Brief History of Sorority

FOUNDED

November 12

1922

It all began on that great day back in 1922 at Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana. When 7 school teachers decided to get together and form the best sorority to ever come into existence. Of course there were the others, but who wanted to be something that was not true from day one. These seven founders knew what they wanted, which was true sisterhood with a capital S. I'm not going to sit here and name all seven because I already know them and I want to stray from the norm of the other pages. They contructed a motto which was the beginning of a legacy, Greater Service, Greater Progress.

Since then the sorority has grown to include chapters all over the world, such as the Caribbean, and Africa just to name two. We have thousands of sorors overseas as well as in the states. Where ever I have been throughout my college career I have encountered sisterhood and I am darn proud to be a member of the best sorority in the WORLD
