~*Chapter 2*~

*~A few weeks later*~

Alyssa was up in her room packing, with Taylor and Zac helping her. Ike had been out with his friends that night, even though Diana warned him to be home at 10, they all knew he wouldn't be home until 1, because Ike tended not to pay much attention to the time, and got carried away with how much fun he was having.

The next day Alyssa skipped over the Hanson's house at 7:30 the next morning, with her bags. She knocked on the front door. Ike answered.

"Hey, Ike!" You ready to go?" Alyssa asked happily.

"How on earth can you be so cheery this early in the morning?" He asked.

"I'm just excited that we're leaving for LA today!"

"Yeah, we're leaving in a half an hour." Ike said unenthusiastically.

"All right." Alyssa replied awfully excited. She walked into the kitchen, where Jessie and Avie were eating breakfast, while Walker read the paper. Walker looked up.

"Hello, Alyssa. How are you?"

"Just great. I'm really excited."

"Yep, so are these two," he said pointing to Jessica and Avery. "I hope you can stand sharing a room with them!" Walker joked. Jessie and Avie looked at Alyssa innocently. She laughed. She knew what troublemakers they could be. "Taylor and the other boys are in their room. You can go see what they're up to."

"Okay," Alyssa walked down the hall to the room that Isaac, Taylor, and Zac shared. On her way down the hall she noticed Diana and Mackie packing in Walker and Diana's room.

"Hi Diana! Hi Mackie!"

"Hello, dear! Are you all packed and ready to go?"

"Yep! I'm really, really excited!"

"That's great! Can you go tell the boys to hurry up? We want to get going."

"That's where I was going." She continued down the hall to the boys' room. She could hear Alanis Morissette playing. She knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" she heard Tay ask, as his voice cracked.

"It's me, Alyssa." She answered.

"Come on in. Hey, y'all set?" Tay asked.

"Yep! Oh, your mom told me she wants you guys to hurry up."

"Well," Ike started "I'm all packed. Zac? Are you?"

"Yeah."

"Tay?"

"What? I wasn't listening," Taylor said snapping out of his gaze.

"Are you packed, yet?" Ike slowly spelled out for him. Alyssa just adored Ike; after all, he was a sweet, sensitive, funny, adorable, caring guy. He also gave great advice, but he could get a little cranky in the morning. Ike was definitely NOT a morning person.

"Oh! No, I'm not quite finished, yet."

"All right, well hurry," he told Taylor. "Alyssa, Zac let's go put our stuff in the van." Ike suggested, and Tay watched them exit. Tay had been thinking. He and Alyssa had been friends for all of their 13 years, and always got along very well and did everything together, well, with his brothers. Taylor realized that he wanted something more. He'd been thinking about Alyssa more and more lately. He decided to ask Ike for advice on what to do, just as he usually did. "I really hope she likes me" Tay thought to himself, as he grabbed the working CD player off of his dresser, along with his Aerosmith, En Vouge, Wallflowers, Sheryl Crow and No Doubt CD's, and he rushed down to the garage, threw his bags in the big white van.
