I woke up with a jolt. I glanced at the red digits on my clock. 2:00 am. Everything was dark. I thought about Dominique. I wondered if she would even show up at the mall. I hoped so. We needed to talk. She didn’t even know about the new song. Claire had called me the night before, she was still at the river, and wouldn’t be able to make it to our preformance at the mall. Taylor would sing her part. In fact, that’s why I couldn’t sleep. I knew that Tay had said that he only luved me, which was comforting, but still it made me wonder about the concert. After a few more hours of thinking, I looked at the clock again. 6:00 am. Time to get up.

Phones were ringing off the hook. I wasn’t even dressed yet. Vanessa and Morgan were over and we couldn’t decide what to wear. Finally, I pulled on a tank top and some Dickies jeans. I left the house without eating my pop tart, or saying goodbye to my family. When I got to the mall, Dominique and Ike were flirting! Then Dominique came up to me and asked,”So, what do you think?” I told her exactly what I thought. Then, I asked her,”What happened to you liking Taylor?”
“Well, he’s not really my type,”she replied. Then she paused and added,”And I knew that you two liked eachother, Gwen.” I smiled, and we walked backstage, talking about Ike and how romantic he was. Suddenly, Zac jumped up onto my back and put his arms around my neck.
“Ready?”he asked, and jumped down. Before I could answer, Tay came up behind me along with Ike. Taylor pulled me to the side.
“Is everything all right?” he asked me with a concerned look on his face.
“Yeah,” I replied, “She likes Ike now.”
Then he asked,”Do you know what will happen if Tulsa likes our new song?” Before I could reply, he continued,”We’ll start to get popular, and we’ll do tours and concerts in other countries.”
“But, Tay, the FlyGirls only toured once in the UK,”I protested. He could see the worried look on my face. He drew his body closer to mine and kissed my lips.
“No matter what happens out there, we’ll always be together,”Tay whispered in my ear. Then we walked hand in hand out to the stage.
