Chapter Ten
After everybody was home and getting ready for bed, I remembered to call Sam.
"Sam?"
"Madeline! I'm so glad you called! I was starting to worry about you."
"Well, Trey and I went rollerblading and introduced his family to mine. Most of them anyway."
"How'd it go?"
"It was interesting. Trey has one other brother and two younger sisters. Trey's brother Chris, who's fourteen, had Mallory, Elizabeth and Vanessa in a tizzy, because Trey and Chris look a lot alike. So the triplets were flirting with Chris, but Chris didn't pay any attention to them, which made them upset. But Chris was flirting with me, so that made Trey mad. Only me and Chris came home happy."
"Wow. Sounds fun."
"Uh-hu. So, now tell me about this concert thing you were talking about earlier."
"Oh! I almost forgot! Okay-"
"Sam, slow down or I won't be able to understand you." I intrurrupted her. When Sam's excited about something, she starts talking really fast.
"Slow...okay. Amy called me this afternoon, saying that since her brother works at the building where all the concerts are held, he found out that Hanson is coming to concert here, in Miami, Florida. And her brother can get three free front row seats and three back stage passes, if he works as extra security for the concert."
"Who's Amy choosing to go with her?"
"Herself, of course, me, and she wants to know if you'll come too."
"She wants to know IF I'll be going?! She's nuts! She should know by now that I'd say yes!"
"Oh yea! I'm sooo excited!"
"When is it?"
"On Tuesday!"
"This Tuesday?"
"Yes!"
"As in this Tuesday coming up in three days Tuesday!?"
"Yes!!!"
"Oh my God! What're you going to wear Sam?"
"I was thinking of my short shorts that look like a skirt and a tank top with my hair down. How 'bout you Maddy?"
"Well, now that I think about it, I'll wash the top I'm wearing now and wear that with a silver ring belt, and my hair down too."
"What top are you wearing right now?"
"Bikini top- the white one."
"Wow Maddy, you're going to look good."
"I hope so."
"Me too."
"I'm sure you will. You always do."
"Thanks. You always do too."
"Thanks." We laughed a little bit. The call waiting on my phone beeped.
"Sam, can I talk to you later? My other line is beeping."
"Sure."
"Bye Sam."
"Bye." I clicked to the other line. "Hello?"
