Chapter 1-Banshees & The New Girl

Taylor sighed heavily. Yet another trip to Los Angeles, California. Of course he loved travelling…but why did they have to go to LA often? Why not somewhere unique? The Bahamas? Denmark? Ecuador? Spain? But no…they had to go to LA. He looked at Isaac who was sleeping peacefully beside him. He wondered how someone could sleep on a plane. Next, Taylor stole a glance at Zac. Zac was sitting on his other side scribbling on some paper.

“This sucks,” he mumbled to himself.

The plane landed at LAX Airport not long after. Though to Taylor it was a never-ending torture chamber inside the plane. Once they stepped into the airport, they were greeted by the high pitched shrills of teenage girls, or as Taylor liked to call them, ‘banshees’.

"Just smile and look happy," Walker instructed his sons.

“Oh my god! I love you Taylor!” one banshee shouted at Taylor. Taylor just smiled politely and waved.

”I love you!” another one screeched.

‘You don’t love me, you don’t even know me,’ he mentally scowled. Fortunately, Taylor, Isaac, Zac and Walker were ushered into a waiting van, ready to drive them off to their hotel.

When they arrived at the hotel they would be staying at, after what seemed like an eternal ride to Taylor, they were given separate rooms. Taylor dropped his suitcases on the floor and fell face down on his bed. He let out a scream, which was muffled by the pillow. He really needed some time to wear off the jet lag.

Later that night, Taylor, Isaac, Zac and Walker were scheduled to have a meeting with Christopher Sabec, the band’s manager. They arrived at the classy restaurant at 7 sharp. They were guided to their table where Christopher had already been seated.

“So, why the meeting?” Isaac asked as he began looking through the menu eager to find something ‘normal’, he longed for just hamburgers and fries not gray poupon and caviar.

“Um…I really do not know how to spring this up on you guys. But, you see, due to some terrible circumstances, my 15-year-old god daughter will be with us for a while,” Christopher said, sadness evident in his voice.

“That’s fine, Chris,” Walker said with a smile, “Are you OK with that boys?” Walker asked as he looked at his 3 sons seated around the table.

Isaac, who was already smiling widely at the mention of ‘daughter’, replied, “Sure,”

“This is gonna kick ass! Another person to piss off!” Zac joked.

Walker gave him a stern look.

"I was joking!” Zac said as he held up his hands in mock surrender, “Yeah, I’m fine with it,”

“What about you, Tay?” Walker asked his 2nd eldest son.

Taylor looked up at him and slowly nodded.

“Yeah, I’m cool with it,” he replied.

‘God Damnit, now we have a screaming banshee touring with us,’ he thought harshly. After all, weren’t all teenage girls Hanson fans and/or teeny boppers?
