First of all, this page wouldn't be happening without my brother. He got me hooked on the Dave Matthews Band in 1995 and I have been a fan ever since. My favorite song is "Lie In Our Graves" and I can play the intro on the guitar.

A couple of necessary links for any DMB Site are The Official Dave Matthews Band Site and Nancies.org, an excellent resource on the band. The Dave Matthews Band has been featured in Rolling Stone magazine a few times. Check out the official stuff at Rolling Stone's Official Site. I recently found this cool site as a DMB resource.

I have only been to one DMB concert, which I will soon be getting a copy of. It was on 6 June 1997 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. I went with my brother, his girlfriend, his friend, and my sister. We met up with some of my sister's friends a while into the show and I really enjoyed myself. I think the funniest thing happened before we even got to the concert. Some guy was REALLY drunk and he started peeing out of his car window on the backed-up highway leading into the venue. His friends were all laughing and trying to make the best of it. Everyone in my car was rolling. The set list at that concert was as follows*:

Saratoga Performing Arts Center

Jimi Thing
Lie In Our Graves
Seek Up
Tripping Billies
Lover Lay Down

So Much To Say

The Dave Matthews Band, or Dave Matthews, have been on a few different shows: PBS In The Spotlight, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Charlie Rose Show, VH1 Storytellers, VH1 FanClub, MTV All Access, and a VH1 rooftop broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theatre in NYC. I have most of these on VHS, but they are pretty poor quality. I tried to send an e-mail to the band to see about getting a compilation of all of these appearances so the fans could have good copies, but I have yet to get anything through. Maybe it will happen someday. They are coming out with a live DVD in the fall, so this other thing may come to pass sooner than I think.
