Journal Entry 29

Well, I'm surprised with Hunter. He's made it for three wholw completely unfaithful months with Jessalyn. The three of us hung out more than a few times since I'd visited her that day. At first it was kind of awkward, but after a while things were smooth again. And now that I think about it, I can sit and just watch her while Hunter's there. I mean, yeah, every once in a while I have to say something, but I get to look at her and hold conversations with her. One time, we got onto the topic of music education in public schools, and it was like, it was just her and I. I would even dare to bet Hunter even got up and left to go hit on other girls for a while during our conversation. It was amazing! Every time she comes along, it should be like that. I hate to admit it, but I feel another song coming on.

And I waited for you
And I waited for you

Just a picture and a feeling and a face
How could I forget your touch, your warm embrace
And the shoes you wore with long black satin lace
As you walked into my mind

As we walked into this old forgotten hall
Just one look and I began to fall
Wish I could frame you and this feeling on the wall
To stare at till there is no time, oh
And I waited for you
Just hopin', that you'd come back to me
And I waited for you

Run, run, runaway run
Maybe some day I will find some one to
Run, run, run away
Maybe some day, maybe some day

From a distance watched the flower brush your cheek
As you read the words I wrote I couldn't speak
But now I lay here broken heart and blistered feet
As you're spinnin' 'round my mind, oh
And I waited for you
Just dreaming of you coming to me
And I waited for you

Run, run, run away run
Maybe some day I will find someone to
Run, run, run away
Maybe some day, maybe some day
Maybe some day

When you weep you can know that it's alright
As you sleep I'll just follow your door light
We can talk just as long as you hold on tight
Just one breath is a million sighs
I can tell every breath that you're breathing
I can feel every thought that you're thinking
We can talk till a thousand years go by, you and I

Run, run, run away run
Maybe some day I will find someone to
Run, run, run away
Maybe some day, maybe some day
Run, run, run away run
Maybe some day I will find someone way
Maybe some day
Maybe some day I'll run away, yeah

Wow. That just poured out of nowhere. And I sit, and watch him not pay any attention to her, and he's practically cheating on her right in front of us when we're all out. Brings to mind a song of Zac's, that I'm half tempted to play for Jessalyn, and maybe she'll get the hint. 'Cause I'm thinking that I can't just stand by and let this happen to her. I think that if she knew I knew and didn't tell her, I'd have no shot in hell with her, even though Hunter's one of my best friends, and she has to understand that other stupid guy law...I wonder if I can talk to a friend of hers and have her tell Jessalyn. Yeah. I'll put Zac's song on a disk and send it to her, anonymous, give her a hint. Then I'll go visit her again and see how she's doing. Yeah.

Waiting up all night
Something's on my mind
I need to tell you why
He's playing you for a fool
Fooling round on you
And I just lost my cool
Feeling so sad

Too bad for the running man
'Cause he waits too long
So he can't come back again
Too bad for the running man
'Cause I'm right here waiting
To make that girl forget
Too bad for the running man
Good bye

Life isn't what it seems
Something in a dream
That's not quite what I mean
I need to say good bye
You think I didn't try
I'm not that other guy
I'm feeling so sad

Too bad for the running man
'Cause he waits too long
So he can't come back again
Too bad for the running man
'Cause I'm right here waiting
To help that girl forget
Too bad for the running man
Good bye

Too bad for the running man
'Cause he waits too long
So he can't come back again
Too bad for the running man
'Cause I'm right here waiting
To help that girl forget
Too bad for the running man
Good bye

It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad
It's too bad
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad
It's too bad
