"Taylor's a cutie isn't he?" Brandy asked Felicity as they walked up and down the aisles of the local grocery store. Felicity grabbed a can of Pringles, "Yeah he's OK, he looks a lot like this guy in Seattle named Kevan, same features, same hair, Taylor doesn't have a nose-ring though." Felicity said dreamily. "What's up with you and nose-rings?!" asked Brandy laughing to herself. "I don't know, I find them incredibly sexy..." Felicity said with some trace of romance in her voice. "Do you like that Kevan boy?" Brandy asked as she almost ran into a crying, petrified little boy who looked about 5. "Brandy, watch out!" Felicity cried almost too late. Brandy noticed her mistake and swerved the cart a little to the left and passed the boy saying "I'm sorry sweetie." "Well....do you?" Brandy asked "Do I what? Oh yeah, I like him, he probably doesn't have the best reputation at school, but come on, when you look that good, how can you not get all the girls??" Brandy laughed at her love-struck niece. "Do you like veggie burgers? I don't eat meat anymore, have you even ever had any?" Brandy asked "No, I'd rather stick to being a flesh-eating *normal* 13 year- old." Felicity said joking "Well, I'm gonna make some tonight, and you have to try it, but if you don't like it, I'll buy you some fish sticks or something" Brandy said as Felicity gave her a look of disgust. "What?! They're good! You'll see, maybe I can get you to start eating better." "I guess I should be eating better, I mean look at this," Felicity said grabbing a hunk of stomach fat," I wish sometimes I could just cut this all off, it makes me sick!" "Felicity! You're growing! Every teenager grows and when you go through puberty, you grow taller and you fat will even out and go into the right places. Anyways, I'd kill to have a body like yours, you have what guys like, curves." "I hate that word!!! I feel fat when I hear that word, I feel like someone describing a plus-size model, *curvy*, blah! hate it!" Brandy was almost in hysterics watching the faces Felicity made while she complained about herself. Brandy thought Felicity looked beautiful, she had big hips, big butt, nice legs, beautiful waist and probably wore a 34B, everything Brandy had always wanted. Felicity probably doesn't realize guys like girl who aren't stick-thin like Kate Moss Brandy thought. "Well, I go to a gym about three or four times a week if you'd like to go along with me." Brandy said "Ha! maybe I'll go with you once or twice a week, but if you think you're gonna get me up at seven in the morning to go walk a treadmill, you must be smoking crack or something." Felicity said smiling. "Well, just know the opportunity is there for you. "Hey go grab a container of vanilla ice-cream, some chocolate syrup, some nuts and whatever candy you like to top you're sundae's with. Tonight we're having a movie and ice-cream night. We'll stop by Blockbuster on the way home, OK?" Brandy said "Alright, I'll meet you in line." Felicity said as she briskly walked to the ice cream aisle, and then to the other aisles to get the rest of the food. She hated walking around with a lot of junk food, she felt like everyone was staring at her thinking she was a pig. She found Brandy in checkout aisle 3, and dumped everything on the counter right as Brandy finished unloading everything else. "Ohhh, M&M's.....and Snickers?" "Yeah, you break the Snickers up and throw 'em in there, it's yummy, you'll see. If I've gotta eat those veggie burgers, you have to eat some ice-cream with Snickers in it." Felicity said eyeing everything being checked- out. She liked vegetables, but come-on, sprouts? yuck she thought. As Brandy and Felicity loaded the car up with all of the groceries, Felicity spotted Diana and Mackie getting out of their blue Ford Windstar. "Hey! Diana!" Felicity yelled across the parking lot. Diana looked up suprised, noticed Felicity waving her arms in the air, smiled at the silly girl, and picked up Mackie and started walking over to talk to her and Brandy. "Hey girl, you sure are loud" Diana said smiling. Felicity couldn't help but smile back, Diana's smile was contagious, she was always smiling. "I knew cheerleading would come in handy one of these days" Felicity joked. "You were a cheerleader?" Diana asked." Well, like 2 years ago in 7th grade. It wasn't my type of thing, everyone was too peppy." Diana laughed. "Well, we better get going Felicity" Brandy said, smiling at Diana "We'll see you later Di." Brandy said "OK, sweetie, me and Mackie are going on an ice-cream mission" She said." Yeah, we got some too, now we're going to go rent some videos, go home and pig out." Brandy said giggling. "Ohh, sounds fun, well maybe Felicity can come over tomorrow and hang out with the boys. Does that sound good Felicity?" Diana asked "Oh yeah, that would be great." Felicity said, she would never not accept an offer to hang out with cute guys. Diana smiled and waved good-bye as she and Mackie walked into the store. Felicity and Brandy pulled into the Blockbuster parking lot, that was surprisingly empty for a Friday night. They hopped out of the car and walked into the video store. Felicity decided on renting The Shining, her favorite horror movie, and Brandy decided on renting As Good As It Gets, because both of them wanted to see it. They checked out the movies, drove home and started on dinner. Brandy had decided on making veggie burgers with oven fried french fries, her specialty. As they both settled down to eat dinner and watch As Good As It Gets, the doorbell rang. "I'll get it" Felicity said almost spilling her burger on to the floor. Too bad she didn't, it was gross anyways. As she peeked out the peep-hole her heart jumped. It was Taylor and Zac. She opened the door. "Hi" she said "Hi" Taylor and Zac said in unison. "Um, my mom invited you and Brandy to go with us to the river tomorrow because we're going tubing and picnicking." Zac said "OK, well hold on, wait come on in. I'm gonna go ask Brandy." she left the room, all smiles and popped her head into the living room. "Hey Bran, Taylor and Zac invited us to go to the river tomorrow, can we go?" she asked impatiently "Oh sweetie, I have to work tomorrow, but you go ahead and go." Brandy said sadly "Brandy! You go tell them that only I can go, I don't want to look like a total fool, they invited both of us." Felicity pleaded with Brandy. "Alright, OK." She said getting up and walking into the front hallway to be greeted with two big smiles. "Hi Tay, hey Zac, you guys, if it's OK, I can't go tomorrow because I've got work, but I'm sure Felicity would like to go, right?" Brandy said directing the question to Felicity. Felicity nodded while she stared at the floor. "OK, that's great, one person's better than none" Taylor said. "Well Felicity, we'll see you tomorrow at 9:00, it's kinda early, but we want to be there all day." "OK, " she said smiling at Taylor "what do I need to bring?" she asked "Oh, just your bathing suit, a towel, and if you want, a set of extra clothes, it takes a few hours to get back, and it sucks sitting in the car with your wet bathing suit on, especially when my dad blasts the A/C, you'd probably die." Taylor said jokingly "OK, well I'll see you tomorrow guys." Felicity said as Zac and Taylor walked out the door, Taylor turning around and smiling. Ahh!!! Felicity thought, he's cuter than I thought, but he's probably just trying to be nice to me because I'm fat she thought to herself negatively. "Felicity turned around as she shut the door, and Brandy was staring at her with a half-smile, as soon as Felicity started walking back into the living room, Brandy started cracking-up...hard. "What?!" Felicity said defensively. "I think you're in love" Brandy said "I am NOT!" Felicity said as they both started giggling. "Hey well, we'll watch these movies tomorrow night, it's almost midnight, being out in the sun all day will wear you out and you need all the sleep you can get." Brandy said "OK, well goodnight" Felicity said grabbing her 12-pack of cokes and can of Pringles to put in her room. "Goodnight sweetheart" Brandy said smiling as her only niece walked up the stairs, half in love.
