Chapter Two

An hour later, we were done. We left the bathrooms and dropped our stuff under the bleachers. Our hair was in a high pony tale, and our make-up and costumes were the same. It was about two in the afternoon, on an unusualy hot August Thursday. Due to the heat, we chose to wear our short cheerleader pleated blue skirts and green tank tops made of sequins. Beeing at a football game, we had to consider the fact that we had to were school colors. We started our music and stretched for half an hour. We marked our dance a few times, then went on the field to get ready to perform. Our song was different from our usual choice of songs. A regular song for us would be a mix of hip hop songs. But this time it was different. During a choreographer's meeting, we were picking out our music with no success. We had been listening to the radio- Al, Andi, me, Abby and Gabby- and heard a song on the radio by this hot new group everybody loved. The song was 'Where's The Love' by Hanson. When it came on the radio, we all unanamously decided then and there that that was the song we wanted. We all helped to choreograph it.
We were introduced by the announcer, so we ran onto the field and got into our first formation. We had to dance on the football field in front of the football players.
