Chapter 2-Scarlet Amber Violet Cavelli

“What was her name again?” Taylor asked Isaac. He, along with Isaac, Zac and Walker, were sitting in a private booth at a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, patiently awaiting the arrival of Christopher Sabec and his god daughter.

“Scarlet Amber Violet Cavelli,” Isaac replied as he looked towards the door in hopes that Scarlet and Christopher would walk in at that moment.

“Talk about a colorful name!” Zac joked.

”They’re here!” Walker announced as he pointed towards the door. He was right. Christopher along with a teenage girl with thick black layered hair, shining blue eyes and tanned skin walked through the door and towards their table. Isaac, Taylor and Zac stared at her. She was beautiful in her own unique way and had an air of mystery hovering around her.

“Scarlet, this is Walker, Isaac, Taylor and Zac. Guys, this is Scarlet Amber Violet Cavelli,” Christopher announced, introducing the whole group.

“Hi,” the Hanson men chorused.

Scarlet only offered a quiet ‘hello’ and a small wave before assuming her positing in between Christopher and Walker hoping that nobody would talk to her or ask her about herself. No such luck.

“So Scarlet, where are you from?” Walker asked her.

“Mountain View, Arkansas,” Scarlet answered.

“That’s nice. How old are you?”

“15,”

”You’re the same age as Taylor,” Christopher said as he pointed to his second oldest son.

Taylor looked up at the mention of his name and his eyes came in contact with Scarlet’s. The stare lasted for a mere few seconds, but in those few seconds it had managed to entrance Taylor towards Scarlet and find her even more intriguing than she already seemed to be.

“Scarlet?” Christopher asked breaking the ‘moment’.

“Hmm?” she asked him.

“Would you like to order anything?”

“No," Scarlet shook her head, "I’m not exactly hungry, Chris. Can I have my key to my room now so I can sleep? I am like so way tired,” Scarlet said as she held out her hand. That was the longest sentence she had said all night.

Christopher sighed and reached into his pocket to retrieve the key to Scarlet's room. He placed it in the palm of her hand.

“Thanks,” she said before turning and walking away, not bothering to say good bye.

“I’m sorry for her attitude,” Christopher sighed once Scarlet was out of ear shot.

“Attitude? What attitude?” Walker asked with a smile.

“I mean, the mono tone voice, the impoliteness. I’m sorry, she’s just been through a lot lately,”

“Don’t worry, Chris. This is expected after what’s happened to her,” Walker answered, he and Chris were both sharing a secret about Scarlet that neither Isaac, Taylor nor Zac knew about.

“Thanks. I just didn’t know how you would handle her. And believe me, this isn’t the worst. She’s extreme, either extremely polite or extremely bitchy,”

“I’m sure it’s not that bad,”

“Yeah, and if it is, there’s always boarding school,” Christopher joked.

“Yeah, boarding school,” Walker repeated.

”No, I can’t do that. Her mother would have me hanged if I did that to her baby!” Christopher laughed.

“Point taken,” chuckled Walker.

"Don't ever let anybody doubt who you are. If they do, I'll bash the crap out of them," Nikolas
