It was 2:00pm. Scarlet had finished having lunch with Chris and was ready to retire to her suite to relax for the rest of the day. She stood in front of her door trying to find her key somewhere in her pocket when she saw Isaac get out of the elevator from the corner of her eye. She knew she had to apologize to him. Sighing, Scarlet walked towards Isaac.
Isaac! she called to him. He spun around to face her and smiled.
Hey, Scarlet, he replied.
Look, Im sorry for being a bitch before. Its just just it was stress. Im really stressed out, Scarlet said as she shook her head, Can you forgive me? she asked, hoping he could find it somewhere in him to say that he would forgive her.
Youre forgiven, Scarlet, he smiled.
Thanks,
Listen, since were not doing anything until about 4-ish, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the pool downstairs. If you dont feel up to it, you dont have to go, Isaac suggested.
Scarlet offered him a small smile, What the hell. Yeah, Ill come. Ill meet you back here in about 5 minutes?
Kay, Without another word she left to go inside her room. She was glad that Isaac had asked her to go swimming, she needed something to clear her mind. She quickly changed into short denim shorts and a long baggy shirt, not feeling comfortable wearing a bikini in front of a stranger and what had happened. Scarlet grabbed her towel, keys and cell phone before walking out again. She waited a while for Isaac to come. When he eventually showed up, the 2 made their way downstairs to the indoor pool.
This is one big pool, Isaac said as they stepped inside the room that contained the indoor pool.
Youre telling me. Its gigantic! Scarlet laughed. They placed their towels down on one chair.
Ready to go in? Scarlet smiled, sending Isaacs heart beating even faster.
Kay, he replied. Without warning, Scarlet dived in the pool at the deeper end and surfaced at the shallow end.
Come on Isaac! she whined. Isaac shook his head and laughed before diving in where Scarlet had done so just moments before and resurfaced beside Scarlet.
Youre a good swimmer, Isaac complimented her.
Thanks, she blushed, biting her lip. Yet another silence swept over them, only this time, their eyes were locked in an inquisitive stare. After a minute of silence, Isaac could no longer take it anymore. He wanted so badly to touch her, to kiss her, to hold her to be with her. He placed his hand on her cheek and carefully caressed her cheek with his thumb. Slowly, he leaned down, further, and further, each movement making him closer to Scarlet. At the last moment, Scarlet tensed and pulled away.
Im so sorry, Isaac. I cant do this. Not now, Scarlet said apologetically before hopping out of the pool. She grabbed her towel, keys and cell phone from the chair and ran out. That was the second time that day she had done that to Isaac in less than 24 hours.
