GENERAL INTEREST:
(A) How did this list begin?
This list began because I am a wife of a 100% service connected disabled veteran.
My husband served during the Vietnam War. My father served in Korea during the Korean War. I wanted a place for the Korean War Era Vets to go and share, chat, visit, meet and renew old friendships with each other. I also have an email list called VetWives, which is set up for any family member or friend of Veterans. For more information on this list you can go to VetWives Homepage.
(B) Who maintains this list and where can I ask questions?
This list is maintained by Shirley Watkins. If you have any questions or are having
trouble subbing or unsubbing or would just like to talk with me please feel free to
email me at shirljo@texhoma.net. shirljo@aol.com
RULES:
If our information flow follows topical "threads," which should be listed in the
"subject" block of the message, communication and comment will remain easy for
all to follow, add to, or question.
Please be a gracious KWVets subscriber. If you are going to be away from your
email for several days, please unsubscribe as this will prevent technical problems
resulting from a subscriber's filled, unattended, mailbox re-circulating posts. Save
these instructions for future reference when you want to unsubscribe or subscribe
to the list after leaving.
Please remember the words posted to this list may be read by men, women,
children, family members, parents, and others. Therefore, we want constructive
comment as opposed to destructive. The purpose of the list is to share our
experiences together. Flames will not be tolerated, nor will bad language. If you
can't say something nice don't say nuthin at all! If you don't like what a poster does
or says please don't fill up the list. Usually if you just sit a while and think about it
and then walk away for awhile you will usually change your mind about posting a
flame. Also in these cases try posting private email directly to that person and
working it out between yourselves instead of bringing it to the whole list. Please
everyone try and get along and do our best to help each other out.
If you do not feel that you will be able to adhere to the above rules then maybe this
isn't the list for you!
