"No, No, No!, if you use those lyrics, you'll never make it!"I replied. Taylor Hanson was my best friend. He was always trying to write songs. Me and five of my fiends were in a band called "FlyGirls,"and Taylor was jealous. We had just made our major album debut with Mercury Records, and I felt kind of bad for Taylor and his brothers, Ike and Zac. They had been trying to make music for years, and you had to admit they were pretty good. We both had submitted our demo tapes to Mercury Records at the same time, but unfortunately, theirs had gotten rejected.
I was over at Taylor's house that day trying to help him write new songs. Then suddenly, the phone rang. We both jumped!
"Hello?"asked Taylor.
"Hey Taylor, it's Morgan, where the hell is Gwen? Is she over at your house again?"
"Yeah babe she's helping me write some new songs,"joked Taylor.
"Cool! Need any help?"asked Morgan.
"Sure, come on over."replied Taylor. They both said their good byes and hung up. Morgan was part of our band. The other five were (me of course), Claire, Vanessa, Dominique, and Christen. We were all neighbors. The Hansons' lived next door to me, with Morgan on the other side of them. Claire lived on the other side of me, and Christen, Vanessa, and Dominique lived across the street. It was helpful to have the Hansons' living next door, because they helped us get gigs.
"There's so many relationships in this life, only one or two will last...." I sang to Taylor.
"What do ya think?" I asked him with a puzzled look on my face.
"Why don't you ever call me Tay?" Taylor asked as he scooted closer to me on the blue sofa. It was so quiet then, we could hear each other breathing. But then, the doorbell rang, shattering the silence. It was Morgan.
