Chapter Four

He bent down and picked me up. I was finally out of that room. Zac held the doors open while I was carried outside. I leaned my head on the person's shoulder. A huge door sild open, and I was layed down on a cushy seat. The doors slid shut. "It's deffinitely a girl." Zac said. They got me situated in an upright position.
"Look how skinny she is." The other one said. "I'm Tay and this is Zac."
"Hi. I'm Mariah." I wispered.
"Zac. Go get her a glass of water or pop. Just something." Zac climbed out of the van. "You poor thing. You look terrible." He sat back and looked at me with the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen.
"I'm sure I-"
"Shhh. Wait a minute." So I did. Zac came back with a can of Coke.
"The water was taking too long to get cold." He opened the can and handed it to me. I successfully got it half-way, but Tay saw I was struggeling, so he helped me. After a few sips, I was pretty sure I could talk normally again.
"Ahh. Caffeine." Yup. I could talk. Zac and Tay smiled.
"So now that you can talk, who are you?" Tay asked me.
"I'm Lisa's daughter."
"We didn't know she had a daughter." Zac confessed.
"Zac. Go tell dad we're gonna hang out here and write songs and stuff."
"Alrighty- then." And Zac was gone again.
"How long were you down there?"
"I don't know. Since my mom and John got married." I looked into Tay's eyes.
"Hey! Your eyes are changing color!"
"Yeah. Isn't it cool?" I smiled.
"Awesome! Anyway- why are you so skinny? Don't they feed you?"
"No. Only an occasional carrot or so every three days or so? I don't know for sure."
"Oh my god- you're starving to death."
"Basically."
