Chapter 15 of Love, Pain and Everything In Between
Colleen pulled the remote control out of Zac's hand and changed the channel back to MTV.
"C'mon, Zac, we want to see if you guys made it on Total Request!"
"Oh, ok, soooo sorry." Zac got up and walked to the TV, sticking his face right up to the screen. "I'm looking, but I can't see us anywhere. Maybe 'cause we're HERE. Now can we pleeease turn it back to Hercules? Please please please please please- hey ow!" Zac picked up the pillow Ike had hurled at him. He sat down on the floor and threw it back at Ike.
"Bad aim, Zac!" Taylor said, ducking as the pillow flew over his head.
Colleen, Taylor, Ike, Zac and Kari were sitting in Colleen's living room, watching Total Request. Taylor and Colleen were curled up on the couch, Ike and Kari were sitting in chairs, and Zac was now on the floor.
Taylor got up and picked up the pillow. He tossed it back to Zac. "Try again, dude." He sat back down and hugged Colleen close to him.
"Hey!" Ike protested. "You're not supposed to give him a second chance!"
Taylor grinned. "Hey, he deserves one. Besides, it's not like he'll actually hit you. Zac throw like a, a, a-" Taylor looked around at the two girls in the room, who were now watching him closely. "-a really old person." He finished with a grin.
Zac smiled evilly at Ike and stuck his tongue out at Tay. He walked up to Ike and smacked him on the head with the pillow.
"Hey he meant throw it!" Ike grabbed the pillow and looked over in Taylor's direction, raising his arm.
"Don't even think about it!" Taylor grinned. "I have a bodyguard, and she can kick your ass!" He pulled Colleen onto his lap and tried to hide behind her.
Ike laughed as Colleen's eyebrows rose and she motioned for Ike to toss her the pillow. She caught it, turned and started pummeling Taylor with it. "So THAT'S all I'm good for, huh?" she grinned. "Serving as a pillow shield and beating up your brothers for you?"
"Ow! Hey!" Taylor protested, laughing. He grabbed the pillow and threw it across the room. "No, you're good for this, too." He leaned close and gave her a deep kiss.
"Hey lover people break it up, we're on." Zac threw the pillow at Colleen and Taylor and motioned to the TV.
"Wow, cool, 1st place!" Kari said, turning up the volume. "Way to go, guys!"
"Thank you, Thank you." Ike stood up and bowed.
"YEAH we're the best!" shouted Zac. "Weehee, we did it!" He started running around the room. "We're number 1! We're number 1!" He chanted, jumping over the back of the couch and skidding to a halt beside the TV to watch the rest of weird. "Ok, now can we pleeease watch a movie???" he asked, turning around.
"Yeah, what do you want to watch?" Colleen asked.
"Um, um...this one!" Zac said, holding up Colleen's copy of Tulsa, Tokyo and the Middle Of Nowhere.
"Yeah!" Ike and Taylor chorused.
"What?" Kari asked in disbelief. "Why would you want to watch your own movie?"
"Because we've never seen it!" Zac said with a grin, pushing the movie into the VCR.
"Yeah, whatever." Colleen said, shrugging. "I don't believe you, but I don't mind watching it again." She grinned, poking Taylor in the ribs. "Do you mind, Kari?"
"No, as long as Tay'll do his English accent for us after!"
"It's a deal!" Taylor said, pushing the play button on the remote.
*1 hour and 1/2 Later*
"Wow, I am SO funny!" Zac remarked with a grin, stopping the movie.
"Shhh" Ike whispered, pointing to Taylor and Colleen, asleep on the couch.
"Well, I guess that cancels out the English accent." Zac said with a grin to Kari.
"C'mon, Zac, I challenge you to a game or Laser Quest on the computer!" Ike said, standing up and running up the stairs.
"You're ON!" Zac shouted. "C'mon, you can watch!" Zac grabbed Kari's hand and pulled her up out of the chair and upstairs.
*A Few Minutes Later*
Taylor woke up and looked down at Colleen, asleep in his arms, leaning up against his chest. She's so beautiful. He thought. I wish I could see her more. I wonder if she'll be allowed to come on the tour with us... Taylor decided to ask his parents about the possibility. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her nose softly.
Colleen woke up and smile at him. She kissed him softly on the lips. "Wow, I can't believe I fell asleep." she said, yawning. "Must've been a boring movie!"
"Haha" Taylor said, sticking his tongue out at her.
"I mean, God, you fell asleep, too! It' must've been just AWFUL!"
"Oh, really?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah, really" Colleen grinned.
"You insluted my movie." Taylor said, making his voice and face deadly serious. "Now you will pay!" He started to tickle her.
Colleen shrieked with laughter and tried to squirm away. "Tay! Stop it!" She said, gasping for air. "You KNOW how ticklish I am! I'll scream!!"
Taylor simply put his mouth over hers to prevent her from screaming. She felt his tongue gently brush hers then draw away. She reached her hands behind his neck and pressed herself closer to him, kissing him deeply. Wow, so this is what making out it like, She thought with a laugh. Wait'll I tell the girls out school.. That thought made her sit up suddenly and draw back. She remembered that her friends were now totally pissed at her. She sighed and leaned against Taylor, putting her head on his chest.
"What's wrong?" He asked. "Did I do something...?"
"No, I just am worried about how they'll react, you know, at school."
"Ohhh..." Taylor said.
"They'll probably be mad."
"Probably. But maybe you should just let them work through it. If you didn't want to tell them, then they should accept and respect your privacy."
"Yeah, they should. I hope they will." She smiled up at Taylor. "C'mon, I think Ike, Zac and Kari are upstairs. Let's go see what desruction Zac has done so far."
They walked upstairs and into Colleen's room, where Ike and Zac were playing Laser Quest and Kari looked on, alternatively cheering both of them on.
"Who's winning?" Colleen asked, pulling Taylor into the room behind her.
"ME, cause I RULE!" Zac grinned, not looking up from his game.
"I play winner!" Taylor called, leaning close to the screen to see who had the most points.
Colleen looked around and smiled. I don't care what they say or how mad they get. She thought. I have Taylor, and 3 other great friends that I know'll always be here for me. She laughed and accepted Kari's challenge to a game, and grabbed the control, ready to play a tough game.
