Scarlet sat on her bed clutching a pillow. She buried her face into the pillow and sobbed heavier as flashbacks flooded her head.
No! she screamed as she threw the pillow hard against the wall. Scarlet stood up abruptly, she walked to the sliding glass door and opened it. She stepped out onto the balcony. The wind blew against her soft skin, drying some tears, but never the less more tears of sorrow and woe fell freely from her eyes. She walked to the ledge and peered over the railing at the cars and pedestrians below. With her right hand she wiped away a few tears, though it did not make a difference for her face was still tear stained.
Everythings wrong, she whispered, letting the wind carry her words away. She slowly and carefully stepped onto the railing, only holding on to the balcony above her for reassurance.
Good bye, Scarlet whispered. She shut her eyes tightly for a brief moment before re-opening them. She let one hand drop, but gripped onto the above balcony tighter with the other hand. This was it.
Taylor sighed heavily before running after Scarlet. He couldnt just leave her without finding out what really made her cry. He wouldnt have normally followed a girl into her hotel room unless her name was Jennifer Aniston, but with Scarlet there was an air of mystery that made her all the more appealing. Taylor ran straight to Scarlets door and pushed it open, obviously, it had not been locked. He was just in time to see Scarlet standing on the railing looking as if she were going to jump at any given time.
Shit, he gasped. Taylor raced to the sliding door and pulled it open before running to Scarlet and grabbing her free arm.
Scarlet looked down at Taylor, half in anger and half in surprise.
Let go of me, Taylor! she shouted.
No! Come down! Taylor protested.
Why, Taylor? Nothings right! I cant do this anymore! I cant live like nothing happened! Scarlet shouted as more tears fell from her eyes, making two distinct paths down each side of her cheek. This made Taylor more interested in her past there was something about her past that seemed to affect her a great deal.
Damnit, Scarlet, I dont know what happened! But can you please come back down so we can talk about it? Taylor pleaded.
Fuck you, Taylor! You dont even know what happened! And even if you did, theres nothing you could do about it! You cant change the past, Scarlet sobbed as she turned away from him.
Listen to me, Taylor started in a softer tone, Youre right. I dont know what happened to you and youre right, I cant change the past. But I can talk about it with you, I can help you get over it, he told her soothingly.
Since when did I start sounding like a therapist? he mentally asked himself.
Scarlet laughed evilly at him, What good would that do huh? Just leave me alone!
No, I wont leave you alone! Ive become a part of this, now I cant leave knowing youre like this! Taylor had begun shouting once more.
Go to hell!
Scarlet please, Taylor begged.
Scarlet looked deep into his eyes. She saw trust, loyalty, sincerity and compassion.
Do you trust me? Taylor asked with a pleading face.
Scarlet looked down before looking into his eyes again.
I trust you, she breathed out. Taylor let out a tiny smile as he helped her down.
When she came down, Scarlet threw herself into Taylors awaiting arms.
