Grammar Games

1. Type your last portfolio paragraph in MS Word. Be sure to spell check and place in your portfolio.

2. Go to Mrs. G's. Scroll down to Grammar heading. Click on Educational and Professional Development Services. On right hand side of this page about half-way down is a white box that says "Take a Free Test." Click on that box. Fill out the form. Use your initials and my email address: kglee@webtv.net. Now take the 41 question test. I missed four when I took the test. See if you can beat my score.

3. In the address bar type this address: http://www.webcomics.com/madlib/index.html Click on one of the titles on the right. Follow the instructions. Do at least three different titles. Print out the finished paragraph for one title.

4. Find new language-related web sites. Go to search and type in keywords that you think will lead you to sites I could use in my future classes or to sites that will help you in your future English classes. Keywords you might try include English, teaching, lesson plans, literature, vocabulary, poetry, grammar, composition, research, reference, etc. Try your own LANGUAGE-RELATED keywords too. When you find something valuable, write the address below. Whoever finds the most language-related sites will have one point added to their final average.
