Poetry Scramble

Photocopy a poem. Cut the poem apart in strips of one or two lines. Give each student a strip and allow them five minutes to memorize the lines on the strip. The students then try to reconstruct the poem in the right order. They should try to do so without referring to their strips. When they feel they have recreated the poem in the right order, they present it to the class. The teacher then reads the orginal version.
