Chapter Nine
"Daddy!!!" Lucy screamed. A few seconds later, Zac came out.
"Hey Luce. I'm right here. Be right back." She nodded and played with Dolly.

"What should we do?"
"She's obviously your child, and you can't just leave her." Isaac pointed out.
"One option is Marilynn and Lucy come touring with us." Taylor suggested.
"And the parents are going to like that- how much?"
"Lucy is cute. It's not right to leave her." Isaac repeated.
"We could tour for another week, show up for her birthday party, tour more, and just visit every time we go by." Taylor said.
"Or, the most dramatic, insane, totally stupid idea, is, you quit the band. We're not going to stop touring." Isaac threw out.
"That's not going to happen. I'm not going to quit touring either." Zac retorted.
"A final option that I can think of is you tour for the next two years- till you're eighteen, visiting whenever possible, and when you guys are both eighteen, get married, and then decide what to do, without having to worry about the parents." Taylor said.
"That's it. I'll do that. Let's go tell her."
"No, we'll stay here. You go tell her." Isaac said. Zac sighed.
"Alright." He went back out to the room with Marilynn and Lucy. He went over to Marilynn. "We went over some options. I can see Lucy is our daughter, and I accept that. I just hope my parents can accept that. You're sixteen too, right?"
"Yeah."
"This is the option I liked best. My brothers and I continue touring for a week, and return on Lucy's birthday for her paryt. Afterward, we continue touring, stopping by to visit every time we pass. When we turn eighteen, we get married, not having to worry about parents. What do you think?"
"It's a good idea, but a certain episode of the Simpsons comes to mind, with certain questions. I totally believe in marrying for love. Do we love eachother? Do we want to raise Lucy together if we don't love eachother? You know, now that I think about it- maybe we should marry who ever we want, and I'll just raise Lucy by myself, and we can continue on the way we were. Your parents won't have to know, and Lucy and I won't jeprodize your career. I think that should be the best."
"But-"
"Come on Luce. Lets go home."
"But-"
"Lucy, say bye-bye to daddy. It was nice seeing you again Zac. sorry for all the grief we've caused you." Marilynn took Lucy's hand, practically dragging her out of the room. "Say good bye to Isaac and Taylor for me!" She called half way down the hall.
"Marilynn! Come back!" Zac ran to the door of the room. Marilynn kept going.
"Mommy! What about daddy?"
"Daddy has to stay here."
"Daddy!" Marilynn went back to Lucy.
"Come on Luce. Lets go home. Grandma just made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for you." (Which was true, she had made them for when they got back.) Lucy turned to Marilynn.
"Really?" Her eyes lit up.
"Really. Go home now?"
"Yeah." She let go of Zac and held on to Marilynn's hand again.
