I started to feel the tears
Falling from my eyes
When I talked to you last night.
I called to see how you were
When you said those fearful words
"I just want to be friends."
You didn't want to lead me on
Which you had already done
You just wanted to be my friend.
I started to finally let myself
Believe I wanted to be with you
I felt we had something special going on
I wanted to believe
That you wanted me
Just me
With a passionate kiss
My heart skipped the beat
And hurt one last time
I finally realized it was over
I gave you my heart
You gave it back to me
I know you still have feelings
We just have to say goodbye now
We will remember forever
Those feelings we had
It will never leave
And we will always be just friends.

As I lie on my bed
I think about you
I wonder what you are doing
and what you are feeling
I think about last night
The feelings we shared
The words we spoke
and the kiss that seemed to last forever
I gaze at the wall
Somehow I see your face
Everywhere I look I see it someplace
I don't think your image will be erased
I never thought I would be with you
Everytime I saw you, you only said Hi
I dreamed about your face
and being held in your tight embrace
Kiss after kiss
Word after word
You were my only thought in the world
A thought sealed with your warm lips
You said, "I was all you ever needed"
You spoke softly and I listened
Being careful to hid my true feelings
Not wanting my heart in a million peices
I left last night
With a tiny tear in my eye
When we said good-bye
It was a pain of the last forever good-bye
That tiny tear
Became a stream
That poured like a river
Down my face
So as I lay here tonight
Hiding those tears
I wonder what you are feeling
and what you are doing
