"Mom!!! Where's my Midol?!" " Honey, don't yell, I don't know, you were the one that last had it." Felicity Summers panicked, she couldn't find her Midol and she was having cramps from hell. "Well mom, I think I'm gonna need them before I go to Tulsa, do you think you could run to the corner store and pick me up some, pleeeeeeeeease?" " Felicity, you have a bike, you have feet, go there yourself, I'm busy with the store's bills, and I need to have them done before I drop you off at the airport." "Bitch" Felicity muttered under her breath. She wasn't lazy, she just had horrible cramps and didn't feel like walking into the corner store to buy cramp medicine when she knew Kevan would be there at the register, waiting to laugh at her female "problems", as he called them. Felicity had had a crush on Kevan for the last few months, but she still got disgusted at his hygiene. He always looked as if he'd never taken a shower in at least a week, and his jeans had huge holes in the knees, but he was the most gorgeous bleach-blondie with a nose-ring she had ever seen once she looked past his flaws. I'll just buy some at the airport she thought to herself. She was going up to Tulsa to visit her aunt Brandy, who she hadn't seen for at least a year or two. When Brandy used to live in Seattle with Felicity and her mom, Felicity saw her almost every week. Now that she had moved away, she barely ever heard from her and never saw her. Felicity heard that she lived in a old cabin on the outskirts of town. Brandy shared it with 4 other people because it was 2 stories of you didn't count the attic(the only room with air-conditioning) and the basement(which had 3 bedrooms). Brandy had agreed on letting Felicity sleep in the attic room, which they used as kind of a living room, but since the other roommates were in Mexico for 2 months, Brandy and Felicity would have the house to themselves. "FELICITY!" her mother Susan, broke her deep thoughtful moment with a shriek in her face. "huh?what!?" Felicity shot back, she was still angry at her mom about the Midol incident. "It's 11:20! Your flight leaves in 20 minutes, let's go!" Oh shit,Felicity thought as she grabbed her old green Jansport backpack and her big black suitcase. Both of the women scurried to the car, hopped in and sped the whole way to the airport. When they got there, there was still 13 minutes left exactly, good Felicity though just enough time. As they passed through baggage check, Felicity noticed a girl staring at her from across the metal detector. Weirdo she thought to herself. Felicity gave the girl a disgusted look and walked off to the gate, nose in the air and all. As Susan kissed Felicity good-bye on the cheek, she heard the announcement, last call for American Airlines flight 946 to Denver. "Gotta go mom, see ya in a couple months!" "OK, sweetheart, call me!." Susan smiled as she watch her little 13 year-old girl wander off looking for her gate. Felicity finally found her gate but to her surprise, there was no plane. She walked up to the ticket desk and asked "Excuse me miss, but is this where flight 946 is?" "Sorry sweetie, it left a few minutes ago." "But that was my flight, is there another plane going to Denver today?" "Actually, you're in luck, in an hour there will be another flight here at this gate. Just stay here and give me your tickets, I'll be right back with your new ones." "OK" Felicity said unassured. She watched as the woman walked off and entered a small office. About 5 minutes later, she returned with new tickets. "Since I saw that your final destination was Tulsa, we found a flight that is going directly there in three hours, is that OK?" "Um, yeah, that's fine, where's a phone around here?" she asked "Right around the corner by the food court." "Thank you" Felicity said with a fake smile, this whole situation was nothing to be smiling about. She walked to the phone and dug through her backpack, finding the little scrap of paper that Brandy's number was written on. She then dialed the operator and made a collect call. "Hello?" said Brandy as she picked up the line "Hi, it's me Felicity" "Oh hi honey, are you OK, did you make it on your flight alright?" "Um, actually, no, I missed it, but there's another plane leaving directly for Tulsa in about two hours and forty-five minutes." "So when will you be here?" asked Brandy "Well, I'm guessing since, I'll be flying off at three, and it takes around five hours to get there, and there's a two hour time difference, well, I'll be there around ten tonight. Just be at the airport at ten and look at the little TV thing that tells you when I'll be there, I'll be at gate 23, flight 539 from Seattle, OK?" "Yeah, that's good" Brandy said cheerfully, like always "Alright, then I'll see you tonight" "OK" "I love you" "Love you too honey, bye" "Bye". Felicity hung up the phone and looked around. Well, I have two and a half hours to blow, what can I do? She wandered over to the magazine stand and picked up a copy of Seventeen. Looks interesting enough, well it'll be something to do for the next hourShe thought to herself, kind of laughing too. Felicity wasn't the kind to buy pointless magazines like Seventeen or YM and definitely not Bop or Teen Beat, those were absolutely silly. She purchased the magazine along with a Coke,to feed her caffeine addiction, some Pamprin that she finally found, and a bag of Skittles, then wandered back over to her gate. She started flipping through it and found it actually interesting, besides the fashion tips, which she totally didn't agree on because they had dissed her baggy jeans. Baggy jeans was all she wore, well besides her one pair of shorts that she only wore on the hottest of days. And showing off her legs was not one of her favorite pastimes either. Felicity wasn't fat(even though she thought she was) she actually pretty average, whatever average is. She weighed around 135 lbs. and was about 5'4''. Not model material, but she was better looking than she thought she was. It's sad how hard teens are on themselves these days... She had long brown hair that she always had up in chop-sticks,brown eyes, and a beautiful smile which people complimented her on all the time, but she was shy, and tried not to smile at all around them after that because she found it embarrassing. She glanced at her vintage Cinderella watch and saw she still had an hour and forty-five minutes left. She glanced around the gate area and noticed that a few people had showed up since she had dove into her magazine. An elderly lady with glasses as thick as Coke bottles and as big as a Coke bottle was doing a crossword puzzle and trying to find a comfortable position to sit in. There was also a man who looked like he was in his early 20's and was pretty cute. He had dark brown hair and from what she could she the most beautiful green eyes. He caught her staring at him, smiled and looked down. Embarrassed, Felicity looked back down at the already read magazine and pretended like she was reading it with interest. She decided on not looking back up for awhile. She got up and walked to the bathroom to, well, fix her *female problems*, and as she was leaving saw another magazine stand. She walked over to it to find a YM, Teen, and a Twist magazine that looked interesting and decided to buy these instead of risking another look from green-eye boy. She pulled out her twenty dollar bill and received $9.17 back, the last of her money. Airports sure do over price stuff she thought. She walked back to her chair, glancing at green-eye boy briefly, only to find he had disappeared Probably frightened him off "ugly" she said to herself. She had gone through Twist and Teen and was in the middle of YM, when they finally started boarding people. She had boarding pass number 3, since she had been one of the first people there, and got to settle into her not-so-comfy first class seat. I though these stupid seats were supposed to be comfortable she negatively thought to herself. It wasn't until the plane had started backing out onto the runway, that she noticed the same girl that had been staring at her, sitting right across the aisle. The girl saw her and looked back at the airplane brochure that told you what to do in case of an emergency. When the plane was finally in the air and the seatbelt sign was turned off, the girl from across the aisle decided to make herself comfortable right next to Felicity "Hi, my name is Reagan" she said in a quiet voice.
