After about an hour, Scarlet retreated to her room to get changed since Taylor had invited her to come to the Sam Goody’s store appearance. She had an extremely hot shower, welcoming the hard pounds of water on her tense back. After her shower ended, she changed into dark blue hip huggers and a tight black tank top. She placed her ¾ sleeved cardi on top and buttoned only the middle button before putting on her black Docs. She tied her thick dark hair into a high ponytail and placed her keys, her wallet, her cell phone, her diary and a pen in her small black Adidas backpack. Scarlet made sure everything had been turned off before leaving her room headed for the fountain in the lobby downstairs where she saw Chris, Walker, Zac and Isaac still waiting for Taylor.
“Hi, Scarlet,” they chorused. This surprised Scarlet since Isaac had greeted her as well.
‘Maybe Taylor is right, maybe he doesn’t hold grudges,’ she thought to herself. But never the less, she felt the need to apologize.
“Hi,” she said with a small wave, “Uh…Isaac, can I talk to you?”
Isaac raised an eyebrow.
“Sure,” he said slowly.
Scarlet and Isaac walked to the other side of the fountain, where neither Chris, Walker nor Zac could see them or hear them.
“Isaac, look, today has been a really fucked up day for me, everyday is usually. I’m sorry if I’ve given you the wrong first impression of me,” Scarlet apologized to Isaac for the second time that day. Isaac smiled and shook his head.
“No problem, Scarlet. I understand, don’t worry, you’re forgiven,” he replied with a smile.
“Cool. I just thought, that you know, you might hate me after the way I treated you today,”
“Look Scarlet, you’re-“
“I just don’t want you guys to think badly of me,”
“Scarlet, I said-“
“It’s just, with everything that’s happened, it’s hard for me to be myself again,”
“Shut up, Scarlet! You’re forgiven!” Isaac shouted with a smile as he placed on arm around her shoulders, “And don’t think that I would ever think less of you,”
“Thanks,” she smiled as they walked back to Chris, Walker, Zac and Taylor who had arrived while Scarlet and Isaac were talking.
