So you think you've found your Path
Lesson 2
Is you're path Medicine Path, Christian Path, Wiccan, The Craft, or other?
It really makes no difference as long as it is the path meant for you and
you are dedicated to that path. The key here is that you must choose your
own path without any pressure from outside influence, (parents, friends, or
well meaning others). The second key is that you must be true to yourself,
you're path, and you're Creator. You're oaths to those within your path along
with family come next.
On the Native Path it is important to follow your path, but it is equally as
important to not empower a fantasy. Often times it happens that a newcomer to
Native path seeks so hard that what is experienced is nothing more than a
fantasy. To give power to these fantasies is to fall short of truth and lose
your way. This can lead to rather poor decision making.
On any path, regardless of what it may be, remember the traditions of respect
and ceremony. Hold true that which is in your heart and on your path. If the heart
lies, and it will from time to time, turn to your path and the traditions of
the ancestors. Seek out the answers through the teachings of our relations.
Be not only true to your path and the oaths that you have chosen to take, but
do so without limititaion. When respect of tradition and the teacher is dismissed
or belittled, you dishonor the spirits of all our relations, yourself, and all
others. -Grey Bear
