
"Sure." I picked him up and set him on the counter.
"Look!" He held up a blue plastic Transformer.
"Cool!"
"Hi Love." Jess and Avie called.
"Hi Jess, hi Avery. What'd you get?"
"We got new clothes. Mom? Can we put them on and show Love?"
"Sure." They grab the bags and dashed up the stairs to their rooms.
"Hi Love. We're back early because the kids were tired. You can hang around until two or three if you want."
"Oh. No thanks. I was going to go check out the malls here after I was done sitting."
"Okay. Well, here's your money."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome. You'll have to come and sit again. Come over any time you want." I looked at Tay and he nodded in agreement. Jess and Avie tore down the stairs and stopped in front of me.
"You girls look sooo pretty! I love your dresses!" Avie's was a blue one and Jessie's was purple velvet dress.
"Jess, Avie, what are your favorite colors?"
"Yellow." Avie replied.
"Purple." Jess answered.
"Hey! Mine too! I love purple. I have this beautiful sweater I got at the Gap back where I used to live. It's the most gorgeous sweater in the world. I love it to pieces." I said.
"Can I see it?" Jess asked.
"Well, I'm off duty now, so, maybe if it's okay with your parents, you can come hang out at my house for a while."
"Cool! I'll go ask." She ran into the den to ask her parents.
"Can I come too? I want to see what your room looks like." Avie asked.
"Sure. Why don't you go ask-"
"Can I come too?" Mackie inturrupted.
"Go ask." I sighed. They ran off their sister.
"Can I come too?" Tay asked. He knew I was impatient. Ike and Zac exchanged grins.
"Sure. And once everybody is done, I'm going shopping!"
"I'll drive you." Isaac offered.
"You will?!"
"Sure. I know where all the good malls are."
"Do you have a car?"
"Not my own."
"Can you drive a stick?"
"Yeah."
"Wanna take our convertable?"
"Yeah!"
"Are you coming Zac?" I asked him.
"I'll go see your house, but I'll go shopping with you some other time."
"Alright." Everybody comes running back.
"Well, lets go." Tay said.
"Kay. Tay? After we all go over to my house, and Zac, Jess, Avie and Mackie go home, Isaac's gonna drive me around to a couple of malls in our convertable. Wanna come?"
"Sure."
