Zac came up center stage with congas, and Isaac brought his acoustic guitar and got everything set up.
"Well guys, I guess there'll be a little change in the set list tonight. We'll start the acoustic set a little early, and we'll start with a song called 'Go'." The crowd cheered as Zac and Isaac counted off together.
They played 'Lucy', 'On The Rocks', and half way through 'Ain't No Sunshine', Taylor rejoined his brothers on stage. He picked up on the piano and harmonies right away.
After the song, when they were talking, introducing the next song, Roxy overheard a girl ask the girl next to her- "Seems like you're here for them, so, what just happened?"
The girl turned towards Roxy on her right and answered, "My educated guess is, is that Taylor, the keyboardist, cheated on his wife this afternoon, so he sang a song about it, and I'm assuming he wans't planning on her hearing the song, and she did, so she found out, and he left to go talk to her, so the last two played acoustically, which they usually do on tour, until Taylor got back. But that whole- him leaving mid set doesn't happen on tour."
"Oh. Thanks."
"Sure." The girls returned to the show, and Roxy mentally agreed that that's what had happened.
For the next couple of songs, Taylor didn't look at Roxy. Only on the last song did he look at her, while they played 'Runaway Run'. After the song, they left the stage to loud cheers, either because of the drama and entertainment, or because people actually liked them. After a minute, they came back out for their encore, so they came up front and center stage, at the edge, and gathered around one mike. The girls from the fan club knew what was going to happen, so they screamed before the rest of the crowd. They sang 'Change In My Life', waved to the crowd and exited the stage for the last time. As the crowd shifted, the fan club members and hardcore fans of the last band moved out of the first couple of rows to make room for the next band's fans, Roxy made her way to the nearest bar. Finding a seat wasn't that difficult since live music was playing. The female server appropached her in the dimly lit bar and asked her about her drink. She ordered a liquid marijuana and watched her server puit her order in. She didn't want any company at the moment, because she wanted to sort out the days events. With a pen found on the floor and the napkins on the table, she doodled as her mind wandered. She hadn't even noticed she'd finished three drinks until she had to go to the bathroom. Standing up, she swayed once, then slowly made her way to the ladies room. Finishing, she studied her reflection in the large, well lit mirror. She touched up her slightly smudged eyeliner with her finger, then noticed the clock above the door. It was almost three in the morning. She turned, thinking she had to get back to her cabin.
With one hand on a railing the whole way, she made it to her room. She gasped when she saw a figure sitting by her door, slumped over. As best she could, she ran, stumbling over nothing every few steps, knowing immediately who it was. Crouching down next to him, she shook him gently while she said his name.
"Tay. Tay." When he stirred, she unlocked her door and opened it wide. "Tay!" She bent down, grabbed hs arm and pulled the best she could. "Tay!" she shouted. He finally woke, and she could tell he'd been drinking too.
"Oh. Roxy! There you are." He slurred. "I was looking for you."
"I'm here, Tay. Let's go in, 'cause I'm drunk too."
"Really? We should have gotten drunk together, then." He stood up, and made his way into her cabin, bumping into things along the way. He managed to fall onto her queen bed on his back. Roxy sat next to him.
"What happened, Tay?" He just smiled.
"Nat wouldn't let me stay in my own cabin. She told me to go sleep with one of my brothers. But I didn't want to. I went to a bar and had a couple drinks, then came here." He pushed himself up onto his elbows. With one hand, he ran his fingers through his hair, then reached for her chin, and held it. "You're bautiful."
"You too."
"Let's do it again."
Roxy laughed. "You're crazy," but she leaned into him for a kiss.
