Chapter 14 of Love, Pain and Everything In Between
*2 Months Later*
Colleen locked the bathroom door at school and opened her backback. She pulled out her cell phone and dialed Tay's number. He had paged her during Spanish, and so she was calling him during lunch.
"Hello?" Taylor picked up the phone.
"Hey, you paged?" Colleen asked.
"Hi! Yeah, our plane comes in tomorrow at 9."
"Great!" Colleen said excitedly. "I miss you guys, I haven't seen you in 2 weeks!"
"Yeah, we miss you, too. Can't wait to see you tomorrow. Well, I better go, we were just on a break from practicing."
"Ok, see ya tomorrow! Bye!" Colleen was just about to hit the 'end call' button when Taylor spoke up again.
"I love you! Bye!"
Colleen smiled in sudden surprise. It was the first time Taylor had ever said that to her, although they'd been together for almost 2 months. "I love you, too." she replied. "Bye!" Colleen hung up and put the phone back in her bag. She walked out into the hall and went to find Kari.
"Hey" Kari said as Colleen walked up to her. "Get a call?" She grinned.
Colleen smiled back. "Yup." Kari was the only one who knew about her trip to New York and of her and Tay's relationship. "They're coming this weekend, for the whole weekend, so I figured this would be a good time for you to meet them. Do you want to?"
"Do I want to???? Do I want to???? Man, try and stop me!!! Yeah I want to! Yeah! Man! Wow!"
"Ok, you can shut up now!" Colleen interrupted, laughing. "Well, their plane comes in tomorrow night-tomorrow's Friday, Kari-at 9 so why don't you spend the night at my house and then you can meet them."
"9 AM or PM?"
"PM of course! Why would they come in the morning? I'm at school!"
"Well, you never know... maybe they'll surprise you."
*Next Day*
Colleen looked up at the clock and sighed. It was 10:43, still 7 minutes before science was over. The day was dragging out so long. Or is it just cause today's Friday, and The Guys are coming tonight? Colleen thought, smiling in anticipation. She turned her attention back to the teacher, who was lecturing, and started to copy down the notes on the board, when the door to the room opened and in walked the school's secratary. She pointed to Colleen.
"You have visitors."
Visitors? Ike, Tay and Zac aren't coming till tonight! Who could it be... Colleen's forehead furrowed in conclusion. Then she heard a familiar voice in the hall.
"Pleeeeeeeeeease can we just go in there???"
"ZAC!!" Colleen yelled, jumping up from her chair are racing across the room. She met Zac halfway and hugged him hard, then hugged Ike as he dashed in after his little brother. "What are you guys doing here? I thought you weren't coming till tonight!!"
Ike smiled "I think I better let Tay explain that." He said, stepping aside.
Colleen looked over to the door and met Taylor's eyes as he walked through. He smiled and walked towards her, not stopping until he was inches away. "Surprise." He said, smiling.
The next thing she knew, Colleen was kissing Taylor deeply, arms wrapped around his neck. She felt his tongue run gently over her teeth. Her eyes widened in surprise, then fluttered shut as she opened her mouth slightly to allow his tongue to gently brush hers before she remembered she was standing in the middle of a science room filled with people. She pushed him gently away and turned towards her class. Ike and Zac came over to stand by her, and Taylor wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Um, well, these are some friends of mine, Uh, I didn't think they were coming until tonight, sorry for the interuption." Colleen said to the teacher. He nodded slightly. "Um, this is Zac, this is Ike, and he's Tay." Colleen pointed to Zac and Ike, and put her arm around Taylor's waist. She smiled nervously and glanced over at her friends' astonished faces.
The teacher smiled and walked over to shake the boys' hands. He montioned for Colleen to sit down, then spoke to Ike, Tay and Zac. "Maybe you guys would like to wait in the hall now until class is over." Ike smiled apologeticaly, and Tay and Colleen both turned a rather bright shade of red. Zac nodded and walked out the door. Ike followed Zac, and Taylor reluctantly let go of Colleen and followed his brothers.
Colleen watched then leave, then turned to her teacher. "I really am sorry, I didn't think they were coming till tonight and I certainly didn't expect them to come in to a class."
The teacher smiled. "Well, I was almost done anyway, and I suspect some in here were perfectly happy for the interupption." He looked in the direction of a few of the students who had been sleeping and goofing off, then cleared his throat and spoke more loudly. "That's the end of the lecture, homework tonight is finish chapter 17, and do the review by Monday."
Colleen quickly gathered her stuff and rushed out into the hall. She was immediatley caught up in Taylor's arms. She laughesd and hugged him back. "I still have one more class, and then we can go out to lunch, okay?"
"Sure." Was the collective response.
"But first I want you guys to meet my friend, Kari." Colleen led the guys down the hall to Kari's locker. "She should be getting out of class about now." Colleen spotted Kari walking down the hall and waved to her. Kari's eyes widened when she saw who was standing with Colleen.
"Hi!" She said to Hanson, smiling. She turned to Colleen. "I told you so!" Then she turned back to the band. "I told her you guys would surprise her and come early! But did she believe me? No."
"Well, that's cause we sent you a phsycic message!" Zac said. "We wanted SOMEone to know of our secret evil plans, in case anything happened to us!"
Colleen and Kari laughed. "Well," Colleen said. "Guys, this is Kari, Kari, you know them."
"Nice to meet you." Said Ike with a smile.
"How ya doin?" Asked Tay.
"Why aren't you hyperventilating??? Don't you know who we are???" Zac yelled. "Hey ow!!" He added as Ike smacked him on the head.
"Zac!" Colleen and Taylor yelled at the same time. The whole group started laughing. "Okay," Colleen said, turning to Kari. "We're gonna go out to lunch, you wanna come?"
"Yeah, sure! Now?"
"No, you ditz, at lunchtime!" Colleen laughed. "You have to call your mom and ask, though. Otherwise they'll never let you off school grounds."
"Yeah, I better. Bye, guys!" Kari ran off to phone her mom before next hour started.
"I better get to class, guys. Don't get into any trouble! Just sit here and wait for me, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Zac said, sticking his tongue out at Colleen.
"Hey, how did you guys get here?" Colleen asked.
"We, madam, hired a taxicab!" Zac said in a haughty English accent.
"Okay, whatever. See ya!" Colleen's next class seemed endless. She deliberately sat away from the questioning eyes of her friends and rushed out as soon as they were dismissed. She ran to get Zac before he broke anything. She found them all sitting right were she had left them, talking innocently to Kari.
"She said it was ok." Kari said, looking up as Colleen approached.
"Great! Let's go." Colleen said, leading the way out the doors of school to the waiting Taxi.
