~*Chapter 3*~

Taylor climbed into the van, beside Alyssa, who was next to Ike, who was sitting next to Zac, who was sitting behind Jessica. Tay smiled at Alyssa. "You ready?" he asked her. "Yep! This is going to be so much fun! He flashed her an award-winning smile. She was grateful to have such a great friend. As they pulled out of the driveway, Zac mischievously pulled a rubber band out from his pocket. He slowly pulled it back and flung it in the direction of Jessica.

"OW! Mo-om," Jessica whined, "Zac is flicking me with that stupid rubber band again!"

"Zachary Walker! Put that rubber band away right now, and stop bothering your sister!"

"But mom, I didn't do it!" he lied. His mother gave him a 'look' and he shoved the rubber band back into his pocket, with a pout, mad at Jessica for spoiling his fun. The rest of the car ride they rode in silence, Taylor wondering if he should ask Alyssa out, Zac pouting, Isaac reading a totally stellar book, and Alyssa flipping through a fashion magazine.

When they arrived at the airport, the three younger kids jumped out excitedly, while the other four followed. Zac started jumping up and down, and acting completely ridiculous. The other people in the parking lot looked at him, as if he was some sort of freak of nature. He didn't care. The whole family, plus Alyssa walked into the airport. Their plane would be leaving in a half an hour. They checked in their luggage and made their way through security. Walker and Diana settled the younger children in seats, while Diana read Mackenzie a story, Walker read a newspaper, and Jessica and Avery played with their Barbies. Alyssa, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac decided to look around. They walked into a gift shop. Ike and Zac went to look at some plastic snakes and spiders, while Alyssa checked out the magazines. A jewelry rack caught Taylor's eye. He walked over to it. He saw a necklace that had 'Yours forever' engraved on it. He decided to give it to Alyssa, that is if he asked her out, and she said 'yes.' He grabbed it, paid for it and shoved it in his pocket, before anyone would see what he'd bought.

"Come on you guys. Let's go." Taylor said impatiently.

"Hold on Tay, I want to get this snake." Ike replied.

"Yeah, I'll bet we could play some really good pranks on Jessie and Avie with this." Zac added.

"Fine. Hurry up and get it, and let's get out of here." He replied. "Alyssa, you ready?"

"Yeah." She walked over to him, while Ike and Zac paid for the plastic snake.

The four of them walked out of the gift shop and back to the boarding area.

"Flight to LA, now boarding" the announcer said. They all grabbed their carry-on bags and grabbed their tickets and handed them to the lady. Zac excitedly ran ahead.

"I get to sit by the window!" Zac exclaimed. No one argued with this. They all knew better than to argue with Zac. They knew he would throw a hissy fit if he didn't get his way. Alyssa sat down next to Zac, with Taylor on her other side. Poor Ike had to sit in front of them with Jessica and Avery.

"Thanks a lot you guys! Now the whole way to LA I'll have to hear about which Barbie likes Ken more!" Ike exclaimed.

"HaHa!" Zac laughed at his older brother. The plane started to move down the runway. "Yee-haw" Zac shouted.

"I absolutely despise plane rides," Taylor said to Alyssa. "They make me feel like I want to throw up."

"Well don't throw up on me!" Alyssa joked. Little did Taylor know that during the next year he would be taking many plane trips.
