An Angel is Watching over US...... Holly Lea Nelson, recently made her Ultimate journey to Heaven on Feb. 20th. Holly was fifteen when she took the car without permission and picked up her boyfriend from the Sioux City airport. On their way home, she accidently drove into on coming highway traffic. They were hit almost head on by a semi pulling scrap metal. Thank God, Holly's boyfriend Ben, survived with minimal injuries to his knees. Holly fought for her life for seven long days. At this time we were able to tell her how beautiful she was and that we loved her very much. She was able to wear the heart shaped diamond ring Ben had bought for her on Valentine's Day as well. We thank "God" for those seven long days, they are very precious monents for us. One needs to realize they are responsible for their actions and sometimes we don't get second chances in life, driving is a serious matter. Holly always believed in giving a person a second chance in life, even if she couldn't live. She was a strong believer in Organ and Tissue Donation. This is something that always has been discussed in our home. I"m so proud my daughter made the choice to be an Organ and Tissue Donor. Sometimes we're not only giving a person a second chance in life, but also at Salvation. Shouldn't we all consider becoming Organ and Tissue Donors as well? Holly's Heart will Truly live on.... God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
Ben gave Holly a dozen red roses when, she picked him
up at the airport, along with two small packages
wrapped in tiny red hearts for Valentines Day. My
brother suggested we unwrap these gifts from Ben, as
we knew Holly wasn't going to be with us much longer.
Inside these beautifully wrapped packages was a bottle
of Hugo perfume and a Heart shaped diamond ring. At
this time, Holly was able to wear the ring which Ben
had given her and we sprayed the Hugo perfume so she
could smell it. Heather, Holly's oldest sister, wears
Holly's ring in her sisters memory and the bottle of
Hugo perfume sits on her youngest sisters bedroom dresser,
